What happened to the egg industry and pricing?
In SA it’s a free for all. Must be two dozen brands or at least varieties at Woolworths.
All stores approach mark downs differently. HQ for all super market chains try to make it consistent but have always had little success - humans do what humans want lol. Just depends who does mark downs. How eggs with 30x days left get reduced to 1$ beyond me since items with 2x days left lucky to get 20% mark downs near me.
Feels like someone didn't rotate the eggs, had maybe half a box left very short-dated and then next shift either wasn't notified or forgot to take the ticket off, only scenario I can imagine at least haha
Might have had too many delivered to store but accident?
