  • if you can use Woolworths' egift card, 5% off, the Woolworth will be cheapest? The question is the quality, and how long it last.

    • +2

At this price if it survives one long haul round trip it’s probably worth it 😂

      • +1

Yeah but not sure if it's cheap enough to cover the trepidation of (thinking of) using it on the second trip.

    • hmm just found out they got this on eBay too https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374480527578 (need to use eBay voucher, on website and can stack with eBay giftcards)
they got a cheaper material I believe there too that makes it around $10 cheaper further ?

  • +2

Reviews say wheels come off the first use??

Anyone actually used these before? I get it its cheap but if its that low quality its just a waste of money

    • Landfill?

    • +2

Yep, ours broke a wheel after one trip.

  • Plus delivery fee

      • $8.28 delivery fee bro. I would say it depends on the address determined by the seller.

  • +5

No one’s saying get a rimowa but also no use getting something if it’s gonna break after one use.

    beware of quality

I've found American Tourister to be a sweet spot in terms of price/quality.

    • Owned by samsonite.

      • Yeah but cheaper

  • I'm not sure if I'm reading it incorrectly but camelcamelcamel says this is the normal price?

  • Bought same ones(ovela brand), used them for 2 overseas trips. So far no issues

    • Ovela is KGN private lavel brand

  • +2

Not sure why anyone would ever buy luggage that's not Samsonite, Antler or American Tourister.

    • +1

You have a point there, we have antler suitcases that have lasted us for 15+ years of travel from before we had kids to now teens… In saying that might be because some may not have the funds for $200-400 per piece suitcases… But if these break after single use I don't see the value vs brands that can last a life time

P.S we travel a few times a year … Well did up until covid.

      • +1

Also the anxiety and hassle of luggage breaking down mid trip with cheap luggage. Been there, done that, never again.

    • +1

15+ trips on my American Tourister Applite set and plenty of life in the still.

  • +5

not worth, had these. Landfill. Pls do not buy!

    My personal review.

DONT do it! Hard pass! You will thank me later

  • Where is the top 3 best places to shop for luggage please?
The big brands, that are light. Given that intl flights baggage is expensive, I need light bags. WIll wait for a good deal, need 2 x big ones.

    • Strandbags dfo is my BAU place if ozbargain doesnt have a deal

    • I got a great deal on Amazon on prime day. Previously strandbags ebay has had some good deals, not sure if they still have an ebay store.

These Eaglemate luggages seems good among ebay/amazon generic brands.
Polycarbonate shell with 15 years warranty.

Never tried wanderlite brand, but my Kogan Orbis last for 10 years of abuse (travel around 2x international + 2x domestic annually)

  • +1

There are alot of people thinking its fine if it only last a couple of trips etc are completely forgetting the major problems if/when something goes wrong mid travel as in either it breaks open etc and you lose things while it is being loaded / unloaded off planes or when you are travelling through airports / city roads and wheels fall off.

  • Costco has good brands suit cases available at any time.

  • +1

I have had a few wanderlite ones, which never let me down, these have been to many countries with me. BTW find them on ebay. normally 3 pack is under $200 and can them them even cheaper on ebay sales
