Essano Shampoo and Conditioner 850ml $5 (RRP $30) @ The Reject Shop (in Store Only)

260

Found this in store in Burleigh Heads, QLD. These were $30 full price at Woolies or $15 when half price. I normally use the Purple Shampoo in this brand and find it really good but expensive, so $5 is great.

Sorry there was no price on shelf - had to ask at counter, but there were about 50 in stock. I imagine it would be the same price in any store where available. I think it’s changed to different packaging hence being cleared.

It’s not on their website so have a look in your local store.

  • if it's that cheap why would you only get one.
Also which store is it so I can go and clean it out, 50 should be enough to last a year

I haven’t tried that particular variant before so went conservative. I also alternate between purple shampoo and regular to keep my highlighted hair toned so need less regular. I don’t mind sharing a deal before it sells out.

        Awesome response.

Got a bunch of Dove shampoo and conditioner yesterday through that Coles deal otherwise would have got a few each.

    • I am still confused by your comment 🤔

      It's a fairly old brand.
When it started we still had lots of manufacturing in Australia and if a factory made 1000's of plates with slightly incorrect glaze etc, they sold them cheap to the Reject shop, who sold them cheap to customers. So back in the day they were literally manufacturing 'rejects' that were still perfectly OK.
Obviously their range has changed considerably but that is how it started

    Very ordinary shampoo

  • I bought this shampoo and conditioner once and it was crap… used it once and never again. Might be okay for short men's hair, but wouldn't recommend it if you have long hair.

I have long hair and have used Essano. Because it doesn’t have silicones it doesn’t have that really easy comb out effect with the conditioner. I like that it’s SLS free as I tend to get really oily with SLS. The purple shampoo in the range is truely amazing, it tones, but doesn’t over tone. I probably rate the shampoo over the conditioner but thought I’d try these variants to see. Also the fragrances are really mild which I prefer.

Thanks I'll see if our store on the gold coast, that's a bit closer, has it.

  • Great scent for a few of the essano products - these may be similar. Musk stick-like, OP?

Yes, generally very nice scents. There was a mint one in got for free as a flybuys sample that I wasn’t too keen on, but the rest are very nice, very subtle and natural which is important to me.

  • the hydrating one can be dry and the micellar is good but not sold in 1-tonne buckets like the dry hydration one.
