  Bought this like 4 months ago… really poweful.. only issue it has no top carry handle… carry handle is under where the hose connects to the vac… meaning when you carry it with one hand, the vac is vertical.. and the hand grip is short and smooth so gotta be abit careful not to drop it or it to slip from your fingera haha.. other than that.. for $50 its probably worth it if you can get over that.

      Oh well $100 its probably worth it.. just be prepared your fingers get tired on one hand if carrying it around.. so if you got weak fingers or have arthritis this probably aint for you

    Yeah its a really weird carry design lol if they just put a proper carry handle itd be awesome. That my only gripe for a cheap vac. But yeah it does a geat job at vaccing… just gotta clean filter offen also or it clogs up and doesn't suck properly

        I purchased this same one and its absolutely rubbish, picks up surface fluff, but that is absolutely it, not worth even $50.

          @BatmanAU: Mine is still going strong after 3 years. Easy to clean and maintain as well. Not sure whats wrong with yours.

    The cyclonic filtration on the Kmart ones are crap. At least half the fine materials goes through to the primary filter, which means it needs washing every or every second time.

      Not the single large ones, those are crap. The ones which have multi cyclones, they are always the best ones. You have to open them up in store to actually check.

        The kmart description says “Multi cyclonic”.

        So if i open the box ,what do i need to check to be certain im getting the right one?

          @dclee12: Some are fakes. You need to see multiple holes on the top, underneath the black/white foam filters. You can see it in one of the kmart pictures. I've inspected some of them in store:

          The fake one, from the outside casing looks like it has the system but when you open it up there is only just one big cyclone and no smaller cyclones in sight.

            @mrvaluepack: The one you are saying is really multi cyclonic doesn't have a HEPA filter. Grrrr

            Are you able to post a picture of the inside part of the true multi cyclonic?

            @mrvaluepack: Why do they have so many similar looking models? Feels dodgy when they're also lying on the tech specs. Are the claims of having HEPA filtration also wrong?

            While normally I'd be happy to buy Kmart branded products, I'm not sure it'd be that wise when you can get one from a brand with decent rep and no complaints.

              @Grazz989: Yeah, a bit dodgy i must say or either ignorance on their part on not knowing what a multi stage cyclonic filtration looks like inside. HEPA filters are very easy to implement but whether the unit is a sealed unit like some dyson and shark vacuums, that is more important than a HEPA imho.

  I've owned this for probably 5 years, never missed a beat good unit. I use it to vacuum around the fire so it cops wood chips, ash, bird seed and food from a cockatoo etc so it's not had an easy life.
