Great deal if you are after a budget 5.1 sub/sat system. Just add a basic 5.1 AV receiver and you're good to go.

Note that these are New Old Stock, but the seller does give a warranty has a 100% rating and is a seller quite a few of us has bought from in the past.

Some suggestions for an AV receiver would be perhaps something used, or if you prefer new, have a look at something like the following. All of which are available for under $600 delivered.

Onkyo TX-SR393, $549 delivered from Klapp Audio.
Yamaha RX-V#85. $478 delivered from Selby Acoustics.
Pioneer VSX-534 $434.92 delivered from Custom Hometheatre ovia Ebay with Ebay Plus code, $524 without.
Sony STR—DH590. $599 + delivered from JB HiFi
Denon AVR-X580BT $576 delivered from Selby Acoustics.

There may well be some better deals out there but these are just some suggestions that I easily found.

Also there are a few refurb Marantz Slimline units fro Hifi Clearance on ebay for under $500.

    Jamo A 210PDD Review

    By Aaron Colter

    June 11, 2003

wow these units are old enough to drink, vote, drive a car, join the armed forces

"The A 210 satellite speaker has a half ellipsoid shape with silver elliptic front grilles. It is a two-way closed-box design with 1″ tweeter and 3 ¾” woofer. As the specs indicate, this speaker only goes down to about 140 Hz"

"The A 2SUB subwoofer is round in shape with an 18.5″ diameter. Its depth is less than 6″, so it can be hidden easily under a table or sofa if desired. It can be laid flat on the floor or mounted sideways on the wall like a car’s wheel. The A 2SUB has an 8″ woofer and an 8″ passive radiator. If it lays flat with its feet on the floor, the woofer faces down and the passive radiator is on the top part of the subwoofer. The A 2SUB is powered by a 100 W internal amplifier and it accepts only low-level signal through single ended RCA connection. "

ehhhh what ya gonna get for $125? its not great not terrible 3.6

That explains the VCR in the product picture lol

    • wow these units are old enough to drink, vote, drive a car, join the armed forces

Would also explain this bit of nonsense: RRP $1199.00 - our price $125.00

  • Of the receivers I listed above, I have only owned the Pioneer VSX-534. Other than the annoying spring clips for the speakers other than the mains, it was a greatt budget receiver. Basic, easy to set up, sounded good with the Q Acoustics then Jamo setup I had back then.

Also a plus with this receiver is you can set it up as a 3.1.2 Atmos setup, giving phantom rears, or just as a 5.1. I never tried it as 3,1,2, so cant comment as to how effective it is.

    • ehhh

these units presented are really super low end

i'd probalby go a denon with network support…. this is mandatory in this day and age

i suppose you guys love BT as well?

and yeah simple stuff like banana plugs everywhere, NO SPRING CLIPS

you are better off hanging around for those $699 ebay deals on just superceded mid range receivers

BUT this is over investment if your interention is to use these $125 speakers

however if you replace the three front speakers with something decent its not the worst thing ever

without listening to this sub I can tell it going to be weak given theres almost no box volume

That's why I listed them. Budget amps for budget speakers.

    • IME 5.1.2 ATMOS is crap.

ATMOS/DTS:X needs at least 4 dedicated ceiling speakers IMO - as in 5.1.4 or just stick to 5.1

  • This would work well with an AVR purchased off of gumtree for a cheap 5.1 HT setup.

  • For minimalist 5.1 setup, Cambridge Audio Minx is the go to IMO

    • yes but 10 to 20x this price

Thanks OP!!! I bought a RX-V596 the other day for $60 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/186034015901 These will hopefully work well with it :)

  • Is there some way to connect this up to a PC without breaking the bank? My computer has the 6 or 7 3.5mm sound jacks at the back if that helps
