[NSW, VIC] Donate Pre-Loved Kathmandu Clothing in-Store, Get $10 Kathmandu Voucher (Summer Club Members Only) @ Kathmandu

140

Great initiative from Kathmandu here.

We’re excited to invite our NSW and Victorian-based Summit Club members to participate in the Kathman-REDU promotion during July.

Kathman-REDU aims to reduce our products ending in landfill by encouraging the reuse or repurpose of old, used or faulty Kathmandu through in-store donations.

Summit Club members who donate an acceptable pre-loved piece of Kathmandu gear in any Victorian and NSW stores between 1 – 31 July 2023 will be eligible to receive 1 x $10 voucher. Only 1 voucher is available per Summit Club member.

All clean pre-loved Kathmandu clothing (i.e. not tents/packs) will be accepted for the purpose of this promotion.

Other pre-loved Kathmandu items can also be donated but will not be eligible for the $10 voucher.

In order to receive the voucher, Summit Club members must provide their Summit Club membership number and the items to a staff member at the counter.

The $10 voucher will be issued via email to the Summit Club member within 24 hours of the donation. That voucher can be used in-store or online, will have a 30-day expiry from date of issue and require a minimum spend of $10.

If a Summit Club member wishes to purchase something in-store before their voucher has been emailed, staff can assist by processing an in-store code, in which case the Summit Club member will not receive the $10 voucher via email.

Voucher cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.

This offer is not available to employees of Kathmandu or the KMD Brands group of companies.

Enjoy!

Surely most Kathmandu clothes in decent condition could get a better price on Gumtree or marketplace

They should at least be offering $25 if the clothing is in decent condition. $10 is a bit of a joke.

    • Surely a lot of people would have old thermals? $10 for well worn thermals sounds good to me.

It won't work that way. Part of email says

Disclaimer: Acceptable pre-loved Kathmandu gear for the purpose of this promotion is limited to: clean and in good condition apparel. Only 1 voucher is available per Summit Club member. Promotion available at participating VIC and NSW stores between 1 - 31 July 2023.

      • Use my ancient Kathmandu thermals to sleep in. Still useful & warm after years of use on mountain trails & snow country. But the waist elastic has perished.
Don't think anyone else should have to wear them!

  • Does anyone know how many vouchers can be used for a single online purchase at Kathmandu?

  • Only 1 voucher is available per Summit Club member.
A $10 one is next to useless with overpriced Kathmandu, unless can be combined with another voucher on same account, which hasn't been my experience.

Receive more $20 "we miss you" vouchers than I know what to do with (every few months).

Bought new Kathmandu thermals over a year back for $1.25 each after discount on Clearance stock & regular $20 voucher. Still in box, I've got so many!
And Nepalese lambs wool beanies free with $20 vouchers.

You also receive a $10 voucher with total spend in account of $250. Only received 1 in last decade as a member!

    • Don't waste the $20 "we miss you" vouchers- just pick something cheap-ish from clearance as birthday gifts!

      • Always use the $20 vouchers. As I said - spent on Clearance (plus extra sale discount) for around value of voucher.

But $10 vouchers like in this Deal, are next to useless as either already have the few items around that price on Clearance, or have to spend a lot more to make a purchase.

Posted over a year back, that vouchers could be reused instore. Bought so much using each $20 voucher then. Like nice merino tops for a little more. K changed their computer system since.

Have boxes of free or cheap Clearance thermals, beanies, locks, socks etc that have never been used. It might be used - one day. Always take thermals on travels.
Tried to give some away to friends - not interested. Might set up my own Kathmandu store😉

Will they take those really hard socks that my teenage son leaves under his bed?

Given the price of their products youd think they could do a bit better than $10 store credit.. and you have to be a member, on top of all that they are required to be in good condition to be eligible. I honestly think this is the opposite of a deal, you'd do much better putting them up on Facebook marketplace or gumtree and getting 50-100 bucks used. Its not worth a downvote but its not a great initiative either, marketing didn't have anything to do one week so this is what they came up with.. Ill be surprised if more than 100 people actually bring their clothes in.

  • sounds like BS…bet it all ends up in landfill anyway!
