    This is weird

    The old Aleksandr Orlov

  • My CTM cashback with TCB from April is confirmed but not payable yet, if I churn now, will I still get that cashback?

    • Want to know this as well.

    • You will, so long as you remain financial for 90 days. Some of the offers are still valid until the end of July or even the end of Aug.

      • My cashback from April (see-u) was under the old 60 days term and it's already been 60 days & confirmed; do you mean I should stay another 30 days even though it's confirmed?

I plan to churn to nib via your current offer &TCB and I will stay at least 90 days, but not sure if it will affect my April cashback for see-u (confirmed but not payable yet).

        • mine has already confirmed, i was with union health

          • @[Deactivated]: My question is can I churn while it’s confirmed, or should I wait when it’s payable

            • +1

@RTY: Checking this for you. Will confirm as soon as possible.

        • Correct, it's 60 days.

      • Does missing a direct debit (manually paid later) all within 90 days affect the eligibility?

    • Edit: cashback turned payable today. Churning to nib now

  • +2

Niib will pay after 3 months. Better off Frank or gmhba that offer 6 weeks free after 1 month.

    • +1

I was with AIA Health, then last year moved to GMHBA because those 2 were the only ones with AIAVitality partnership. Now that GMHBA announced they will cease AIAV program, AIA Health would be the only health insurance option if I want to keep mg AIAV membership. This comes at a perfect time, thanks OP for the headsup!
      Have a blessed day 🙏

      • @noelhoi You can get cashback from TopCashback posted here with CTM. I'm not a customer of CTM so can't check if the health fund offers are identical with cashback.

        • This was actually the next qn I was gonna ask! Thanks mate for recommending and I actually had a look before at TCB’s CTM page to see what their T&Cs are, and apparently it says (point #3):

You are however entitled to utilise TCB's cashback and any offers your insurer of choice is offering via
          СТМ.

I don’t churn PHI so I’m inexperienced. Especially using CTM. Can someone experienced clarify? Maybe OP @ctmaus

Say I take AIAHealth Bronze Plus policy for family, I am in WA, and according to the current promo T&C which is the same as provided directly from AIA Health website,
Does it mean I am eligible for $300 1st year and $150 2nd year, and on top of that the $250 cashback from TCB?

          • @noelhoi: Hope the CTM rep can answer if the private health fund offer is identical via TopCashback link. (I don't churn private health fund)

T&Cs with TopCashback: "Note you will not qualify for both cashback and CTM gift cards (if offered)." This is when CTM calls you with a CTM gift card offer which is excluded for cashback. The cashback offer from the health fund seems to be eligible.

            • @trixieb: Yeah I hope so too that it stacks. Keeping AIAVitality alive is important for me, as I can maximise the benefits from the program. Both me and wife’s accounts adds up to $1500 cashback from it annualy!

              • @noelhoi: I'm not familiar with AIA Vitality. Wow that's generous. Is that from exercising and is there a limit on amount earned?

              • @noelhoi: So called loyalty schemes like AIA Vitality are designed to make you a stickier customer (less likely to leave).

$750 each annually is a pittance compared to how much you would save by churning across providers for the 'weeks free' offers.

                Each to their own.

                • +1

@YesPleaseThankYou: Thank you for pointing that out, and while I agree it’s not optimal and much less than what I could have saved by churning, I don’t think I’m up to challenge mentally to take the task of doing churning every few months considering I have to look at what benefits are included etc etc, just too much movement. I do my own profiting somewhere else 🙂

                  • +2

@noelhoi: As I'm not profiting elsewhere, I'll take what I can get from my 5 to 6 churns per annum 😜

                  • +2

@noelhoi: That's fair you value your time elsewhere. I used to be in that position.

Only thing I will add is that hospital cover is all the same. Ie. Bronze is bronze (gov mandated).

It's just the extras you need to get your head around. Do it once, print it out (or whatever you crazy kids do these days- put it on ya insta! or a do a tik tok ..Refer back to it later when you churn back to it.

It's been handy to know who to go with for what. Also good to know what customer support is like between providers.
Bupa are next level terrible (just don't call them). They rang me the other day and my daughter yelled out " Don't call Bupa Dad". The Bupa lady laughed and acknowledged they are indeed less than useless. BUT…I just had $700 of dental work..cost nothing. Will now move on.

                    • @tunzafun001: I was a long time BUPA member until I discovered this churning hack to get the free weeks… only started last year. I'm currently with Medibank, had a clean at BUPA dental and was shocked how little I was covered, when it was fully covered when I was a BUPA member!

                      • @Craze: You mean how little cover you had through Medibank ? (There covers are % based + bonus by using their dentists).

Bupa are generally better, but ..for example, they say general fillings are covered. I had a basic filling in the gap between teeth. Required a couple of cusps at $28 each.
Bupa covered $12, Medibank cover 75% of $28.

Just joined Medibank for the first time. Ironically need to go back to their dentist for a free check/ 2000 live better points…even though I literally just came from a Bupa dentist last week.

Any hidden tips/ perks to keep a look out for with Medibank?
Got the 5000 points, 6 wks free, $300 finder credit and ready for the $50 next week.

                        • @tunzafun001: Yep I was shocked at how little Medibank covered! Standard clean and I was still out of pocket $1xx!

I remember doing clean at Bupa dental, with Bupa cover and was covered entirely, no out of pocket. I'm just waiting for the bonus points to be issued, redeem some stuff and churn away again.

                          • @Craze: I thought they covered one clean a year. Maybe it's just a free check up.

When I had my scale and clean (with Bupa at Bupa Dental) the Hygienest said teeth look fine, get them checked in 6 months.

Said the check ups are free, might as well do one now (also I was leaving in 3 weeks). Bupa dentist found $1700 worth of cavities.. alledgedly. Apparently small.

Got my $900 cover limit worth done. So a few left to go.
Will be interesting to see what the Medibank dentist comes up with when they do their check, and how much it will be ..if anything.

        • Offers are the same, but limited.

Ie. you might not find all the CTM options under TCB.

Likewise, CTM doesn't have all the options that you will find going to the insurer direct. Ie. they didn't have the extras I wanted with Aus Unity. Went with Bupa instead…for now.

Unless you're a serious churner that literally takes the free weeks and changes, even though you have to wait 3 months, NIB 10 weeks free on combined appears to be by the far the best. Doesn't seem to matter what level of cover either. So you can get a reasonable level of cover and get 2.5 months free.

This is literally just an Ad post, but actually reminded me to churn lol.

      • Yes, I’m a serial churner. I suppose with the cashback isn’t too bad.

        • +2

Yeh, just did 10 weeks free with NIB, plus top cashback $250, over a 1/4 of the year paid for.

  • Anyone got their Oodie yet?

    • yes, delivered on monday

      • Not me.

      • Hmmm. I got the what size confirmation email etc at the end of May. Nothing since. Hopefully soon. Current front will make for a cold week.

        • They're still being sent! :) You should receive yours very soon.

          • @ctmaus: As all the RedBull kids say….
            ..Send it !
            Thanks for letting me know.

    • never got mine

      • Postage from our warehouse is still underway. Provided you opted in to receive, it should arrive very soon.

        • I got the email. Called up last week. Told I'm on the list..but CTM only sends x amount through Aussie post per day. So need to keep waiting.

Those who sign up now should be ready to go for summer.

    • Yeah I got mine. It's huge and super warm.

    • Received last week.

      Insurance!

    • +1

Yeh it's actually legitimately awesome. It's so warm that you can't actually run the heater unless you want to boil

  • +2

When I opened the link, it says $600 Cashback for AIA, not $750.

    • +2

Even more confusing, click the AIA terms and it says up to $900.

  • +1

Are any of those a July 1 extras reset provider?

  • +1

Which provider limit resets after 30/06?

    • -5

      Ask Google

    • +1

To my knowledge - ahm and Peoplecare - not sure of any others….

  • so which one is the best deal?

    • +1

Without reading the conditions, hard to argue with a cashback if it’s 1:1 on spend - pump and dump like PHI deserves to be. Then jump onto the next and milk, free weeks are the norm. Rarely see big cash backs.

  • Bupa is providing 10 weeks free cover on combine cover.

  • recently had surgery and not keen on switching in case of any follow up issues, but seems like a few good options

    • recently had surgery and not keen on switching in case of any follow up issues

Your waiting periods transfer. Depending on your hospital excess, I'd still recommend churning.

It's fair enough if you want to take a cautious approach.

      • Yeah, I'm aware that they transfer, just would prefer not to take the risk of there somehow being complications related to it. Low risk of problems anyway, will decrease cover and churn in a couple of months one way or another.

      • Thank you for this tip. Do you know which providers do not count the used extras and give you a new set when you move to them?
        Thanks

  • AHM anything?

  • Don't forget to click through from TopCashBack or CashRewards (slightly lower).

  • hmmmmm cannot see NIB in my compare result, it does not cover family?

  • +5

I would never sign up with this website. They've never been close to the cheapest deal every time I try them, yet they make the average person feel like they are getting the best deal.

    • I would suggest going directly to the providers if that's a concern, pretty sure all those offers are the provider ones not only ones accessible via CTM. In general the offers are best exploited via churn anyway, the cheapest providers don't normally offer great incentives.

  • waiting for better deal as of EOFY time

  • +1

Signed up for NIB via CTM link - $250 and 10 weeks free - hopefully all comes through OK!

EDIT: $250 Pending in TopCashBack already!

  • And drawbacks on separating my policy with my wife's to get cashback*2?

  • Can you switch to NIB and get the waiver benefit if you were previously with AAMI?

  • +2

Theres also a free meerkat hoodie promotion till 14/07/2025 . I had to ask about over to phone though.

  • I have 4 weeks free left on my current provider that I signed up for In March. I think I will hold of churning perhaps and hope for other deals later.

  • +1

I know i left it last minute but went through the whole process just to get an error with no explanation and a message to call, but they're closed.

    • Seems to be an AIA issue, went with BUPA instead and worked fine

    • Yep same here, AIA site is broken. What I get for leaving it to the last minute
