      • Hmm, but the deal is active for another 179 days, wondering if we can reorder close to the end of 2nd month. Could at least get 8 to 9 months

  • how do they define a customer? can two customers pay using same commbank card, and get 5 mobile sims + 5 data sims?

    • They store the card token against each customer, which prevents using the same card details across another More account.

      • cheers

      • Does that mean if you decide you want more than 5 services, you just need a second card, but you could still activate it in the same name? But I presume if an account is limited to 5 services anyway, you might still need it on another account

  • -3

So this is a 12month contract?
    3 months free?

So can’t quite leave after 3months?

  • I reckon you can cancel anytime…..does says in the T&C's but just wondering if possible to rejoin again as a new customer…does that define us being a new customer after rejoining again after a month…..

  • Can I order for my mum who's with Belong mobile (telstra wholesale network). Can I port from Belong to More easily?

    • +1

I would say yes , as i was able to port from mate > tangerine > mate

  • -2

so commbank are phone providers now?

  • -2

so if i want to order 5 mobile sims and 5 data sims does it have to all be at the same time of the order to get the 3 Months Free ? will it involve a sperate credit check every time or just a single credit hit on the file? do more nbn customers count as new customers? no cost or penalty if one ports out before before the end of the 2 months? i have boost sim that's going to expire tomorrow can i start the port over process today and still be able to keep and activate the number once the sim arrives or will the previous number still need to be active to receive sms port in code ? how long does it to arrive in the mail and port over? do you have to sign or show id to receive deliver from couriers or can you get it sent to a parcel locker address?

    • +1

not sure who the moron is that likes to neg everyone your question is valid though, but yeah I don't know the answer.

    • i called an agent and asked my questions but I'm not confident in their reply. she said a total 5 could be done in separate orders later on and only one credit check would be done. more nbn customers are ok. as long as you sign up with a cba card you get the first 3 months free. sim needs to be active when porting in. only street address acceptable since someone needs to sign for it and show id.

.i down loaded the terms and it conflicts on what the more agent told me as it states
" If you have any active More mobile services or have previously held a More mobile service, you are ineligible for this offer."
so what's the best way to maximise is it to order 5 in upfront as apposed to staggered?
since you have 30 days to activate sim from date of order can you stagger the activation or porting in within the 30 days or does it need all to be done at the same day as the terms state you cant be an existing more mobile customer? as soon as you activate the first sim you are no longer a new customer and thus will you have to pay the full price for the order sims or it doesn't matter as longer as all were listed as $0 during initial order?

      • what does 'more nbn customers are ok.' mean?

        • If you have More NBN, you are still eligible for this offer.

(It was slightly ambiguous since the offer says it's for "new customers", although it does also say that "new mobile customers who do not have an existing More mobile service")

          • @coxymla: Exactly. Ii is not related to existing NBN service so is fine.

    • +1

Eligible customers who successfully activate a new mobile service under this offer can subsequently
add additional mobile services to their account. Any additional mobile services added during the
Offer Period will also receive the 3 months’ free plan fees and ongoing discount of 10% off the RRP,
up to a maximum of 5 mobile services.

  • Can one terminate the service after the 3 months?

    • +1

Certainly but you will need to pay for the 4th month if you do that.

      • -1

that is still not bad paying for one month and getting 4.

        • +2

Better to just terminate before the end of the third month and get almost 3 months completely free.

    • +5

Why one month, just port out on last 2 days of free period

  • If I cancel my CBA credit card during the 3 months will my plan automatically revert back to the non-CBA customer pricing?

    • id say only when you change the billing option to a non cba card, simply get yourself a cba debit card.

    • Yes.

      • +1

They don't actually charge the CBA card until the 4th month. If they port out within 3 months, I don't see any issues.

        • +1

Yes, I think it does not know that the CBA card has been deactivated during the three months.

  • does anyone know if you can still receive sms when travelling overseas? rep said no unless i buy a travel pack but im not confident in them.

    • I could receive SMS on my Boost while overseas. More is also using Telstra network, so you probably can.

  • I signed up with my Commbank card, Just looks like I've only been given 1 month instead of 3, In the portal it says that my data resets on 6/10, am I missing something?

    • Wouldn't that mean "Data Resets" (new Month) and nothing to do with charge?

  • Do these guys have a reputation for pulling deals early? My current plan doesn't end till the end of this month.

    • unlikely especially as it is valid up to 29/02/24

  • I just finished my NBN with More on June28, now if I port my mobile to more, am I still eligible for 3 months free as new customer?

  • Being over 55 has its advantages: I opened a Pensioner Security Account, with debit card, for no monthly fee.

Other CommBank fee-free debit card options include being under 30 or a student, in receipt of an eligible pension, or a holder of a health care or pensioner concession card. Everyone else needs to deposit at least $2000 per month, or pay a $4 per month fee.

Note that you'll need to have at least $1 in your account to cover the pre-authorisation when you sign up for the More Telecom offer.

    • Everyone else needs to deposit at least $2000 per month.
      Damn hassle..

      • You can just move $2k in total in-and-out, quickly on osko. money doesn't have to stay in the account.

      • Just automate it with scheduled transfers from your main account will do. Hardly any hassels

  • Anyone know if you can add an Apple Watch cellular plan to these accounts?

    • +1

      No, you cannot.
This is not a service that More or Tangerine provides.

  • Just got the email, and searched here to post up a deal.. too late lol.

Currently with Boost 12 month plan which expires in the next couple of months so perfect timing. I can then port back to Boost after 3 months with a new discounted Boost SIM to save myself the rigmarole of trying to recharge with new SIM.

Now I'm planning to go to Japan in December.

Would I be able to receive SMS overseas? What about receiving Calls if using wifi calling?

I believe I would be able to with Boost Mobile.

    • Would I be able to receive SMS overseas? What about receiving Calls if using wifi calling?

      Sounds like you can -

Wi-Fi Calling is useful when you:

      • Want to extend coverage while indoors; or
      • Are travelling overseas and want to call back to Australia.
      • Need to stay connected, even if there’s a mobile network outage.
  • +3

Amazing deal. Including this deal, I will be virtually paying $8 for 9 months of sim only plans.

Started on 20 March with Lyca mobile $1/month for 3 months. Then ported to Aussie broadband for 2 months for free. Then ported to Mate for $1 for a month. Then got Lebara for $4/month from Coles. And now will use this for next 3 months :)

    • +1

      Damn! That's pretty awesome.
I need to up my game on SIM slutting.

I just bought the Catch Connect 12-month prepaid SIM to be used after the 3-month stay with More.
I am now beginning to have regrets after reading your comment.

Did you find all these SIM deals from OzBargain or self research?

      • +1

1 from OZ bargain, remaining self search/social media ads!

  • +2

Which genius designed the email system ? They sent my credentials in the order email.

    • +3

They sent my credentials in the order email.

I almost fell off my chair when I saw that in the order confirmation email.

The fact that they sent the portal login password in plaintext is a complete fail on so many levels.
They should have stored the password as a hash (along with a salt), and should never have sent it in the first place. No one does this as you can reset your password (if required).

Also, their Remember Me check box is completely useless. It never works.

  • +1

Only just remembered haven't even received the Sim. Fail whale!

    • +1

No signature required in my tracking info. I ordered it last weekend and will possibly receive it on Thursday or Friday. It was sent from VIC.

Tracking number starts with TMP like Boost Mobile SIM.

You should have received an email says "Your SIM Card is on the way! XXX" that contains tracking info.

      • Thanks champ I'll check my email in that case. It has been awhile prolly over a couple of weeks now.

      • Weird just checked no tracking number on mine.

        Tracking Reference: N/A
        Delivery Partner: N/A

Opened a case through the portal let's see what happens.

        • +1

Nothing will happen, at least for mine:) abt 5 days already since I have received 4 out of 5 SIMs and sent a message asking for the whereabouts on the last one.

  • Pretty smooth for me to port from Boost to More yesterday. Since More is a postpaid service, the account number needs to be filled when port out. It seems to be 40xxxx, a 6 digits. The invoice is yet to be generated.

  • Can I sign up for 2 numbers with just 1 card?

  • So with this potentially we can get 3 months free then go with whatever promo cahsback with profit for 1 month then go back to 3 months free with more.. repeat?

    • then go back to 3 months free with more.. repeat

      I don't believe so sadly…

      In the full T&Cs:

If you have any active More mobile services or have previously held a More mobile service, you are
      ineligible for this offer

      • Ah okay… just one time. Not bad as 3m not 1.

      • +1

No, it refers to customers who signed up before Sep 2023. Otherwise, how would explain max 5 services having the 3 mths allowed in the terms?
The rest are obviously added after the first one in this promotion.

        • +1

Maybe both are correct, only if you never have before you can have this promo up to 5 numbers but thats it after that you cant. Im just guessing here

      • "If you have any active More mobile services or have previously held a More mobile service, you are
        ineligible for this offer"

Doesn't say you can't sign up for 3 months, then port out, then re-sign up for another 3 months under partner's name ;)

  • I just signed up to their 3 months free mobile plan -5G option. I hardly get signal at my home location, but in Macquarie Park,NSW full bars with 5G. However, when I checked the speed, it is always around 40Mbps!!!

More has full Telstra 5G or is it cutback version?

    • +1

More has full Telstra 5G or is it cutback version?

Wholesale - same as Belong, Aldi, etc.

    • Was using Coles mobile before, which is Optus -4G. I generally get over 140Mbps.

  • Just ordered my sim, can I specify the date I want to activate it?

    • Activate within 30 days of the sim order date

  • i can get this, but it is worth to stay with them after 3 months? low user here, using around 5-6GB for month data
. damn just checked their lowest is like $24.. too much

  • Is it easy to cancel?
Do I still need to call and cancel after porting out?

  • +1

Activated today as my last month of $1 mate ends on sunday.

Says 5G is capped at 250Mbps but managed to geg 350Mbps in poor reception

This will be my 9th free or $1 month.

  • Just wanting to confirm, does the 3 months start on sim activation date? Was stung previously by Mate which started on order date.

Also being postpaid do you have to call to cancel or just ok to port out?

    • +1

Activation date. More and Tangerine use the self service portals for cancellation. It is instant (done in less than 5s)

  • Can anyone already on this plan confirm whether the More account name need to match the CommBank account name? As the Ts&Cs says:

The offer of 3 months’ free mobile plan fees is for new customers who complete sign up using a CommBank credit or debit card as their online bill payment method by 29 February 2024.

    • +1

For my case, you don't have to match to the name of CommBank account holder

  • +1

No eSim as far as I am aware

According to their blog, eSim became available yesterday.

  • Esim supported!

    • +1

I spoke to their useless agent yesterday and was told their eSIM isn't ready. The guy even told me to keep checking their website.

      • +1

try again with different support, maybe the onlinr chat instead of phone, as i was trasnfered between them for like hlf hour, but online support was quick and easy

  • Do the sims become activated as soon as you sign up, or can you order and activate later on?

    • you need to login to your account and activate it, so do it on the day you want to port over or start

  • Hey, not able to use wifi calling since swapping over to MORE, cant even see it in the option anymore but their website says its available. Any else had this issue?

  • +3

Dunno if too recent. But esim working for a week on my side. Got it activated within an hour.

  • Just wondering can you order this now and activate late Dec?

    • +2

Yes. Must activate within 30 days of your order

      • Thanks, will order next week

  • My 3 months are about to come to an end soon after which I will be porting to boost. Does anyone know if I can port back to this deal and get a further 3 months afterwards on the same account?

    • +1

It's a legitimate question, why got negged?
