[VIC] 2x Weekday Bathhouse Entries: "Recharge" for $35, "Revitalise" for $70 @ Peninsula Hot Springs (First 400 Bookings Only)

260
sharethewarmth23

Peninsula Hot Springs on the Mornington Peninsula are offering the same offer as last year, by encouraging people to bring a friend along to the Hot Springs who may be experiencing mental hardship so they can "share the warmth" so they are offering 2x “Recharge” Bath House Entries for $35 or 2x "Revitalise" Bath House Entries for $70 on Weekdays between August 1 and September 15 for the first 400 bookings which enter the promo code "sharethewarmth23" when booking.

For those who aren’t aware, “Recharge” give you 60 minutes of time inside the springs whereas “Revitalise” is unlimited time.

There is nothing in the T&C's which states the need to declare if any guests have a mental health condition so it's effectively open to anyone. At this price I can say as a previous visitor that it's great value, but keep in mind that Lockers, Robes and Towels are an extra charge.

  • heard they are normally over crowded ?

    • They normally are on weekends as you always have to pre-book a few days in advance but weekdays have much more availability.

    • They're very busy at peak times (weekends, holidays etc). You'll get a spot in some pools and not in others.

Just bring along a Polly Waffle. Problem solved…

OzBargain hack: Buy the 1hr, stay as long as you like. You wear an hourly rubber band of different colour but it has no chip in it so no one has a way of checking when you entered. Just don't get cocky and stay chill.

    • "stay chill"

Pretty hard to do considering it's a hot spring, isn't it

  • +1

How is this place if you're mildly germphobic? Probably worth avoiding?

    • +3

Did not seem dirty to me but it is mostly outdoors, lots of people, hot water…
Changing rooms are shared with closeable shower cubicles.
There are a few indoor rooms like saunas and cold rooms but all the pool are outside. Not sure how they chsnge thecwater but the pools constantly push fredh water in so I would assume it is constantly filtered.
Unless it is on a very quiet day you are unlikely to be in a pool alone.

Thanks so much for the detailed run down of what to expect, I really appreciate it.

Was checking the website for how they clean the water and found the following on their FAQ for anyone else curious:
We take the hygiene of our pools very seriously. Each night when we close, our pools are completely drained and thoroughly cleaned by our experienced pools team, ready to be refilled each morning with fresh natural geothermal mineral water from an underground reservoir 637 metres below the surface. As the water reaches the pools, the water is at a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius. Throughout the day, fresh thermal mineral water flows constantly into the pools to maintain warmth and cleanliness.
Just as we have a team caring for you, we also have a dedicated pool team caring for our water. Our team are constantly monitoring the water to keep record of its condition. You may see Pool Attendants taking readings of each pool during your visit.

hot spring in OZ is way too overpriced, We paid $15-25 NZD (no time limits) for different hot springs including mud bath in Rotorua last month

    • Yep Rotorua is GOod if you can bear the volcanic smell in town..

    • +4

Everything in OZ is over priced. Nothing is cheaper in Aus compared to the rest of the world.

      • +1

The lower the dollar goes, the cheaper Australia becomes.

Having just come back from New York, I'm finding things very cheap back here

This is why we need ozbarjane…

  • Alba is a lot nicer

    • I want to try Alba but it's more expensive. $110 on a weekend before 6pm! I was hoping that Alba would provide decent competition to PHS but they have instead gone "bugger that, we want to be more premium!"

I was lucky I got the two for one deal earlier this year
You'd think they would be trying to make their investment back asap haha

  • I’m not in VIC (nor do I do meetups) but why has no one suggested this deal for an OzB meetup yet.

    • +3

personally, I think it's cause this is more of a 'take a loved one' not 'meet a stranger' location

      • +4

One could suggest strangers are simply friends that we have yet to meet.

  • +1

I think they've been all used up now. been trying to do a Thursday night and Friday morning. No luck

    • worked for me just now. maybe the dates you chose weren't right.

      • damn good stuff. alright, I'll try again. I tried putting one adult for 24,25/08

        • +1

Ahhh then it might have to do with only being 1 adult since the deal is about sharing the warmth with someone else. So maybe needs 2 adults.

      • oh cheers dude it works now

  • We were there last month. Real nice setup and found it clean and modern. Do recommend taking a day off and going there.

  • If you're going to go this month they're also doing outdoor movies - experience is complimentary with Bath House bathing.

Just sharing in case anyone has trouble with the promo code, try manually typing it in or once you copy paste, delete one character (3) and type it in again. There's just something wrong with the website's ability to capture copy pasted text.

    • +1

This is by no means unique to their site, copying and pasting codes is commonly a pain in the ass 😁

  • +1

Couldn't update my comment, but called and got the booking through the phone (no extra charge to do it over the phone).

  • Tried to book this morning and code wouldn’t work. Spoke to live chat and they said promotion is over.

    • +1

Actually I take it back. After emailing, apparently there was a system glitch and it’s back! Just made a successful booking with the voucher code.

  • +1

Confirming code still works at 7pm today. Just booked :)
    Thanks OP!

  • Have just tried at 7.13PM today and getting an "Invalid discount code (attempt 1)" error when applying the code with 2 people.

    • Try typing the code instead of copying and pasting. If this doesn’t fix the problem the offer may be over.

      • +1

Forgot to reply, but this worked! Have to type out the promo code instead of copy and paste
