    Not a deal.
I can fly in a - cough - excellent business class seat (cough cough) for around $2,200 with Virgin.
    :)

Totally different product, no Cairns layover, and an actual lay flat.

Good to see flight prices coming back down though.

    • +12

COUGH, 737 … cough cough cough, choking atm

      • +3

ANA world class international airline with lay flat premium quality business class offerings

        Vs

Virgin Australia - arguably better than qantas, but not by much with domestic business class and overpriced business experience

Willy didn’t know what he is talking about :)

        Woosh

Unfortunately, people didn't get it despite the ahem cough…

    • I think you need to add a * pulls on collar * to add the /s zing 😂

    • +1

Hope you're wearing a mask on the plane with a cough like that!

Great price compared to end March 2024 departure and mid April return. I'm traveling then but it's school holidays and Sakura season in Japan. Virgin flights are narrow body jets, via Cairns and not lay flat beds. Apples versus oranges.

  • 24/Feb I'm getting $3066

    • +3

      Still awesome for Business class

    Not a deal.
I can fly (cough) about 6 return trips via Jetstar (cough cough) for about the same price.

*It's sarcasm for those who didn't get it… actually less than 6 given they're likely to get cancelled or delayed.

Wow similar price to my economy BNE to NRT on Qantas

Flew ANA Business to London shortly after the borders opened up again, there were 7 of us on the second flight. The food was so delicious, I'm pretty sure I ate and drank my tickets value. They were also only using the first class lounge in Tokyo at the time, so that was more eating…

Great price for biz class. I paid $1.8k for one way from Tokyo to Syd on Singapore Airlines

    • Is this cash ticket pls?

      • Yea booked in Jan 11 months in advance

just fyi on this route, you will have a very small chance of not getting the fully flat seats.

You will probably get this seat and you cannot complain about the aircraft swap.

afaik they dont service -8s anymore to SYD?

but imagine though, going from a potential 1-2-1 to a 2-2-2… ew

    • +1

Don't tell me that. I start a RTW with this flight in 3 weeks! I've already chosen my single side seat.

  • Moving to Asia in a month's time.

Highly likely I'll take a flight to Japan on ANA since it's so much cheaper.

  • Is Velocity - ANA back though?

    • +1

Nope. I'm saving my Velocity points until they are! Should be later in the year.

    B787-900

    B787-9*

  • Looks like these are only for ANA's day time flights in both directions, not their overnights.

  • +1

With any online purchases, do your due diligence!

This should be highlighted - most of these prices are not directly with ANA but with 3rd party sites, where you have little or no recourse in terms of delays, chnage of flights etc

Not surprised that OP is now mentioning these in their posts - pity it's not highlighted or BOLDED like other parts of their post

Just flew this route in economy. ANA is going aggressively business class first and one of our flights we were offered to upgrade to business for $450 USD per person due to economy being fully booked while business was half empty.

Overall ANA was very good. Seats were comfortable enough. They do have two generations of 787 and the newer one has much nicer entertainment. The only negative we had was the food. They only serve one meal and then snack boxes with prepackaged food (may be different in business class).

10-15mg of Valium and you won’t care what seat your in. I just flew back from Tokyo a couple of days ago in Jetstar economy. Take the Valium 45 minutes before departure, you’ll be asleep when the plane takes off and wake up when the plane lands. And I’m a 6’1 male

  • I can't seem to find any around the $2.8k mark. They are all above $4.2k. Have they been sold out?
