Hey all,

I've been looking for decently priced XM4's for a while now and after having another look through old deals I found this solid deal at TGG eBay.

It's nowhere near as low as they've been but good for now nonetheless.

Enjoy!

$400 for the XM4? Am I out of the loop? I thought this was the cost of the XM5.

    • It's dry out there

    • We up to 5 now?

The Sony xm4 and xm5 are the most comfortable headphones out there from my experience, but their audio quality isnt as good as others in the same price range. Highly recommend going into a retailer and testing a few headphones before pulling the trigger. Also, hook the headphones up via Bluetooth to your phone. Don't let their direct line audio fool you.

This is helpful advice. I'll definitely do this next time.
I have the XM4s and they are all but useless for phone due to picking up background noise. Sounds great to me but the experience for my callers is unbearable and they almost always ask me to take myself off these.

    • Any rec for around that price range with better sound quality? Been looking at these for travelling on the plane.

Hey Deco. The xm4s and 5s have killer sound cancellation for flying. I spent way too long listening to every headphone i could find to demo. I really liked the Sennheiser momentum 4, but the price is a jump up. I ended up with bowers and Wilkins px7 S2. The sound quality is leagues above the xm4s. They are much more neutral, and the clarity is unlike any Bluetooth headphone. The sound cancellation isn't at xm4 level, and it uses buttons instead of touch. If sound is your highest priority. These are it. Sound cancellation, xm4 or 5.

Edit: Bowers Wilkins Px7S2 are $499 on special most places. I hit up the west coast hifi ozb account, and they did $440. Highly recommend hitting them up. I'm not associated with them, just had a good experience and want to shout out good sellers who arent big retailers.

Wow. Stellar response, thank you so much. Honestly B&W one seems good for home use, might get one anyway even if I won't use them for travel haha.

@Deco: If you are in a city that has them on site for demo use, give them a feel. (JB's and the like don't carry them. Best try a DJ store). I have a smaller head, and they fit well. Some people say that their clamp force is pretty high, so if you are a big headed person, it might be worth feeling first. The xm4s and 5s felt like butter on the head, but for me, the audio quality was my priority, as they are daily drivers for my phone and laptop.

      • I changed the sony app EQ to bright and turned up the bass to +6. it sounds pretty good for me

  • The eBay link says $439 to me, Kogan is $399 now

The eBay link says $439 to me,

That's the price before you apply the coupon code. OP's price includes the specified coupon code

  • Paying 20% higher than previous deals is terrible. This would have been on sale price found in 2020.

    • Recent previous deals have been refurbs afaik

Argh, cant justify, my QC35 refuse to die and is still going strong since 2016.

    • I got ATH-SR50BT and they still rock.

  • This or Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700?
