Nice, now if only it was JB or Amazon.

    • +9

Same price at TGG with using code EXTRA15

      • +4

        Thanks OP bought from TGG

    • Can JB price match it with code EXTRA15?

      • +7

        I did earlier today: https://imgur.com/a/XbuLRHc

        • +1

          you can do that online?

          • +8

@Jabbawingo: Yes, you can talk to JB HiFi's live chat during business hours and you can ask them to price match items. If they are okay with the price match, they will give you a unique cart URL with the new price, and usually this unique cart link expires on the same day at 11:59 PM.

Just keep in mind that you can't do split payments online, so if you have multiple gift cards, you would need to go in store to price match, as far as I know.

        • Lucky! They told me they couldn't price match Harvey Norman and that Good Guys was out of stock so they could only match their listed price of $345

          • @ShadowStealer7: I was told they have been directed to not match HN, but when I supplied TGG link they said they would match the price including delivery = $301.25
Still a good deal. They will try and avoid it, but insist and they will eventually accept it and give you this offer.

          • +1

@ShadowStealer7: Just got them from JB, Initially I asked them to price match TGG but due to stock issues I later price matched HN. I guess it really depends on the CS rep. If order id can help - #JBD-CUMMGT

        • Youre lucky. I used jb hifi live chat and they said they dont price match coupon codes.

          • +1

@effbee: Just got them from TGG anyway. Yay!

            • @effbee: Tried jbhifi store and they would not match.
Tried chat and same wont match the extra 15%

              • +1

@Raja2nv: I had the same from rep. They dont match Harvey Norman but tell them to price match TGG and they will because its same company. You may get the $8 added for delivery if no stock in your postcode, so give them postcode of the city for whichever state you in with stock. For example Sydney CBD..

                • @nfusion: Thanks for the info will note this for next time as the chat is now closed

  • +7

    Nice find.

These are probably below cost so you’re actually hurting HN by buying there.

    • +3

bold of you thinking buying things would actually hurt the seller

    • +4

      I would say not,
It is more probable that Bose has given the green light for such a sale
and they probably absorb the discounted prices.

    • +3

It's called rebates my friend, you think Gerry is just giving back to the community 😂

Thanks was actually looking at these the other day.

I have a set of Bose QC35s. These are pretty much identical right? Would I be better off getting a set of 700s?

    • +1

I prefer my first gen 35s to my 45s fit and comfort wise, but the 45s are usb c, so they win. The 700s are super cool, but don't fold up so nicely, so I've stuck with the QC45. Probably worth going in store and actually picking up and trying on a pair of the 700s if you're interested

      • @Soapdroid - Apart from USB C - I find the first generation 35s to be superior in every way.

        1. Microphone placement on the 35s is better, so it cuts out more background noise.

        2. To me, they sound better than the 35s and the headband feels more premium.

        3. They made the 45s ear cups thinner to reduce heat. The downside is you get more noise intrusion when there’s a lot of background noise like on a busy road etc.

Do you have the same problem with your 45s?

        • Honestly I do think the 35s are superior, however for me the differences are not that vast between the two. I'm more than happy with these compromise (yes I generally agree with all 3 points, but I also find differences are not that extreme) to get the USB C charging. If that wasn't an issue for me, I would still be using the QC35.

      • 35s have a better NC function, 3 settings as opposed the 5s having an on/off only mode.

    • +1

I tried both QC45 and 700 in store ended up going with the 700. To me the sound was a touch nicer although you probably won't notice it if you're not picky with sound quality. And the QC45 felt clumsy to me as they move and adjust in every which way. 700's are clean looking and sound a bit better and just fit nice so I went with them. I know plenty who like the QC45 but they weren't my preference

      • 700 is nice. But I hate having to reset the headphone size when putting it in the case

        • -1

This. Everytime I pack my 700's away I miss my qc35's.

          First world problems.

      • I bought 700 at 238 bucks last time from Amazon

Not really good compared with my old Sony xm2

        • Both sound similar for the mid and treble but XM2 is more bass heavy. So if you're a boom boom lover you'll probably prefer the Sony's. Personally I like the better balance of the 700's. Treble, mids and bass bang on our of the box imo

    • @Pub Envelope
      ,
Pretty much the same as the QC 35 with some updated tweaks. Hard carry case and cables (USB-C to USB-A + 3.5mm audio cable) still included however, they have dropped the airplane adapter, and there is no pocket for it either in the hard carry case. Presume to save costs. My QC 45 indicates now made in Thailand. My previous QC 35 was made in Mexico.

Different Android app. I presume the same goes for Apple iOS. (now Bose Music instead of Bose Connect). You may need to reset Bose account password if you previously had QC 35s.

my qc35s are indestructible.. still going strong, cant find an excuse to buy these

    • Same here

    • -3

Cheat code. Send back to Bose as faulty and they will replace for Q45's

      • nice. but mine is out of warranty. will they still do that?

        • I think so, but not 100% sure. Could be worth a shot…

      • That just too low to try,we are ozbargainer not ozbeggar

    • Even my QC25's are still going strong.

That said I only wear XM5's now.

    • I've just replaced my third set of ear cushions on our 2 sets of qc35s - I got maybe 8 for about $8 from ebay years ago and think I've just used the last one

    • @Munki Kundi. Almost indestructible. It took a complete house fire, the roof caving in and asbestos contamination to destroy my QC35s :(

JB Hi-Fi didn't want to match the Good Guys Extra15 coupon. Reminded them that it was just a short walk for me to get them @ Harvey Norman (even though I hate Harvey Norman).

i think a new line of bose products are coming soon. they are being cleared out at jb (the 700 and qc45)

    • Maybe, the 700s are right up for replacement.
The QC 35 IIs came out in Oct 2017 and the QC 45s came out in Sep 2021. Probably Q3/Q4 next year the 45s will be replaced.

      • +1

@AirFreight. "Probably Q3/Q4 next year the 45s will be replaced." I have been buying Bose products for 45 years. Their release schedules for Australia/Oceania have always been erratic at best and their product lines are getting thinner. If I were to hazzard a guess, Bose are possibly just reducing inventory and are proving these retailers with rebates to help clear stock. Pretty normal at this time of year. Bose probably haven't made the reduction universal with retailers to help preserve the brand.

The GoodGuys/HN price is pretty good and hard to beat at this point in time. I would say get'em while they are hot, the next opportunity may not come long again for a while. I have had these on my watchlist since February. I lost everything in a house fire and am still waiting for an insurance payout after 5 months! I have missed my Bose gear and am trying to replace when I can. This offer came a good time :)

    • Any more smart glasses range?

      • Nice, looks like QC35 meets NC700

Thank you bought one, pick up from Dandenong.

I came very close to purchasing one for $345 a few days ago.

  • thanks OP, bought one for delivery !!! none available for pickup in my area

use shopback for 3% cashback either through purchasing through the application or buying a gift card close to the amount used :)

    • +2

for the good guys btw !!!

  • Thank you OP. Bought one to pick up from Dandenong… 30 drive from my place.

Feel like I don’t need it as I use AirPod pro most of time but just need something deductible for tax return.

    • need something deductible for tax return

      EOFY was yesterday…

      • +1

Hey, better get a headstart on this FY.

      • Some people might say that you could still buy these and claim immediately because you only technically need a written note and the item to prove purchase because it's under $300. 😉

      • Yes last FY I got AirPod pro

        • Does the noise cancellation work on AirPods Pro? if you had to express it as a percentage, how would you compare airpod pro to qc45, e.g., 80% as good?

    • +1

It's a great idea to consider claiming the QC45 headphones as a tax deduction,
especially if we primarily use them for business purposes such as Zoom calls ;)

      Never crossed my mind actually

A long wait, cant claim it in 22-23 FY!

      • But zoom calls be like 1% of the total use so you only claiming $2.93 right?

        • Consider the size I probably will only use it for meetings and not anything else… too bulky to wear and go out.

  • +12

Harvey Norman… No thanks.. their greed has cost them thousands in sales by me alone. They close down for all I care.

    • I don’t think they’ve noticed…

  • +1

Why oh why can’t you turn off ANC/hear through on these and just have passive sound - I want to like these, but always having either ANC or amplified hear through on is a deal breaker for me. How they haven’t updated the firmware to allow for this is beyond me. Cracker price though

    • Yeah this annoys the hell out of me. I much preferred the QC 35ii. I wouldn't buy these due to that.

  • Does anyone know if the shipping counts towards the $300 required for TRS?
    TIA

    • Of course not.
But you can buy multiple items from the same seller in the same invoice to hit that $300 mark. Just add something for $7.

  • Thanks.

  • +3

Thanks. My Audio-Technica ATH-M50s finally died after my orange cat chewed the cable.

  • I bought this yesterday fffff

I have a xm3 is it worth it upgrade?

    • Same here so following this question

      .

  • Anybody get a Promotion Code is not valid error?

Trying to buy these but doesn't work https://www.harveynorman.com.au/bose-noise-cancelling-headph…

    • I chatted to 'Leith' yesterday about these and was told it was an error on the website and these are not part of the promotion.

The link they sent me to show there was no promotion was this

https://www.harveynorman.com.au/bose-noise-cancelling-headph… As you can see, it's a direct link to the silver one.

I sent them your link which supposedly opened their eyes. They then said they will do the discount if i wanted one. I said yes but after at least 10 minutes of silence, he came back to me and said 'Nope, we can't do it… Can we help you with anything else today?' I said nah, bye.

      • Yeah clicking on the link I got doesn't have the EXTRA15 promotion attached to it any more

  • Has anyone here tried the Bolle and Raven BT adapter for the QC15's? Trying to calculate if I could buy less "stuff" for the same result.

    • +1

I have actually. I still use my qc15 acquired 10 years ago with this adapter. It’s annoying that you need to turn on two things (headset & adapter) but it works fine.

I bought the adapter 5 years ago, still going strong (I don’t remember having paid $80 though. Seems excessive)

      • Yeah thanks. They are currently "on sale" from their web site for $50USD but they don't ship here. I'll have a hunt around. Thanks for the reply.

  • yeah I paid 330 from HN last week so gutted…..

    • If the price dropped within a few days since you made a purchase, check if you can do price protection via your credit card.
However, seeing the price difference is only about $40, it may not be eligible.
I bought a washing machine a few weeks back and was able to claim the $200 price difference refund from my CBA card.

      • Which card is it?

        • Master Card Diamond Awards

  • Thank you! We love these headphones and thanks to this post I grabbed one pair from HN for my father and felt dirty before I read comments and realised I could get them elsewhere, so I ordered another set from TGG for sons birthday soon. Had to get them post posted but TGG was 5c more expensive than HN lol. Worth it!

  • Never received a confirmation email?!

  • Has anyone else received an email from HN saying Your order is currently delayed. You’ll receive an update as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience?

    • When did you buy? Just then?

      • Bought Qc45 headphones last night

    • No i actually got an email confirmation this afternoon (4 hours after ordering) that it has actually been shipped and in transit.

  • What's the difference between these and the 25s?

    • +1

      20

      • 🤣🤣🤣

      • damn your wit is unmatchable

  • Already have an XM4, don’t know if I should consider this? I have heard it’s more comfortable but not sure if worth the upgrade

    • Do you feel warm ears after using it for some time, i do have xm4 and ears become hot, i may buy this one

      • Yup I feel the same too. The pads get pretty warm and uncomfortable after awhile

    • YMMV, sound is better on XM4s but the comfort on QC45s are better for me.

      • Yeah from what I have read the bass is definitely good on xm4 but comfort wise qc seems to take the cake

        • Yeah, that’s what I experienced with XM4s, it gets sweaty after awhile that you’ll feel uncomfortable with it that you need to take it off

  • +1

    had price matching in JBHIFi
