Apple Store & Apple Education Store: 7% Cashback (Online Only, No Cap, Exclusions Apply, Was 1.3%) @ Cashrewards

1000

Reached out to TA to see if any deals were coming up and he was delightful to share an Apple cashback deal for "Mr Apple man". Everything is now eligible (except one physical Apple item - please see list of exclusions below), and with NO CAPPED CASHBACK - spend away!

Brodens can stack with saved up 10-15% off Gift Cards from ColesWorth for even greater discounts! (remember - Apple allows a maximum of 8 Apple Gift Cards per transaction. You can bypass this by adding the Gift Card to your Apple Account Balance instead. From mine as well as plenty of other OzBargainers' experiences from other posts, cashback will still track if the payment method consists of the Apple Account Balance either fully or partially).

Current Gift Card Promotions (to stack):

  1. 20x Everyday Rewards Points on Apple Gift Cards (Limited to 10 Cards Per Member) @ BIG W in-Store Only

@WookieMonster (our gift card wiki) will probably hop on the comments to help out on any gift card enquiries - thanks as always).

OzBargainers… Enjoy :)

Upsized cashback rate: 7% (Was 1.3%)

Offer starts 12am AEST 29/08/2023 and ends 11:59pm AEST 29/08/2023

Phew, thought the exclusion would be the polishing cloth

  • Iphone 14 pro max included?

    • +1

From what I read in the post, it says only the Apple Pro Display XDR is excluded. Of course, you may read it differently.

    • Yes.

    • +1

New iPhones just around the corner in a few weeks to a month don’t think it’s a good time to buy. As you may get it cheaper then or if you need something now just grab it.

  • Interesting it doesn't exclude or include Certified Refurbished.

Choice - a souped up Mac Mini, or spend more for an enhanced MBA 15, or base MBP 14…
For some reason I want 16gb ram, and 512gb storage.

    • last time i did CR I bought MBP M2Pro Refurbished and got the cashback!

    • +1

Cashback is eligible on purchases paid with gift cards, and eligible on the purchase of Apple refurbished products.

  • Less than 1 month to go, iPhone 15!

    • Don't expect any cashback on it though until the following year.

Reached out to TA to see if any deals were coming up and he was delightful

There’s one thing you can be certain of, and that’s that TA will be delightful. Especially if you have sufficient reach to make the right impression

    • **If you have sufficient reach to make it delightful.

    • +1

It’s not about the reach. If you have a good relationship with anyone in life or via the internet, then they would be willing to help you progress in life. Same goes with friends and family.

      • Top words 👌

  • I don’t trust Cashrewards, multiple times not tracked. Wouldn’t depend on this deal to save, think of it as a bonus instead

    • +5

Of course YMMV. As I've never had a single issue with Cashrewards over many years.

The ****heads at Shopback though are a different kettle of fish entirely. A bloated website that's hobbled together with adhoc UI components plus a guaranteed failure that upsized and Westpac bonus cashbacks won't track? Hard pass.

And let's not even get started on their "customer service". 🙄

      • Ha interesting, I've got the inverse experience, overall I don't rely on any cashbacks anymore and just assume I'm paying the full price and whatever I get is just a bonus.

        Indeed YMMV :-)

  • Just as a comparison:
    Education store Mac Mini @ $829 = $771
    Vs AEC @ $795

  • How do you get 15% off gift cards ?

    • +16

Build a time machine to take advantage of one of the following:

The only one of these that happen periodically is the 15% off selected TCN gift cards at Coles (around Black Friday) and 15% off Ultimate gift cards at Coles (around early December).

There are other ways you can effectively get a 15+% discount on Apple gift cards (e.g. purchase a Coles Mastercard gift card at a 10% discount, then use that to purchase an Apple/TCN/Ultimate gift card at a 10% discount), and they would be somewhat more achievable and more regular than what I pointed out above, but that would also require additional effort…

        Build a time machine

Today we’re interviewing the inventor of the world’s first time machine! Welcome, WookieMonster. Putting your technical genius aside, many are wondering why you set out to build your time machine… was it to save humanity from its almost certain demise, was it to right some injustice of the past, or was it the desire for a glimpse of the far-distant future?

Actually, I was just really annoyed that I couldn’t get 15% off Apple Gift Cards…

  • Stupid question, but does this cashback include apple AOC store?

    • +1

      Was wondering the same thing,

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/708411#comment-12311732

      Seems to be possible

    • Yes it does. I bought mba on 18/7 on AOC with cashback tracked and approved on 23/8.
Just follow the steps in the link posted in another comment.

      • Thanks for the heads up. When using the Cashrewards app how do you get to the AOC store? It only seems to display the main edu store..

        • Just realised the answer was in the link above 🤦🏼‍♂️

  • "Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching"

I wonder how that affects the edu store

    • It doesn't affect the EDU store. If you purchase from the EDU store you will still receive your cashback.

      • +2

        Nice find @prhino, thank you.

The student discounts wording has now been removed from the terms (screenshot here). Have a great day :)

  • Why do I keep getting error message on sign in:

    Not available in your region.

Unfortunately Cashrewards is unavailable in your region. If you are in the service area and believe you've received this message in error, please email us at [email protected]

    • You're in Adelaide. Is that even part of Australia?

  • Thanks TA - my purchase tracked last night :)
