Alright, here are a few more options for a sweet weekend getaway. Just got my hands on some free codes that are totally working. Check out the CakeBake Sweets Show in Melbourne this weekend. You can grab tickets for any single day you prefer.

Any sampling going on? Free food?
Not on the basis of last year. Went on a free ticket and wasted my time, just a trade show.
Are you associated, OP? All of your posts so far have been for these baking trade shows.
I went today, I would recommend to avoid at all costs.
Unless you like the type of events that charge you (well not the Ozbargainer, but the general public) for entry into an "event" only to have you pay for everything on show.
And there was only around 6 or so vendors actually handing out samples, after giving you the sales pitch on what makes their brownie slice the best.Ontop of that, there was a LOT of empty space on the floor.
Even more bizarre was the few vendors at a Cake, Bake & Sweets show, that were selling BBQ's, Hot Sauce, and Chilli Oils… wtf…In summary, unless you are really bored and its rainy and you are in the city anyway… stay away.
Thanks for sharing! Saved me a trip
Looks to be a co-located event with World Food Championships Australia which might explain the other vendors.
Oh and you must’ve missed the stall doing eyebrow threading…WTF!
I went today with my sisters and after watching the very entertaining Kirsten Tibbals chocolate/cake demo, we didn’t want to keep walking around the venue waiting for anyone else to come on. The venue took up half the space compared to the previous time we went. There are still stalls selling baking related stuff but just not as many as before and no where near the amount of free stuff being handed out as per previous visits. We won’t go back again.
Went today and it was OK but probably not worth it unless you are into baking and are looking for supplies. There were some interesting edible printed items. Some of the decorated cakes were amazing.
There aren’t a lot of samples but there are some interesting cakes, slices, muffins if you are willing to pay for them.
There are several demonstration areas as well.
Was a good day out. Lots to see. Lots to sample. Plenty of displays, good for kids and families. Thanks for posting the code op.
They mustn't be selling well…
