I think this is aimed toward females. If it is then the sizing will also be women specific.
Well that's a given.. Male sizes are basic S/M/L/XL etc which can vary from brand to brand moreso than from country to country and pant sizes are your waist size in inches.
Female sizes and fits are more complex.
Yeah. It's good to see a female specific measuring device. I hear that a lot of women get confused with sizes. Not their fault of course. Just something that happens when they are constantly being told that something is at least 9 inches long when it's really only about 6.

Do these things have measurement markings or just colour coding to size? I can't tell.
The one they showed doesn't seem to have measurement markings, just colours. You'd then have to translate that to the Asos colour key for women's sizes.
How can measuring tape be women or men oriented? That's like saying a ruler has gender bias.
Plenty of guys clothes are done by measurements because L, M , S, XL is different for each piece of clothing

What he means is that if it is a measuring tape as i have always thought measuring tapes were then its just mm, cm, M and occasionally has feet on it as well. I did not realise there were measuring tapes (or that they were called measuring tapes) but had other denominations / gender specific measurements instead of your standard metric system.
A blokes one would be great.
