Boost Mobile: $16.00 Cashback ($4.00 Profit) on 50GB 28-Day SIM @ Cashrewards

3680

Hi Guys. We've got a great deal for you from Boost Mobile until 11:59PM (AEST) where we're offering $16.00 cashback ($4.00 profit) on the already discounted $12.00 SIM. The discounted SIM also ends at midnight, so this is your last chance to take advantage of this offer (unless withdrawn prior). Thanks!

Here's the Special Terms for Boost cashback in general:

  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase.
  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.
  • You must return and click through Cashrewards for each new transaction.

Also, here are some great tips that TA always adds to his posts to help with tracking:

For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Use our iOS/Android mobile app for great results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

    • No. That what roaming is for.

  • ORDER COMPLETE
Your order details will be emailed to you shortly.

  • Darn, one order this morning untracked, 2 orders just now first tracked, 2nd didn't.

  • Damn! I'm still getting technical difficulties. Run out of browsers, credit cards and emails to test. Boost support hasn't been exactly helpful either.

    • ya same issue with mine, all failed.. tried lots of cards/emails/browsers..

    • Did you buy more than one? Maybe same issue as me

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/795194

      • I did buy previously but none for the last couple of weeks. Only ever one per promo period.

    • I've noticed people who buy soon after the deals are posted have more troubles. Maybe it's just their servers unable to cope. I always buy late at night and have no problems.

  • Has boost orders been slow to be delivered lately? Usually it's within a few days with startrack but now it's almost a week now with no tracking or news

    • Yup same here. Still waiting for SIM ordered on 16 Aug with no tracking. I'm in Perth too but the recent previous orders arrived within a few days

      • Auspost deliveries always took a week to arrive for me. If they've reverted back to Auspost for deliveries then the 16/08 orders should arrive by the end of the week.

    • Received one today via domestic letter with tracking

  • 9/10 tracked… boooo

    • Do you need to use different personal info to buy ?

      • Different info

        ok now 10/10 tracked

        yay! Free $40

        • Cool! Thank you

      • +6

What? I thought all you needed was different transaction and same info written shouldn't matter?

  • +1

Does boost give a list of numbers to choose, or just assign a number directly?

    • +2

      Assign.

THats why order more and can sometimes find cool numbers!! Ive found 2, one being 0400 number hehe

      • +1

are you gonna sell that number or use it now or just thought it was cool?

        • keep it, maybe hand it down to daughter when she is older ;)

      • +3

It's easy to find the number you like on Amaysim, they give you 10 numbers each time, three of them are premium numbers. If you don't like them you can refresh the list, and also you can enter 1 to 5 digits to pick the best combination.

    • either number on the sim package, or you import your own by porting

  • boost sim packs were delivered within a few days but haven't received anything after 16th. They'd automatically show up in auspost tracking app. Have they stopped doing StarTrack express post or is there some other delay?

    • +1

I prefered the AusPost letters, easier to open and bundle for the postman

      • true, i did find the satchels perfect bin bags for my room and express post is a bit of a waste for most of us

if they've gone back to letters shouldn't be much longer than a couple of days 🙂 just wished they'd notify us when sending like i ordered $2 Telstra SIM yesterday notification just showed up as domestic letter with tracking

        • If I use my Testra/boostID-registered email address when placing an order, then I always get a dispatch email with tracking number. But if I use any other email, I don't get one.

    • They've gone back to the AusPost Domestic Letter with Tracking prepaid envelopes.

    • Me too. I havent got anything since 16th

      • received mine yesterday

  • Thanks OP!

  • How exactly Boost is making money?

    • +1

Selling your details to the dark web!?

    • +3

hoping to retain you as a full paying customer or inflating numbers to please investors?
feels like they will limit amount of cashbacks per user soon as this deal is getting more and more abused

      • They've already told me they have limited

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/795194

        • +1

          Lol

        • -1

I know I said this earlier, but people just reading through the thread now will see this. It's two different deals. That was a limited offer SIM. These aren't limited to one per person.

          • @[Deactivated]: This it the $35 sim starter kit on sale is it not?

Any one can check the terms:

$35 SIM Sale: Online only offer, valid on $35 SIM purchases and for new customers only. SIM includes first recharge; discount does not apply to subsequent recharges. Limit to one promotional item per customer. Offer valid from 9 am 02 Aug 2023 and ends 11.59 pm (AEST) 22 Aug 2023, or when sold out."

    • and maybe 1 in x number of people accidentally has auto recharge on

      • +1

auto recharge if off by default unless they changed this recently

        • yeah I noticed its off now. last time I did it it was on by default.

    • +3

probably by boasting to investors that they got more and more subscribers in their platform ??

  • +3

    Awesome. Thanks OP.
How I get around ordering multiple and avoid the system error is by using a different address, name, phone number, email (using hidemyemail on IOS = infinite email).

How I enter a different address is by selecting the manual option at the bottom of the list (after entering an address)
Then purposely make a small spelling error. Like stt or rooad or streeet
Hope this help those buying multiple.

I had family visiting from oversea and this was amazing. They dont care what number they got. Churn through 1-2 sometime 3 sims during their visit. The biggest Bonus was the free international calling.

I myself bought the 100 sim card from ebay for $30 ($25 with $5 voucher)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175717360181?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

Port out and back to keep the same burner number because I like the number. $25c per porting, still positive gearing from the cashback.

Using amaysim $60/year to keep my primary number.

    Hope this help.

This is how I got one of my orders cancelled out automatically (no email from boost about it), And Cashrewards took like 7-14 days to update the status on that transaction to declined. (in that 7-14 days I was still in belief that I would get the cashback). Only way to be sure in that case is to check if money has been deducted from account or not.

Max I got is 5 from this deal, now ofcourse

      "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG
We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later."
      cannot get around it

      • Kogan used to allow 4 purchases using the same payment details/card, then chuck a wobbly. I wonder if that's why… if just paying with a different CC would work?

      • +2

I ordered 15 yesterday and all 15 used the same payment, email, phone number and address.
        Of those 15, 2 didn't track.

    • what expiry date did you get for these optus sim packs?
and to confirm optus allow you to activate them without applying credit?

      • +1

Still awaiting for the optus sim to turn up. Maybe tomorrow or the next day. Will let you know

        • I'd like to know how you go too.
AFAIK you need to activate them with a paid plan, they're pretty useless (and free) on their own.

          • +1

            @ozilicious: Rightio.
Big win IMO. Serve the purpose I need and with bonus. Was only using it to port out and back into boost.
So far so good. I will run the data flat and port back to boost for much better data and reception.
Port over to optus $.30c sim. Took 10 mins.
Expiry date is 30 May 2025

Sim included $20 Optus Prepaid Epic Data
            12Gb
            Unlimited text
            200min call

            More info here
            http://smb.optus.com.au/opfiles/Shop/All/cis/Cis%20Documents…

            • @Trungga: Awesome, thanks for reporting back here and glad it worked for you!

            • @Trungga: Wait, so these $2 sims are actually each a $20 prepaid kit for $0.30 each?

              • +1

@ozilicious: That is what I click through the activation. However, Optus is not honouring this at all. Making you recharge to get the service activate. So might not work out.

                • @Trungga: Damn, sad to hear that

                  • +1

@ozilicious: Good news. Turn out I made a typo on the sim number when activating. A few phone call and they made the fix. I didn't check on the credit as I need Telstra reception. Serve my purpose well. Port out and back in to boost in no time if no hiccup. 5-10 minutes for the port to complete each way. Hope this helps.

    • +1

      You're not losing just 25 cents though. It's costing $4.85 every 28 days. i.e. $60 Amaysim, divided by 365 days in a year, multiplied by 28 days (how long a Boost SIM is for). So that's 60 / 365 * 28 = $4.60. Then add the 25 cent port: $4.60 + $0.25 = $4.85.

You already have unlimited calls and texts available on the Boost SIMs, but are paying $60 as well to park a phone number. There's cheaper ways.

e.g. Someone in a past Boost CR thread said they contact Boost and ask them to switch their permanent phone number onto each new Boost SIM they buy. (No porting out and back in.)

      I'd be:

      • Searching for and reading that post and/or asking them how exactly they do that, or…

      • Switch the permanent number with Amaysim over to their "Pay As You Go" plan for $10 a year, or the $5 ALDI "PAYG Starter Kit" using it only for incoming calls. Use the Boost SIMs for outgoing calls. Or…

      • Just ditch the permanent number. No more $5 ALDI or $10 Amaysim required. I know you said you want to keep it, but this is for other people reading this too, who maybe haven't thought about it.

Business and government don't care what your number is. They'll still answer every number that calls them. And with friends and family you either SMS your new number to everyone in your phone contacts in one block every month, or, SMS the most frequent contacts before calling them the first time each new SIM, saying: "It's slurping Albo calling." If people get fed up and dump you over only your outgoing number changing, great - they weren't worth keeping around anyway. (Practically, people quickly get used to answering the new unknown number calling them every month, knowing it's you.)

      • Thanks for your input.

I have tried the low fee long term sim card for my main and I run into many issue.

        • some organisation required you to reply simply yes or no. And I find those $5-$10 run out in no time. Especially school because the number on file for the parent is proof they are taking to the parent not the kid faking a reponse from a random number. (Had this issue that’s why I know)

        • calling from a different number everymonth is anoying and very sus. Yes the primary number still accept call but with nowaday scammers using mobile number to call, many dont pick up my phone.

        • redo voice mail
          Just name a few

I found paying a cheap full year plan is best to keep the number and some ability to call and text.

I use boost sim for data mainly and the unlimited oversea calling.

Yes you can get the cost down to nil if not positive gearing with cashback.

But to run a phone on $5 a month. It is cheaper than most entertainment subscription .

Bonus now is the $.25c optus sim card give $20 worth of service (so they said)
So churn n churn to keep my secondary number. This could really work to keep the primary number. Just have to set up the voice mail or don't event bother. This really fit in to what you said above. I might do this with my primary number once my yearly plan run out.

        Cheers mate.

        • some organisation required you to reply simply yes or no. And I find those $5-$10 run out in no time.

Yeah in those cases I use the cheap/free/cashback SIM for both out and in that one time. The permanent number is more for friends/family or apps like KFC that logs you out every few times and requires an SMS to log back in.

Especially school because the number on file for the parent is proof they are taking to the parent not the kid faking a reponse from a random number. (Had this issue that’s why I know)

Ok. The receptionist at our kids school hasn't done that. I guess she must know our voices.

calling from a different number everymonth is anoying and very sus. Yes the primary number still accept call but with nowaday scammers using mobile number to call, many dont pick up my phone.

Maybe at first. By the third time people just say, "Ok." As before, I send an SMS each month to everyone in one hit giving new number.

Oh and Kogan texted me their sales for months. I refuse to waste money clicking their unsub link on the incoming-calls-only phone. So I would type the URL into a PC browser. But no matter how I entered the phone number (+61 04… or 61 04… or just the number starting with 04… etc) it wouldn't unsub me. So I emailed them saying that and they did it manually.

Bonus now is the $.25c optus sim card give $20 worth of service (so they said)

I'll have another look. I thought data on $2 SIMs was only a couple of GB at most. (Calls/texts obviously don't matter cause those are free with the Boost SIMs anyway.)

  • Is more discount expected tomorrow? Just wondering as it keeps changing everyday.

  • Which other telco do you use to port out and back with Boost?

  • none of mine have been tracked, i hope i dont miss out on the cashback. i have to open claims

    • All mine have tracked

    • +1

Double check your web router, browser, vpn, antivirus etc. if there is even the slightest bit of adblocking or vpn (direct or indirect) or popup block or something like that happening that would immediately render Cashreward's tracking system useless. Cashrewards high speed tracking is highly prone to even slightest bit of blocking.

Most common adblocks include chromium extensions, or antivirus built in adblocks, or vpn softwares like Nord VPN's web protection etc. stuff like that. For such softwares you may not only need to close them, but instead shut down their background services too from task manager in windows (like nordsec, nord services etc.)

Also if the issue keeps happening may be do a screen recording, IF ON windows simply use the built in xbox game bar ( Windows + G ) to capture screen, and share it with someone from CR team. Obviously hide your personal details before sending video.

    • using cashback app tracks most of the time.

    • The CR tracking email comes in a few minutes or less. So I always check my email inbox before buying the next SIM.

Have you been in bed since the last $4 Boost Mobile Cashback deal? You must be well rested

      Now change the sheets.

BTW @Cashrewards team just a suggestion for you guys,
any way you could implement an additional information "Order Number" on the Cashreward Customer's end (when User clicks on reward section) ?
similar to how Shopback includes that order number information wherever possible ? I mean shopback transaction dont show order amount spent too, so kudos to cashrewards for including that info. But order number in addition would be a lot better.

I and surely a lot of other members over here would highly appreciate knowing which order was their Cashback associated with (in case they are doing multiple transactions).
I know the cashrewards team can see it on their end but it would be a lot easier for customers to be able to that associated order number info too.

    Thanks regardless again.

    • They probably won't read this. Click the hours and minutes next to your username, hit the copy button, and paste it to TA in a PM.

    • Yeah not just you. Help support haven't been exactly helpful either.

    • Can’t get past it either.

    • Same here.

    • Same after buying 1

What's the most anyone has ordered? I've read conflicting reports on using different details for each transaction.

    • I had 100 with ZIP

      • You have 100 wife???

      • How do you active them ?with same detail ?

  • +1

How do people use these deals? Just activate for the profit and put the SIM in the cupboard? Or do they port numbers they actually use back and forth to Boost? I'm curious but am out of the loop and don't know if this info is out there.

    • All up to you

    • New number for burner phones

    • in a spare phone: data buffer for mobile or when my nbn goes down

    • It's calls, texts, data. So anything that uses those. e.g. Data for hidden GPS tracker in car. Dump kids paid service and let them annoy their friends every 28 days with a new number. Data for tablets. Free intro credit and birthday food from takeaways. Share free internet over wifi to all the people sleeping in their cars at the beach because Albo's incoming Indian imports took all the available rentals, etc.
