does anyone knows if waiting period served at other insurer will be carried forward if you change to new insurer? i am not talking about optional items but about major items like surgery ?

i have been stuck with a fund for last 15+ year on their gold package but never able to compare if their benefits are best for money i pay ($250/fortnightly)… every fund play around how they pay benefit and how much you can claim so never through out changing in a fear that i will lose benefits of waiting period covered with existing insurances.. !

You need to combine extras to qualify so you won’t get anything with MLS junk insurance
Ends up cheaper for MLS junk insurance to combine with extras for promotion periods.

Yeah, for me, a single with bronze, this is basically 4 weeks free. HCF told me the maximum a fund is allowed to offer is 6 weeks (which is why the Bupa deal is 6+4).
