    Midnight 128GB $1197

    "After midnight…
We're gonna let it all hang out…"

    • Lol

  • Now it’s Harvey Norman and Good guys turn to jump onboard in price beat war

  • I reckoned these prices will definitely gonna tank further when the 15 comes out, not far to go..

      when the 15 comes out

I've heard rumours that the calculator app has been updated.

      • +1

You heard wrong! 100% the non pro version will not have high refresh rate on their screens but will still cost an arm and a leg.

I don't get why people still go for these iPhones and please don't tell me because they are too invested into the eco-system yet they have not bought a single app. -_-

will not have high refresh rate on their screens

So what, I'll just have to slow down the number of comments I post by 0.005 seconds.

I don't get why people still go for these iPhones

          Because the UI is better.

@jv: Yeh that makes sense, but better than what?

            • @itsmoe:

              but better than what?

              better than the rest…

              • @jv: Is that a fact or just an opinion?

                • @itsmoe: both

                  • +3

@jv: I like that. I would love to disagree, but not with that logic.

        • More OS updates and most Apple users are upgrading less frequent than before. A lot of movies and videos are still 24 to 30fps. Cheap Android phones are not great for gaming anyway.

Apple silicon bases Macs are pretty good. Android's Nearby Share to Windows devices require a bit of setup initially. For features Apple currently don't offer to iPhones, Android don't actually improve (i.e. USB-C 3.2 gen 1 / alt-mode being DP 1.2 for years for flagship phones).

50%+ of smartphones in Australia are iPhones and apps/games revenue is higher on iOS. I buy iOS and Android apps and games and I certainly buy more apps and games on iOS so far. It's not just about screen refresh rate. It doesn't feel good Qualcomm tried to cheap out and go for cheaper CPU manufacturing process.

          • @netsurfer: 90% of the people who buy iphones don't buy them for any of the reasons you mentioned above. I would rather have a higher refresh rate screen than better connectivity to my computer especially that with Android you can just use your phone as portable storage.

Who plays games on their phone? Sure, I play the occasional silly candy crush like games every now and again and for those, most phones are more than capable to handle them with easy.

You can get a Poco phone for less than half the price of an iPhone (Basic model) and still get a lot more for the money even if you have to upgrade every year, you are still saving money.

            Just my 2c.

  • Nothing on Pro :(

The cartel shows its true colours, yet again.

If they don't already, Wesfarmers (Officeworks) will work out how obtain enough kick-back from Gerry and Maq Bank to cover the extra 5% given to the peasants each time they clear the cost-sensitive buyers out of the market.

  • Apple iphone 14 all colors $1199, iphone 14+ $1397 at TGG, plus earn $40 StoreCash if you have received "Spend $400 or more and Earn $40 " email or SMS.

  • HODL!

    • HODL for Pro/Pro Max

    • won't the new ones be $2500+? or do you mean these phones will get even cheaper when the new models come out?

      • The new ones should be similar prices to the 14 now, possibly a slight bump but the old ones will be much cheaper, two hundred dollar price cuts cascading down the line to the final iPhone 11s selling for possibly in the 500s

  • I'm still rocking an iPhone 8 plus, put a new battery in it a year ago, still running strong.
Just wondering if the 14 would be a worthy upgrade? Also do you think that it'll get cheaper than this ($1197) once the iPhone 15 or whatever releases, I'm assuming in Sept.?

  • Tried to price match with Apple.
They will only take off 10% from the recommended price of $1399
