The non-cold press machines heat up the fruit as it processes them (think of fast metal blades spinning), where as this type doesn't as it is basically just chewing it.
How much heat are home juicers creating with spinning blades?
I doubt you would be able to measure the difference
If you run a nutribullet for a minute the base gets a fair bit of heat in it.

I guess if you want fruit in and juice out, then why not. (If you don't mind prepping and cleaning time). Otherwise, save up a little more for a known brand for cold press.
