Terrible 'deal'. Competitors are offering much better deals. Didn't even know 12/4 speeds existed in 2023.

    • Didn't even know 12/4 speeds existed in 2023.

      It's only for Adelaide

      • Doesn’t Adelaide actually have 10gbe to large areas?

Are you serious, contract for NBN or $99 for no contract in 2023?
    Where is the bargain?

  • I wasn't aware 17Mbps upload was a plan option from NBN.

    • They were quoting the typical evening speed. It's really 20Mbps upload.

      • It's really 20Mbps upload.

        It's really 17Mbps upload.

  • TIL RBE Internet
    Now how to forget.

    • Take another look at the monthly and contract pricing if you want to forget!

      Umm.
      Never?

    • You can get that speed, you're just paying a lot more :P

    • Wow, we are getting fked dry in Australia. How sad. The lucky country my ass lol

    • Singapore is only 50km across. Australia is 4000km across.

Think about how much it costs to set up the infrastructure between the two…

when will ever Aus reach this speed????

We have that speed, just not that price point.

      • We might be 4000km across but most people live in large cities. The problem in Australia is a lack of competition. A government's happy to see essential services (monopolies) turned into businesses and profits extracted.

Melbourne metropolitan area alone is bigger than Singapore

I think you are right in city size and infrastructure cost, but not sure if you have scrolled down to the bottom of the page, I am referring to 10 gpbs for residential use.

        • scrolled down to the bottom of the page

          I didn't see that… 😲

Check out all the inclusions too…

  • Internet here is a joke when it comes to price and speed.
Even a third world country has better pricing and speed.

Because they have much smaller areas to cover with their infrastructure.

      • True, with a higher population density, so more households and people per sq km.

  • Good luck in this market

Leaptel are cheaper and don't have contracts.

  • +3

    There is no deal here.

This is ripping people off. Contract is in 2023 is bad idea and then asking $99 is offensive.

  • +1

Do you offer any value adds?
    Static IP?
    Higher SLA?
    Longer support hours?
Anything to make you stick out?

  • +1

    Not a deal

    • +1

Ok you better not upvote it then.

      • Haha good pickup. Hard to touch the right button on the phone.. revoked!

  • +1

To contacts, we just say no.

  • +1

this is not a deal, far better deals to be had with month to month, no fees & no lockin contracts

  • +3

Not a bargain, Exetel has $53.99 for 50mbps for 6 months

  • probably another vocus reseller

  • A connection fee on the NBN? NBN doesn't charge them a cent (connection fee), but okay…

  • Hi All,

I want to thank you all for your feedback! Our company, which was founded in 2022, is in the process of fine-tuning our services, especially when it comes to providing internet to our newest customers. Your input has been heard, and I'm delighted to announce that, following discussions with our executives, we have decided to eliminate contract charges for all new connections.

So now you are on par with 90% of other NBN providers. Priced on the premium side.
What sets you / your company out from the rest?

These guys are interconnect networks, and their upstream providers are Host Universal and Swoop. Host Universal connectivity to the world is not great, Swoop not so bad, depends what they use for local peering. To be honest there is nothing here low quality network, https://bgp.tools/as/10080

Leaptel, Tangerine, Exetel give you a better deal and a better network.
