You can get it for almost the same price from apple unimelb education store https://www.apple.com/au_edu_800611/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro…, combine that with 20x flybuys points for almost $370 added to your flybuys account, which would be much cheaper than the deal you posted

ah yes the widely available unimelb education discount

      • I mean… most people on here consider apple edu stores widely available since there are no student verification checks in place and most regular people here buy them from there anyway (Tax loophole for apple to leave it open I presume)

It is widely available, there are no checks in place to verify student identity, I have been ordering my products from this store since almost 6 years

Wonder when people will stop feeling the need to make this joke on ever deal that's over $100.

Wonder when people will start posting deals, instead of posting salty comments haiyaaa

Unrelated, but every time I see that thumbnail picture, I think it looks like it's got a smashed LCD screen.

  • paid only slightly more for a 4tb/64gb spec from the recent mobileciti deal however the m1 pro instead of m2

    • m1 better than m2

      • what really? that would be surprising. I didn't really check as i don't even need a quarter of it's power i just know its a reliable machine for the next 7 years min

        • Yeah there's a lot of review outlining it.

          • @nightelves: cheers thank you ill look into that on YT : )

          • +1

@nightelves: Can you link some of those reviews?

The M2 has slight performance and efficiency improvements over the M1. It might not be worth the extra cost over M1 but M2 certainly isn't worse than M1.
