[Afterpay] Motorola Edge 40 5G (Dual Sim, 256GB/8GB, 6.55'') $577.99 Delivered @ Mobileciti_estore eBay

200
APAYDAY4

Have been waiting for this newer model phone to drop in price in some flash JB HiFi sale or something, but it never happened and now my Poco F3's battery has had enough, so I bit the bullet and grabbed one for $577.99. Sure the processer may not be as good as the Edge 30 pro going for $499 at Jb currently, but this newer model supports E-sim and 15w wireless charging, which seems nice.

Lowest price to date on this phone as far as I can see. Could be wrong, but can't find one anywhere else for less. Use the drop down menu to pick which color handset your like.

You'll need to checkout with Afterpay to apply the code.

No idea which color they'll send with this link, assume it's black?

There's a dropdown menu. You have to pick to add to cart.

Decent price if you want one now. They drop pretty hard within a year.

    • Ah, of course! Thanks for pointing that out.

Youre absolutely right. If you don't need it now, wait for it to drop down in price (is that the Ozbargainer way?)

    Double chop for flashlight.

    Double twist for camera.

Simple features but it's a legitimate reason I keep coming back to Motorola.

I said this before and i will say this again. These should be baked into android os.

    • This is what I miss most from previous motorolas . If only their updating was better I would of stayed .

    • I didn't know about the double twist for camera.

      • +1

You can also double tap the back to open any app you want. (Phone unlocked.)

Double sigh for lack of software support !

  • How is the camera quality ? Any slot for sd card ?

    • +2

This model unfortunately doesn't have expandable storage.

Reviews for the camera seem promising, but take that with a pinch of salt, as Motorola are renowned for having fantastic camera hardware, let down by lackluster software.

Sure the processer may not be as good as the Edge 30 pro going for $499 at Jb currently, but this newer model supports E-sim and 15w wireless charging, which seems nice.

Edge 30 Pro also has 15W wireless charging.

    • Good point and well spotted. Perhaps the IP68 water and dust resistance rating of this phone is a better selling point then?

  • Problem with these Moto phones is they don't have Twin/Dual/Clone app function, so you cannot have 2 Facebook, 2 Whatsapp, etc running together.

    • You can do it. Download "Island" from the play store. Should leverage Android's built-in "work mode" which allows you to do this.

      • Native clone function is always better, safer and more reliable than 3rd party clone apps imo.

    • Why would you want to do this. One instance of Facebook is almost too much

  • find it quite interesting that Motorola maintains ~4.5% market share in the USA

  • No esim on this model? https://www.mobileciti.com.au/motorola-edge-40
Motorola site mentions it (eSIM+pSIM), but its Buy Now page has Dual SIM (pSIM+pSIM) version

    • Searching up the Manufacturer Part Number in the listing (PAY40000AU) shows it being Dual Sim (pSIM +eSim). Fingers crossed they send what they list.
