Apple 60W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter $36.40 + Delivery ($0 with OnePass) @ Catch

120

The 60W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter features a magnetic DC connector, so if someone should trip over it, the cord disconnects harmlessly and your MacBook Pro stays put safely. It also helps prevent fraying or weakening of the cables over time. In addition, the magnetic DC connector helps guide the plug into the system for a quick and secure connection.

When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector lights up; an amber light lets you know that your notebook is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge. An AC cord is provided with the adapter for maximum cord length, while the AC wall adapter (also provided) gives you an even easier and more compact way to travel.

Designed to be the perfect travelling companion, the adapter has a clever design that allows the DC cable to be wound neatly around itself for easy cable storage.

  • I wonder why this is on clearance. The price also seems almost too good to be true. I do wonder if this is a grey import. This is $119 at OW, JB, TGG etc for genuine aussie stock.

    • MagSafe 2 is basically the old Macbook connector, that has been replaced by MagSafe 3 and/or USB-C.

      • Well then the current retail price being flogged for $119 from some said retailers is a rip off.

        • it is. I really need 1 of these but can't justify the price

          • @bisaya: I hope you got one because it's now OOS. That went rather fast.

          That's the RRP + it's an Apple Product…

        • Well yeah.. Apple product, even EOL they don't bother reducing prices, they must have some proper warehouse space somewhere.

  • It just went OOS.

Why are power adapters always mentioned on OB? Rhetorical quesiton.

I have an alert setup for "macbook pro" and all I receive are power adapter notifications every 2 or 3 days.

  • Do you guys think this would be legit on ebay?

I really need a new adapter and would prefer to buy Brand New instead of used.

    • It's probably a grey import. You know we are talking about from some random ebay seller being not an authorised Apple reseller. You'll still get a genuine Apple power adapter.

Only thing is if it's a grey import that you've got to make sure that it comes with an Australian power plug. Chances are it might only come with US or UK power plug only. You've got to have genuine Australian stock to be sure that it does have an AU power plug.

      • Ok so I have the Aus plug already (the part from the brick to the powerpoint).
I just need the "brick to Magsafe 2" piece.

So this is probably good then. Thanks for that

    • Get something like this, especially if you have a 45 or 60w brick
