  • my work recently became part of this, i still haven't been able to find a good deal

    • +1

4% off coles and 8% off catch

      • Interesting thing is I used to frequently get the flybuys spend $$ every week for 4 weeks to get 10000 points. I started buying the 4% off coles giftcards and the offers abruptly stopped.

FYI, the gift card was purchased through my Coles credit card and I might have also scanned my flybuyscard while using the discounted giftcard.

Coles doesnt want you to get extra discounts.

        • I always use gift card to pay. And have 3 flybuys accounts one applied first has never received any offer. another 2 accounts have these promotions if I don't shop much. gift card payment doesn't impact your promotion. I bought 5 Coles MasterCard in April almost 3 months ago, I haven't received any promotion since then.

      • Catch 8% is really good. The next best is 2% at Cashrewards and ShopBack. Catch also discontinued 10% off with Unidays and Student Beans.

    • +2

I have saved hundreds to a few thousands over the years.
      Standard rate discount GC are:

      4% eBay, Coles, Woolies
5% JB, TGG, Kmart, Target, BigW, Ikea, Apple, Ampol, Kogan
      6% Myer,
      7% Kathmandu
8% Amart, Catch, Freedom, ebgames, asos
10% SCA, OPSM, xbox, rebel, Event cinemas, BCF

Would be perfect if they added Amazon at 4% or higher discount.

        • You can get Amazon gc at 3% from entertainment book. But there is surcharge associated with it which ends up being under 2% so not much of a deal.

          • +1

@OldSchoolHarry: I buy my Amazon gift cards at 3% off (no surcharge) from Macquarie's Gift Card Marketplace. All you need for access is a transaction/savings account which is fee free.

  • Can you used the cards online?

    • yes only once. then you have to use the balance in store.

      • +1

Which store can only be used once online?
The 3listed can be used many times from my use of them

      • No mention of this in the SCA gift card T&Cs.

        • i think it was #2

          • @Hugh G Rection: Don't think that's what it means. You can only add one gift card in checkout. Most shops have a limit for how many gifts card can be used for online payment. You can still use the remaining gift card balance in a future online transaction.

    • Yes

  • ah crap, my company doesn't have this. any other way to get it? i plan on buying a ton of crap from Super cheap auto because im going to use my tax refund for a downpayment towards a new car.

    • Look up previous deals for rewards gateways, and it looks like you can sign up for a paid membership to “AAI” approx $9.75/month and no lock in. Then you can access reward gateway as an “employee” of AAI. I haven’t tried it.
It looks like the applications are manually processed and take up to 48 hours to approve. ie you likely won’t have in time for this deal.

I was going for 10% Ticketek discount for Taylor Swift tickets, but too stressed about buying them ahead and not getting any, or the cart timing out if I’m lucky enough to get through.

      • LEGEND!!!!!!!!
        not all heroes wear capes.

    • There's a 20% discount on Super cheap auto if you have Super with Australian Unity. Check here

      • dang it, i am with Australian super and getting smashed with no lube lately.

        • FYI I signed up for "API" today which I think that ts3 was referring to.
Signed up this morning and got a call to confirm just before, then my login for reward gateway came in.
Signed up using this link https://join.apilifestyle.com.au/membership-pages/api-member…
its $9.75 a month (43c credit card fee, no fee for direct debit) and you can cancel whenever you want.

Already saved $15 on a Rebel order so worth it!

    • +1

You can also sign up for free for Australian Retirement Trust for free. Their rewards portal has tons of gift card on discount.
Supercheap Auto is at 7% discount.

  • OP is the surcharge new?
I haven't had a surcharge on this program

    • Some payment methods on Reward Gateway will attract a surcharge.

The feedback I have previously been given by Reward Gateway’s support team is as follows:

      • Mastercard or Visa debit card: 0%
      • Standard Mastercard or Visa credit card: 0%
      • Premium / Platinum Mastercard or Visa credit card: 0.5%
      • Standard AMEX card: 1.5%
      • Premium AMEX card: 3%

In reality, I have never seen a surcharge when using a Westpac Altitude Rewards credit card (which is a Platinum Mastercard credit card), but I have seen a 1.5% surcharge applied to an AMEX Qantas Discovery credit card.

If you are able to use a prepaid gift card on Reward Gateway, those should be treated like a debit card (i.e. 0% surcharge).

      • +1

Ah thanks, haven't used any of these cards with surcharge be why.

      • +1

YMMV, but it wanted to charge 0.5% on my HSBC Platinum Visa CC, but no surcharge on Citi Prestige CC which was a little surprising to me!

  • “6% discount on DanMurphys (Was 6%)”
    So what’s the change/difference/bargain?

    • +2

Pretty sure its a mistake / typo from OP, since most Dan's gc's are normally 5% and I've seen them in RG at 5% usually.

      • This is my experience too.

      • Just double checked it , 6% is correct

        • +1

No, we mean the normal price is 5% and the special is 6% (current offer)

Op wrote 6% was 6%. The post has been corrected now anyway

          • +1

            @nismo: Ohk , got it
            1% extra sale :D

            • @SamyKn: An extra $10 - if you're spending $1K :D

    • +1

      Updated it.
      It was 5% earlier.

      • Thanks for confirming :)

  • I missed out on the ebay deal for the Garmin Epix, so 15% off Rebel vouchers was great (not as good as the ebay deal but close enough)
