    That's a great price.

If anyone needs eneloops & a slow charger.
    4pk AA 2000mAh & overnight charger is $24/$21.60 with s&s

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0779MZ1WH

    Mentioned in this post
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/796388

    • Can you recharge these energizer batteries with the eneloop charger?

      • Yes

      • +1

Of course. No issue at all

      • +3

        Yep, they're NiMh batteries & it's a NiMh charger.

      • +2

Just be aware that Panasonic sell two chargers that look the same, but the performance difference is night and day.

The "overnight" charger is cheap, but slowly damages your batteries so you'll be throwing them out in a year or two, and buying more. It's a false economy to save money on the charger when the batteries are so expensive.

Spend a little more, and buy a charger that won't damage your batteries. The cheapest such good charger is the Panasonic "smart and quick" charger, model BQ-CC55 or K-KJ55MCC4TA, regularly listed here on OzBargain, like this deal that's currently running: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/794891

Also read my comments in that deal to see an even better charger for only $3 more.

  • Beats the eneloop deal for sure

    • +3

      Eneloops last longer though

      • +7

        Lucky they are rechargeable then.

  • Thanks and bought!!

  • +6

Ikea ones are $12 for 4 with a higher capacity

    • Would you say Ladda is generally a better buy?

Looking for some AAA…its $8 for 4 at Ikea.

      • have some ladda, they are amazing, would recommend

  • +1

Thanks, got some for my Samsung door lock which takes 8 and normally lasts about 5-6 months.

  • +15

Don't waste your money on this, they will drain like no tomorrow and will soon become environmental waste. Ikea and eneloop win over this any day and their reliability are proven. Besides being overpriced and having pretty print out sticker Energizer has nothing else to offer.

    • Have you bought some before?

    • +4

You mean, Jacko’s been lying to us all along?

    • Well said….just cancelled my order.

    • +3

Not sure what you’re on about I’ve had these for three years and still going strong. Bought extra for family and same no issues I even have some in solar lights outside in Harsh conditions and they still work.

      • I haven’t had any problems with them either.

    • Do you have any evidence to backup this bold claim or is this just personal experience? Because there’s a big difference.

      • +1

Yes, I have used them in the past, some battery just died randomly, the amount of charge you can get out of it is pathetic. They're no where close to the lsd one from ikea or eneloop.
Given energizer just capitalise on their brand name and still making money selling all sort of batteries at half price every second week at Coles worths, you'd be fool to keep giving them the money. They barely have any innovations in their product so why bother.

    • Have you used them lately?

I ask because that was my experience with energizers.. almost 15 years ago

  • Noob here, how do you recharge these?

    • +4

Just shake till they go ‘ding’…

    • +2

Put them between your cheeks after eating chicken tikka

    • Need a reasonable ni-mh charger …..some running 240v some of run off USB charger ….240v are faster if charging 4 batteries …. Hasn't been much listed for good charger deals unlike when the envelop craze was on

    • +1

NiMH charger. Get a good one that is smart and doesnt overcharge your batteries. Cheap ones do.

Ikea has one for $12 that is really good. But while you're at it you may as well buy the Ladda's from Ikea. They're a lot better

      • Would the best combo be: Eneloop overnight charger paired with extra Ladda batteries?

      • +1

        That IKEA charger has problems.

Reposting a previous comment I made:

The IKEA "smart" chargers barely qualify as smart. If you have one, try this test to confirm:

        • Charge some batteries
        • Let them cool to room temperature
        • Put them back into the charger and see how long it takes to detect that the batteries were already fully charged.

The current IKEA "smart" charger takes about 30 minutes to stop charging. For comparison, the Liitokala Lii-500 stops charging after 4 minutes. So the IKEA charger is really bad at detecting the "battery full" signal, and is therefore likely to overcharge your batteries and damage them.

  • Need some AAA!

Have too many AA eneloops already

    • I wish there were more IKEA stores in Sydney. The closest one is an hour drive away.

  • +1

Are these cells made in China?, as it states 'Country/Region of origin ‎USA', which isn't likely where it is made. The Ladda batteries are made in Japan.

    • On the Officeworks link it says are manufactured in Singapore. But I wouldn't be 100% sure on that.

    • I've got AAA Energizer's from around 2-3 years ago. Those were made in Japan!

  • Can you charge these with eneloops charger ?

    • Answered above.

Great set of batteries, highly recommended.
If you want higher capacity, Duracell have 2500mAh.
Not sure why everyone is so obsessed with Ladda and Eneloop on this website.

  • +6

For those unsure why some of us prefer Eneloop or Ladda rather than Energizer is because of self discharge. I must admit my experience with Energizer was from a long time ago so these may have improved but the Energizer ones I had before are no longer usable because it self discharges so quickly. The Eneloop I bought around the same time are still working fine after all these years.

    • Valid

    • +2

      Interesting.
I on the other hand have owned rechargeable Energizer and Duracell for several years and not noticed any form of capacity drain.
