Seagate 1TB USB 3.0 Portable 2.5'' Hard Drive $99.99 Shipped @ ShoppingSquare

60

As much as I don't really care for SS, this does seem cheap(ish). What they picture is the new model too, unknown if that's what they actually ship though.

The cheapest I found on staticice was $104 plus shipping.

Note: This appears to be a "direct shipping offer" item meaning the items will be shipped directly from overseas supplier by Registered Air Parcel. It takes 10-15 working days to arrive Australia wide according to the info on the SS website.

  • Anyone know if i could pull this apart and put it in a ps3?

    • it's probably a better idea to just buy a 2.5" hard drive

  • I noticed 2 days ago that Dandenong officeworks has WD 1Tb Elements USB3 2.5" drives for $99 .. Local warranty, instant gratification…

  • Seems to be 3.5" at OW, does not say 2.5" anywhere.

    • Portable generally means 2.5", if it was 3.5" it would say desktop (usually).

Gotta be careful with those elements drives, if you plant to take it out of the case to use in something else, you're in for a surprise.

      • So are you saying this Seagate one does not have a a usb pcb soldered onto the hard drive? which means we can opt to take out the drive from the case and use it like a normal 2.5" 5200rpm sata drive?

        • I couldn't guarantee it, but I haven't yet heard of any of the seagates having this "feature".

    • I bought one on Sunday, 2.5" for $99 @ OW in Coburg, VIC.

  • I like how it's no longer angled. That was so annoying and took up extra space.

  • Anyone knows if there are 1.5TB deals?
