Hey everyone. I’m with Tithely. We did not submit this deal to OzBargain. It was submitted here without our consent. While we love the enthusiasm for wanting to get free swag, we unfortunately cannot fulfill these orders. You all submitted over 8000 orders totaling nearly a million dollars US.

All orders have been cancelled and if you spent real money I assure you it will be refunded, just give us time to sort through all these orders.

We originally posted this offer on the new social network Threads, where we currently only have 50 followers. This was never meant to receive this kind of audience. There’s just no way we can fulfill these orders.

Please be kind and do not submit reviews on Trustpilot regarding this. We are not a merchandise company. This is our corporate swag store. One star reviews because you are upset your order was cancelled don’t have anything to do with our business, but will cause us harm. I appreciate your understanding!

If you’re stupid enough to share an unrestricted promo like this on the internet I have some doubts about how you run the rest of your business

But you came and explained yourself, so for that you can have an extra star

      • -1

I have some doubts about how you run the rest of your business

Justin is the Director of Marketing lol

      • -25

Try to do something nice for people on a new network, and someone abuses it by posting it on a deal site we had never even heard of. Good marketing is about taking risks. Luckily these orders could be cancelled. We are sorry for the inconvenience to everyone, but that was never our intention.

        • +1

@justinjdean How much did refunding cost ya all up roughly in CC/ processing fee, extra labour time etc ?

minus - the money made from order/Account details (which probably still exists, and ofcourse you cannot delete it because you need to keep it as business records)

          • +12

@USER DC: We will delete all order details and personal information. Any orders that paid with real money have been refunded. So we made no profit on this and will keep no data, and was never our intention to profit or collect data, as we did not post this here.

          Let's not forget mate…

Tithe.ly provides the best online tools to help you increase generosity

        • +6

Mate c'mon, it's the Internet. If you are actually a digital marketer you should know to always cater for unintentional usage. For a limited group it's standard practice to provide a capped use coupon or unique codes.

    • Completely understandable. Is there anything you can do for your existing loyal Threads followers as a result of this drama? Maybe a new promo set for a certain limit of loyal followers? @justinjdean

      • +4

Is there anything you can do for your existing loyal Threads followers as a result of this drama?

        Free condoms lol

Oh wait, you have $300 worth

        • +1

I’ve never bought a condom in my life 😂😂 they’ve all been free on OzB from price errors or promotions

    • +3

What will happen to our details?

      • +5

See you on the dark web.
        Highest bidder wins 8000 identities

      • +20

We will delete all order details and all personal information from these orders. It was never our intent to collect anything, as we did not submit this deal here.

        • +13

chipping in to say I like how clear you are about deleting personal information both in comments here and in the email you sent, I really appreciate that aspect.

          • +1

@slimpickings: The fact you emailed them (or we all commenting here) is only creating more data (aka more data that they WONT delete)

Whatever he says, simple fact is whatever they want to do or not they just cannot delete all information, especially those having paid legit money to them, Paypal, CC etc like all financial transactions details, just cannot be erased. Not in 5 eyes group at least for such company.

If you need simplest proof - Are you able to login to same account with same details ??

            • +6

@USER DC: He's stated an intent to do so, which is more than most companies do in this position. They deserve time to delete it before we pass judgement.

If you're concerned about 5 eyes countries tracking your shopping habits, I would suggest not posting about it from an ozbargain account with a posting/commenting history.

        • +1

My order was canceled, I was NOT sent an email and my FAKE info still there and NOT deleted!

    • -5

You all submitted over 8000 orders totaling nearly a million dollars US.

1 million is nothing for you guys when your revenue is in the hundreds of millions. Consider it free advertising (cost of one advert during the superbowl)

      • +10

1 million is a lot to anyone.

        • +1

Just a tad less than your annual salary and bonuses

          • +44

@easternculture: If my annual salary was a million bucks I wouldn't be spending my time responding to comments on a bargain site.

            • -8

@justinjdean: This is confusing to me. You are doing the Lord’s work. Why has Jesus not blessed you with riches to share with all? “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” - 2 Corinthians 9:8

      • -8

poor form bitching and moaning….you knew what you were getting into

        • +5

          We didn’t post it here.

          • +4

@justinjdean: not you….the user that made muliple orders and tried to exploit your site

    • You should atleast honor orders for people who spent money.

      • +3

We will refund anyone who spent real money.

    • +28

      Honestly, that's fair.

You'll get a bunch of sour grapes on here moaning about it but lets hope we're all mature enough to not go on a rating website to ruin a business because they didn't get the freebie they were hoping to get.

Hopefully your actual followers get their freebies and good luck with promo in the future, at least now you know you'll need to restrict it.

    • what was the budget and why wont you honour any at all?

    • +3

I’ve yet to receive a cancellation email. I guess that means I’m receiving my order. Thank you lord 🙏🙏

      • +1

        PRAISE CHRIST!

      • +3

Click on view your order, It will say cancelled. I never got an email either.

    • -3

Should people cheat God? Yet you have cheated me! “But you ask, ‘What do you mean? When did we ever cheat you?’ “You have cheated me of the tithes and offerings due to me. You are under a curse, for your whole nation has been cheating me. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” - Malachi 3:8-10, telling you to send people their free hoodies

    • Rookie mistake my dude

    • +9

Ok I'll only do one order

    • +6

I actually agree in sentiment even though I made an order. Will definitely not be mad if it gets cancelled. Don't know who approved this lol

    • +1

If we were abusing a bug or something, like they forgot to limit it, or it was only for clients or something…but…they just seem to be like "sure, take it!"?

    • +1

Jesus said "Love your neighbour as yourself", and I would want my neighbour to have free stuff too.

The bible also says "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever", and I plan on giving one of the jackets to a relative. Not ordering the jackets would make me worse than an atheist, which according to old mate Timothy is a bad thing.

    • +6

According to a quick google search this small business is worth about US$120M as of 2019 with yearly revenue above US$10M. Also I'm not sure you can really classify a software company as 'charitable' just because they offer essentially a demo of their software to churches. They take at least 3% of every transaction and will happily sell every church a number of subscription based software features of up to around US$200 a month.

    • +1

They're basically a rev share company, waste no pity on them

    • these are the deals that bring out the the real community spirit!

    • Got the packable jacket, nice for when I'm traveling :)

  • This could be a bargain for the ages. If you like branded gear for a US charity.

    What were they thinking.

  • +5

Fully expect this to get cancelled but placed an order anyway. Let’s see how it goes.

    • We all did the same.

I also expect it to be cancelled.

  • +5

    Blimey that felt dirty ordering.

Also why the hell is a Christian charity giving away free stuff for a Twitter-clone launch? Seems crazy odd.

      • Oh. I assumed they were like paetron, but focusing on churches? As in the donations went to the church?

But yeah could be a rebranding…

        • Well they are called "Tithe.ly".

  • +2
