Jumped on the Gunpla bandwagon in the last couple weeks? Why not treat yourself with these Nippers!

Look I probably didn't NEED them, but since my local Good Game was selling the regular Godhand nippers for $70 and the Bandai basics for $45, why not get these?

I replaced Games Workshop basic nippers and I will never look back.

Next up, I'm on the lookout for a deal on the Gunprimer Raser.

NOTE: Usual caveat these are from Amazon JP so you may need to refresh your browser or use the mobile app or sacrifice your left pinky to get the price.

OOS: If you are keen for a pair, this is the 3rd time in a week the price has been this low, so keep an eye on them!

Might as well get a new Gunpla model kit with this kinda money.

  • Yesssss will be a good supplement to by DSPIAE nippers, gotta save this for the fancy cuts.

  • +2

Good Price, it's now similar price to the mere mortal normal nippers

  • +2

Really! any decent ozbargainer would use their teeth.

    • +1

Ok, how many teeth are a fair price?

  • Me: using daiso 2.50 nail clipper HAHA

    • +2

I also use nail clippers haha also, I'm enjoying all these gunpla posts lately

    • +2

      Hard Mode Activated!

Daiso has a very good hobby cutting board for $8 while your there.

  • +1

Oh man, I have the DSPIAE ST-A but this is really tempting. Single-bladed nippers makes gunpla so much better for me.

  • +1

I've got one of this kind from Tamiya. Not as expensive but definitely not cheap. It works just fantastic. Clean and sleek cut on any plastic.

  • +4

Only use these to trim nubs. DO NOT use them to cut thicker runner parts!

    • +3

Don't use it on clear plastic either while you're at it! (The things you discover from perusing the manual)

  • +8

The only set of nippers Gundam hobbyists will ever get to play with.

  • +3

Dude, don't waste your money on BS like the Gunprimer Raser. Just go on Aliexpress or whatever your choice of cheap online store is, search for "nano glass file", and get the cheapest one. They're the same thing, just without the marketing.

    Thank you OP!

Been looking for these since they are the best and I'm pretty time poor with second kid coming along

  • I bought this last week from Amazon JP for $52.54.

  • Perfect timing =]

  • +1

Right after I bought a pair off HLJ and paid for shipping too… The godhands are usually ~5600jpy after tax, making this a sweet discount.

    • +1

Ye for this price I would cop instantly, hobby stores are selling these for 90+

  • Can I actually use this for nail clippers lol? I can’t find a decent one

  • Thanks OP, great deal. Looks like shipping is gonna take a while though.

Incredibly price for a transcendent piece of kit for the modeler these, but it cannot be overstated how incredibly delicate these are. Broke my first set more or less just by looking at them wrong. Sounds like gatekeeping but beginners should treat them like they're made of glass.

Be aware these are single sided too which isn't immediately obvious, so left handers will need to adapt their technique.

  • Thank you! been waiting for the price drop/restock on the spn-120 for a while now.

Watching through the God Hand episodes of Initial D right now, what a coincidence 🙃

  • I use klein flush cutters which work nicely

    • I used similar nippers (Hakko) on my first couple of kits and they do the job, but single blade nippers like the Godhands are on another level.

  • Price no longer available ?

Alright , next , compressor and air brush

Wow so overpriced for some cuticle nippers… if you want really great quality ones go for these at a fraction of the price: https://masternailsupply.com.au/products/nghia-clipper-b-901

    Local stock too….support local.

    • Yeah these look exactly the same…my bad for posting expensive ones. /s

      • don't knock it till you try it

        • I personally don't need to since I got GH already. But thanks for posting options for others, not everyone wants to drop the cost of a kit on nippers.

The neg is a bit harsh since your comparing a yaris to a Bentley.

          • +1

@Nalar: You are right, the neg was too harsh and was haphazardly applied by me - unfortunately for some reason it wont let me take it off now (maybe cause OOS or too long since it initially was applied)… I do agree it is a poor comparison, but a good option for those on a budget!

EDIT: nvm! found a way to revoke the neg - needs to be done from the votes section.

            • @Meeb: You sir win the internet for the day!

              • +1

@Nalar: Thanks for being kind :)

    • Different uses, this is single edge and made as sharp as possible to avoid plastic turn white after cutting.

    • +3

over the years, I have tried plenty of cutters, from the beginners nail clippers and scissors to models building cutters and the Bunnings ones, I got a pair of God Hand during peak COVID boredom and the difference is night and day, GH just cuts like hot knife through butter and you can (probably) never go back.

but at $14, if I see one of these clippers available locally, I will definitely give it a go.

on a side note, I recall coming across some Taiwanese nippers which claims to be as good as the God Hand, with the added bonus of replaceable blades, I will post it here if I can find the link again.

      • look for Carbon Steel Precision Sharp Cutter with yellow and orange handles.

  • Someones been watching Wranglerstar videos I take it

  • +1

Omg. They finally shipped it today. About time @.@
