Can I use this with my iPad Pro for data only?

    • +1

Assuming apple tablets are the same as andriod, no reason you cant.

    • Boost is better because you make money while at it? Don’t even need to port, just activate a new one when needed.

    • Yes

  • sigh, I just bought their $99 one.

    • +1

did the same few months back
60gb gone very quick ha ha

      • Then we get an excuse to buy this one. haha

  • If I already have their $99 deal, which expires in January, will this $119 deal be added as an additional year from when my current one ends?

    • +1

That works with Lebara, Amaysim doesn't seem to have stacking. This is probably a new customer deal unless anyone knows otherwise.

    • +3

Port out and back in. This doesn’t have an expiry, unlike cashback offers you have to activate by a certain date.

  • +1

What was the best deal ever on this?

    • +3

Don't know about best deal ever but they had 180GB 1-Year for $100 back in May.

      • +1

Yep got that deal applied to my existing account and will go on it in the next few weeks (current plan -this current deal from last year actually- ends in Aug)

        • Does it keep the accumulated data ?

          • @JakDac: No, thats why I opted to take up the offer later than right then and there. I have less than a month left now and about 5gb to go so I should run out of data just before the old plan expires

    • With international calls, this is about as good as it gets. If you don’t care for that, Good Friday deals usually is the best because they usually stacked with cashback too.

      • +2

        Good is the new Black

      • what is better without int calls?

        • Definitely Good Friday deals. $60 would get you something really naoice for a year. Search for it on this site.

  • What are the 28 countries? After buying, when do we need to activate? Thanks!

  • looks really good, can I ask what is the 'shelf life" ?
mine about ran out in couple of months, Thanks.

    • Would usually say 2 years, but in the off chance that happens you can always call up and ask for help. With eSim there should not have one tho.

      • One year after purchase as per T&C on the back of the coupon.
I bought one last time it was on sale.

  • +1

Is there an expiry for activation?

    • Should be safe within two years of purchase.

  • similar deal with coles mobile

    amaysim vs coles mobile

    • +1

same network but amaysim should have better customer service and possibly smoother porting

    • Don't go for Coles Mobile. 15+ years of pre-paid and this is the second instance, I have a patchy network connection all around Sydney (the first was Virgin Mobile around the year 2009). Will not go back to them irrespective of how good the Coles Mobile deal is..

    • So Coles has the same deal, …just ask for Amaysim 1 year one? $119?

      • Coles mobile vs Amaysim mobile.

  • Great offer, but I already have a plan with Boost right now. Wondering if I can activate this service in say 6-12 months?

    • that's far too long
      why would you do that
offers rolling all along the year !!

    • +1

I’d buy this one to use within 6 months. 12 months is a bit too far. Amaysim hasn’t had a lot of good ones with international calls, I’ve been tracking. Woolworths has no international calls currently, so it’s this or Coles. Coles didn’t have eSim last time I was with them. Alternatively, go back to sim slutting monthly. Most prepaid starter packs has dropped to around $10 now, compared to $15-20 a few years back.

    • You have one year from date of purchase. Read the back of coupon when you are at woollies.
Issue is to find one at your local woollies.
Last time it was for sale I had to go to 3 woollies to find one.

  • Does it have Voice of Wifi?

    • No idea.

    • Yes it does.. VoLTE too.

  • Kinda hoping for a good deal on a Woolworths sim to get the cheap shopping and the Telstra network…
But I need it by Wednesday - and I don't need lots of data - still have about half the data from my Boost 60GB pack which is expiring.

    • +2

Top cashback had a deal running for Woolies last I checked.

Woolies don’t have international calls though. Could get it for a month to buy this for the 10% off and port over…

  • So existing amaysim customers need to port out first before activating it?

    • I think so. Unless you use a different number.

  • Can data be taken monthly?

    • Don’t think so. Use a second sim for data. Haven’t seen much of kogan mobile deals lately, that was my go-to for $1.

  • +1

If I buy this starter kit how do I convert to eSim?

    • On the app you can go for Replace SIM and then click on I Want a Replacement eSIM. Should go through pretty quickly

  • -1

120gb for the whole entire year or 120/ month?

    • lol. The whole year.

  • +2

Extra 10% off using Woolworths Reward monthly shop discount?

    • +3

Yes that works, I just used it at self serve and no problems! $107.10 for the $119 SIM :)

  • I am currently on Optus Monthly plan, How to port to this plan as Amaysim also uses Optus?

    • Porting should be the usual process. They're two different companies. Amaysim uses the Optus network, not Optus itself.

  • I'm already with Amaysim. To keep my number, how long do I need to port out for and back in to be eligible for this plan?

    • It used to be instant, then some telcos started to push for 30 days of not being their customers, but some of those were for cashback purposes and postpaid plans. It should be good instantaneous, but allow for the possibility of 30 days.

  • deal goes to a blank page for me

    • Same here

      • Try look up on the Woolies website or the catalog under media. Might be a location thing.

    • I suspect the link was to the sale price before the catalog was released, which meant the catalog at the time would have been upcoming, so the link has now moved. I bought two of these in-store tonight no issues. Used my 10% off one shop per month from a Woolworths mobile sim to bring the price down further, but I'll be ditching that Woolies sim to activate this one.

  • as far as I am aware this deal is only available in the store

    • Yes, it’s a special Woolies plan.

  • +3

Not a bad deal however there have been better ones. I picked up an Amaysim SIM for my mum last year during Black Friday. 180GB /365 days for $80 using the $20 cash back from CR.

I still ended up buying this from woolies today as my SIM is about to run out in the next month. Had to check with the front counter as it was still listed as $149 on the shelf. Also got the 1000 extra Everyday points.

    • +1

      180GB/365 - $80 - what a great deal !

      • Missed out! I didn't even know there is a amaysim deal on BlackFriday… :(

  • Sorry for the noob question. I'm currently using Amasyim and it's about to expire. I see people mentioning porting out. How does one do this so to get the benefit of this deal? Thank you

    • Say you are with telco E, when you port your number to another telco X, you are no longer a customer of telco E. You can then port back to telco E pretending it is the first time you ever heard of them. It's a morally grey area and came about because companies started rewarding disloyalty by only promoting starter packs, not recharge credits.

Some telcos require 30 days in-between for customers to be recognised as 'new', so it's wise to allow for that possibility when going down this route.

      • I see thank you for the info. Do you know what telcos requires 30 days before being recognised as new?

        • Off the top of my head, it’s related to Telstra deals that were exclusive to jbhifi or the good guys. Back when the early termination fees were nonexistent or negligible, a lot of people took advantage by porting out and back in, and occasionally someone would hit a block and report back here about what it means to be a new customer. I vaguely recall there was something to do with amaysim as well, but it was related to cashback conditions. Can’t really recall anything specifically related to prepaid sims.

It’s not a huge issue since colesworths rotates different starter packs that are on sale each week, you can easily buy an Optus one on a Tuesday and a Vodafone one on Wednesday and decide which one you would use first and let it run the course. There are so many in fact, it would take months to go through a full cycle.

  • Trying to use the offer for 4500 points - not sure if this will be included as a "recharge" Can some clarify?

Anyone know whether you can receive sms without additional paid roaming pack while overseas on amaysim. Thanks

    • +1

If roaming is activated (in settings), and you're connected to a network

      Receiving sms is free,
      Receiving calls will cost you,
      Anything outbound will cost
And non wifi data will cost you

Don't add a "roaming pack' (unless you want it), instead turn on international roaming in settings.

  • Not available in store in Blackburn

  • Is this instore only?

    • Yes. Chances are you have missed it already. It will come back if you are patient enough :)

  • Still available in store, and can stack with monthly 10% extra discount

    • Thanks for the update. Can’t see it in the catalogue at all though.

  • not valid deal anymore, I have check in Woolies and online both, it is nothing like this
    please mark it as Expired

    • +1

Thanks, done. Although your comment contradicts with supervvvvv above.

      • +2

Thanks for your post again, I used 10% discount + $10 rewards so paid only $97+1000 points.

    • +1

Just bought one this afternoon. It's IN STORE only, and not every store has it but managed to find one today.

  • +1

    Thanks Op .
