  • while Dell is good, I don't think this is a good deal.

go for the hp listed earlier this week - IPS, 1440, 144hz, ultrawide, flat

They have different use cases, the HP is a gaming monitor with 165hz, this Dell is a productivity monitor with 65W USB-C PD.

      Both are good deals.

And its 100hz with better curvature.

        • and it's $120 less, and it's 2 years newer

@Averell: Inb4 IPS vs VA debate

            • @jackary: Ah, thanks.
At work I have that VA 34", at home I have a 27" 4K IPS. I like the one at home more, not sure whether because it's an IPS, or because it's 4K

@Averell: S2721QS? I bought it as a second screen and I ten to like it more hab tg Samsung wide screen I got due to its clarity

@Olli: I know you’re not replying to me, but I have a pair of S2721Q’s - same screen, just no height adjustment 😂

                  They’re great monitors!

@Olli: No, mine is U2720Q. Company gave it when Covid started. I have been using it as the main screen, and the laptop's as the 2nd one. My setup has only one single external screen.

Available on the Dell Factory outlet page for $609
    https://www.dell.com/en-au/outlet/refurbished-dell-34-curved…

Listed as "As new". I've bought two monitors from the Dell outlet store that were listed "As new" and both seemed brand new to me. Warranty is same as new too. The advantage over that HP monitor is only if you're after a single cable solution for a monitor + laptop setup.

the way Dell operates they cannot sell product as "new" if it left their factory or facility even for a day.

so if something got shipped somewhere and then returned, even if it was not unwrapped, it goes back to outlet
