  • What program code did you put in?

    • +3

      Click "Don’t Know Your Program Code? Click here."

  • +3

    @rmit.edu.au didn't work

    • staff at rmit get it for free

  • +1

    Doesn't work with a legit @edumail.vic.gov.au or @xyz.vic.edu.au for me.

    I tried a random @xyz.vic.gov.au and that worked.

  • +4

    From my understanding, it is reliant on the organisation signing up with the MS HUP. You apparently can purchase the program again every two years. My employer (a WA state govt Dept) also added on Visio and Project for $15 each, but my previous employer (a different WA state govt Dept) only let us buy Office Pro.

    • +1

      WA State Govt here as well, great deal.

    i tried a uni email and it didn't work…..

  • anyone have a program code?

  • works on @myspace.com according to google

    If your about to set one up, it may take over 24hrs for the program to identify it

    • +21

      Wow, finally a use for MySpace :P

    • +1

      just tried a myspace address and it goes through - time to create a fake account!

      • Mate Can you please tell me how??!

        I just created one but it keeps telling me I don't have an @myspace.com address. Was it because I don't have American IP address?

        • can take up to 24hrs for it to accept a new myspace email
          And you may have to use USA VPN

        • luckily I had a working @myspace.com email id, but I still haven't received a thing.

    • +5

      MySpace employees used to get @myspace.com email addresses, but a while back they changed it so users get an @myspace.com email address, and all the employees get @myspace-inc.com. I guess they never updated this Microsoft program with their new email domain.

  • +1

    Worked with my une.edu.au email - thank you :)

  • +1

    yup .nsw.gov.au works! Thanks OP!

  • +2

    SENSATIONAL

    .sa.gov.au works a treat

    • I couldn't get it to work for .sa.gov.au!!!

  • Not really a new offer, it's been around for ages. Defence emails work.

    • +3

      So do a lot of private companies… As long as they've signed up to the program…

  • +1

    @au.fujitsu.com works

    Are there other MS products that can be purchased in similar manner/price?

    • +2

      Ask your employer…

      One place I worked for had free TechNet !!!

    • As per my earlier post, my employer also also allows Visio and MS Project 2010 to be picked up for $15 each.

  • Does this software have a license expiry date? after which you will have to purchase a new license key?

  • How to you purchase the Office Mac 2011? It mentions it in the drop down menu for "Other Products" but no active link.

    • when you click on the link thats sent to your email, you have the option to choose

  • +1

    Got it earlier this year. @ato.gov.au works

    Only downside is that your license is only valid so long as you are with your current employer. No idea how they would enforce this though.

    • +1

      they dont; it is a trust thing.

    • This is for Home Use. You install it on your home PC.
      You do not need to buy Office software for work use - you employer does it.

  • +1

    How can I create a @myspace.com email for myself?

    • i think you have to be working for myspace to have an [email protected]
      please correct me if i am wrong

      • +1

        no you don't - just create a profile and then choose a username on this page https://www.myspace.com/my/settings/account/name

        I can currently send from the address I created but it's bouncing replies back at the moment.

        • +1

          so what is the actual address?
          [email protected]?
          edit: nvm just click on change url and realise this double as your my space email adress

        • they sure dont make it easy to work out how to do it… took me forever to figure it out

        • +2

          I also can't receive any mail from the address, only send

        • Got this email from myspace when i setup my email
          You cans end and receive emails according to them

          Hey John,

          This is to confirm your new @myspace.com email address: [email protected]

          With Myspace Mail, you can send and receive email from all your friends, whether they are on Myspace or use a different email address

      • That used to be the case. However, they changed it so users get an @myspace.com email address, and all the employees are actually @myspace-inc.com. I guess they never updated this Microsoft program with their new email domain. :P

    @student.unsw.edu.au fail

    • @zmail.unsw.edu.au also fail

  • +3

    @student.unimelb.edu.au doesn't work :(

  • worked with my wa.gov.au address….nice

  • +3

    @students.latrobe.edu.au doesn't work. Myspace seemed to work but yet to receive the email.

    PS: its only if you $10 (NZD?) if you say ur from the NZ or $9.95 from US.

    • +2

      I just check a bunch of country and Australia is the most expensive
      This is ridiculous. Why do Australian have to pay more for everything.
      If you say you are from Hong Kong you can get it for even less around 9AUD

      • +4

        It's because the costs of shipping the bits further and our low exchange rate to the USD, right?

        • +10

          No. It's well known internationally that Aussies are suckers, therefore you can take them for all they're worth! :)

        • +2

          I thought it was the carbon tax?

        • Sorry Michael, that's not at all the case. It is the officially cited "reason" which is just bollocks as digital content distribution requires no "region-specific" investments. So they're full of it.

        • +1

          WOOSH

      • +1

        ok an update: india seem to get an even cheaper price at 450 INR which is approximately 7.8 AUD according to xe converter.

        • Yeah $7.8 seems to be the cheapest. $10 NZD = $7.8 AUD too.

    • +3

      Tested my Myspace email via gmail:
      "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: *****@myspace.com"

      Perhaps Myspace doesn't enable the mail of your myspace account for a set period?

      • check your privacy setting to allow emails to be sent from anonymous users

        • I can't find it.. everything I see in the settings is fine
          Privacy
          Who can email me Open
          Did you have to change something?

          Set privacy setting to accept emails/messages from anonymous users

          I can't find this step :|

        • my myspace email dont work, but i got the congratulations message…. if i send from hotmail to my myspace, i get the bounce back, but if i email to myself at myspace it goes through fine. i have my account on myspace set to "allow messages from non-friends" my myspace account is about five years old….

        • MyStuff -> Account Setting -> Mail (Under Messaging Setting on LHS) and its there.

      • +1

        Apparently it can take days for the myspace email address to start working. Current tips I have found:

        1) Under Mail setting make sure "Allow non-friends to send me new messages" is ticked
        2) Under Mail settings make sure "Require CAPTCHA [?] for non-friends to send me messages" is unticked
        3) Send an email to your home email from the Myspace email
        4) Add the Microsoft email to your safe list by sending an email to [email protected] (New Zealand one shown as its cheaper) but it just take the form of [email protected] for other countries.
        5) Wait ….for ages.

        I had an old MySpace account and it doesn't even send/receive emails. So I created a new one too just in case. I got an email from then saying use your myspace email to send/receive emails but it won't receive emails yet.

        • ok, did this method…. waiting with crossed fingers…

        • It takes a long time… Set up MySpace account 8 hours ago - still not accepting incoming emails from my email address linked to that account - just bounces back. More waiting.

        • Myspace took over 24 hrs before accepting emails.
          You can select countries other than USA - NZ$10 was a better price.

      • it works for me but I need to wait about 12-18 hours. I registered last night and found the same issue as same as you. However, I try again today afternoon and it works now.

    • Damn. NOW you tell me! lol.

    @sydney.edu.au fail

    @uowmail.edu.au doesn't work
    @newcastle.edu.au doesn't work

  • +3

    Just remember that even if it works for you, don't use the product in a business. If you get audited, you'll get busted, as your license will not be valid.

  • +1

    Do not work:
    @uwa.edu.au
    @student.uwa.edu.au

    :(

  • +2

    This is regular home use program price so I don't see how it's a bargin. People are silly if they don't know what benefits are offered by their employer. Also the term and conditions clearly state the offer is void once you cease employment with the employer signed up to the HUP so anyone getting through the MySpace loophole may as well download it off a torrent site as there copy is not licenced.

    • +3

      True… but we get regular security updates and that general feeling of content by paying corporations money, however misplaced that feeling may be. :)

  • Hi guys,

    Those of you that purchased the non-Oz versions, did you have any problems with activation? Not sure if geographical restriction will apply if you try to activate a USA/India etc package via a local IP, so please so share your feedback…

    • no difference. non-Oz only affects the way you get billed, not the software and serial.
      (I used NZ no probs)

    • I used @myspace.com for register and download. Select USA version. Can install here without any issue.

      • ?Why pay so much - just select NZ etc for cheaper deal through @myspace.
        Paid $7.88, no problem.

  • works:

    @ventyx.abb.com

  • +1

    No go on @education.nsw.gov.au , @monash.edu and @jamesruse.nsw.edu

    • +20

      "Got myself 2 copies of everything 32bit & 63 bit"

      You got ripped off man! That missing bit makes all the difference.

      • Typo, 64bit.

      • This made my day, LOL!

      • Funniest stuff I have heard for quiet some time…

    • -1

      BCM = Business Contact Manager? (for outlook?)
