Anyone know if they support Apple watch cellular connectivity?

  • I need a new plan but would rather be on the Telstra network…
However, this is a pretty good deal - do I jump on?

    • As long as you live in a big city.

    • Nope, buy a cheap Boost 12 month plan on eBay instead and enjoy the better service.

Keep an eye out on the woolies plan. They go on special for around the same price, are on Telstra and you get 10% off 1 shop a month.

Took 9 days to port my number from Boost to Coles, the Coles mobile contact staff were thoroughly useless from start to finish.

After the 3rd business day of no cut-over and no information given to me from Coles I couldn't be without my phone any longer so was forced to play Russian roulette with a Boost recharge. Will my phone cut over today, tomorrow, next week and how much of my recharge will I lose in the process.

Service in my area compared to Boost is not very good, I'll be glad when the month is up so I can move back again to Boost, have already got a cheap 12 month sim ready to go.

To be fair, porting delays are most often the incumbents not the gaining telco.
I have had good Coles experience as have some friends with 30 minutes port.

    • The problem according to what Coles told me was on the Coles side (their words, that's what they told me), ironically that was the only information they were able to actually tell me.

Having a number in limbo sucks and Coles told me categorically that I couldn't cancel the port without fear of losing the number.

Glad you had a good experience with Coles, I guess the proof is in the pudding though when a problem like this does arise. I'm not naive enough to think Optus are faultless but having to rely on Coles when it was probably out of their hands just added another layer of bullshit a customer really shouldn't' have to deal with.

  • Can I use a optus locked 4g usb wifi dongle with coles sim?

  • How do I take advantage of this if I am already on Coles Mobile plan due to expire next month?

    • You need to port out to another provider then come back as a new customer. The deal ends 01/08.

    • You can try the catch connect 120GB $109. Same Optus network.

      • Thanks, I would have gone with Catch connect but I need international calls too
