Please don't worry about purchasing the Pixel 7 Pro. Just bought mine the other day and was transferring all my data and pics across from my old phone, and the pixel started overheating! Imagine if you were streaming movies or playing games for more than 18 minutes! 18 Minutes was how long it took me to set up and transfer phone data to a new phone. Go search on overheating on pixel 7, and you will see tonnes of results!
Mine has never overheated and I'm a heavy user. You may have defective device. It happens.

Good , phone great camera just can't get past the size no so much the screen but this thing with a case on is one chunky mfer. I've since sold mine

One of them is really good, the other one is very very slippery that they refunded me so I'm not sure which one will rock up when you order.

I got Oppo X5 pro and compared it with all the flagships and it beats by a good margin. All the reviews online are fake. Time to ditch major brands.

Almost identical if not beating on all occasions. At times it was beating 7 pro. I was shocked tbh.
You get stuck with no updates though, right?
I am on Android 13. Which is enough with July security updates. Software overall isn't much to be desired of but with AI inbuilt out does few good things out of box.
I prefer Pure google UI and fast rollout of updates. Oppo probably alright for a cheap phone and better than they used to be these days.
