        They keep releasing DLC with more campaigns. Plus, who doesn't like playing against bots? The AI gets updated too.

        the most cost-effective right now will be to buy the Buy Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition – Return of Rome Bundle BUNDLE (which contains the base DE game + Romans) and then buy the additional DLC packs - Indians, Dukes and West - all 3 will cost another $12ish total since they are discounted right now too.

      Yep, Significantly better! New campaigns, updated regularly, new civs, matchmatching and the big one being the graphics upgrade. It's difficult going back to HD.
