It (g62) just got updated to android 13 as well. Bit late, but it got there. Great deal.

    • I have it since the pricing error with jb hi fi, haven't had any issues with it. For the 200$ does everything I want, gcam works on it also..

  • Delivery $16 for me.

  • Relevant comments restored from insufficient quantity thread.

    They ending support for these?

    shxhshzhz
G62 and Neo still have support left but it's Motorola, software support isn't their selling point, very cheap prices for the hardware is

    G82 not a bad phone either: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/motorola-g82-5g-6128gb-meteor…

    200$ or no deal !!!

    • -6

G82 was $200 almost a year ago. Should be $100 by now

      • +5

        That was a price mistake

        • Dozens of people bought them.

      • +7

hmm what in another 12 mths should be free? . there is a point when prices don’t drop and model just gets deleted.

        • +1

And 12 months after that. They pay you to take it.

          • +1

@xoom: And 12 months after that, you get to own the company.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Thats a strong HODL if there ever was one.

              • @xoom: But the company is in huge debt because it paid customers to take its products

                • @FireRunner: I think you are missing the joke.

But at risk at ruining the joke further. See below.

Item priced $200 12 months ago.
Someone expects drop by half 12 month later.
                  Then free 12 months later.
Then they pay you to take the phone 12 months after.
You get offered CEO of company for taking the phone 12 moths after.
12 months later you now own the company because you get the phone then.

TL;DR extrapolating on customers way too high of an expectation.

                  • +1

@xoom: I understood it. I thought I'd a layer to the joke by giving motivation for someone to give a free company but I guess my attempt fell flat

  • so which of the 3 phones will have longest lifespan for android versions and security patches ?

    • Neo

      • +1

thks , will get as a spare phone ….oppo battery isn’t what it used to be ….

    • They all wont be great

  • Does edge 30 neo compete with pixel 6a?

    • +2

      The camera certainly won't.

    • +2

6a has a faster chip and much better camera.

    • +2

Nah. But the Neo (which I got last deal) is a stupidly good phone for the money.
Nice clean android, and the moto extensions are unintrusive and useful (love double karate chop to turn on torch).
Only disappointment was going from a big screen phone down to 6 inch.
Given I take newb photos typically under mediocre light the camera hasn't been too disappointing.
The test snaps I took in store at JB on the 6a were also meh - just a slightly better class of meh.

Given the 6a is just a couple of hundred more and would serve you well for at least a couple of years, it's a good deal.
But there's a lot to like about the Neo, and it's also a good deal - just in a different way.

      • +2

Couple of hundred more? It's 339, that's about 50 bucks

        • Where is it 339? I've seen it down to $399 in stores.

          • +1

@reptilescorpio: Via Google's online store using the student beans code, might have expired but It worked for a whole month and had hundreds of upvote, you must have been under a rock (or maybe just blocked some posts).

The only issues for me with the 6a are no headphone jack and no dual sim, the former isn't hard to work around with a short cable but the latter requires you to have esim, so depending on your provider and the frequency you change it could be a no go. The battery is probably worse too but it would easily get me through a day.

The benefit is you have an A class camera and processing which probably none of the Motorola's have, and that's still the primary driver for people upgrading. Who would have thought that 25 years after Nokia put a camera on a phone this would still be the case

            • @Jackson: You said "it's 339" which generally would mean an active deal, not one that is expired. If it was still active I could recommend the Pixel 6a over the Neo right now.

EDIT: Agree on the no headphone jack issue. Frustrating that so many are skipping it still and yeah the camera on the Neo is average at best, well below the 6a.

        • Seems to be 449 at Telstra atm, 495 most other places.
The 399 deal at Google has been gone for some time.

          • @Roddi: The deal is current, they just sold out of stock. It's Google so they should get more, if you are lucky before the deal finishes. You can join a waiting list and try you luck

      • I bought the 6a for 336 so it's been sitting in my drawer, but not sure if I want to keep it. So there isn't a much price difference for my between these two

    • It has a better display and likely better battery life, but worse than the 6a in terms of camera and software support.

  • G62 oos

  • +1

Chargers coming in the box is not a rarity. It is very common and non negotiable in a whole lot of countries. It is only an Apple and Samsung thing. As long as we are obsessed with iphones and galaxies these companies will keep taking us for a spin and we would have no choice but to hop on.

    • And google now also

  • +1

That's a great price on the G32. I bought mine for $240 a year ago and it is noticeably faster than my previous phones at that price point. It can be unlocked (takes a few days wait - a motorola thing) and runs systemless root to allow privacy apps like XPrivacyLua atop LSPosed and Magisk, with GPay still working.

    • Thanks bought G32, this one seems to be unlocked only.

      • Sorry i meant bootloader unlocked.

  • Neo looks great, though wireless charging rate is meh.
Except i can't find one with 256gb internal storage anywhere :-(

  • the E32 is dual sim ?

    • yes it is!

  • This does seem like an interesting deal.

Maybe it is just me - I haven't come across a single person with a Motorola phone. Reviews and reviews but haven't met even one moto phone owner.

Now the question - can we clone apps on this phone ?

    • Well hello there. I have a motorola edge 20 fusion. Now you have come across someone with a motorola phone.

      • Thanks Mate !! can we clone apps on all moto phones? especially the latest models ?

    • Been using only moto's for like 5 years. Mainly bcos of large batteries, charging speeds and bang for buck. No complaints. Currently on a g82.

      • My mothers phone is a motorola. Just forgot which model as its been a while since i bought her that phone.

      • -1

Cool story, I’ve been using the same phone for 5 years.

iPhones last a long time so great bang for buck.

  • G32 is a good deal, no point going with E32 as with just $26 more you get double the storage and fast charging capability. Also do not forget 4% cashrewards, got it for ~$152 delivered.

  • iPhone 15 due soon

    LOL

    • -2

Just buy $200 iPhone will smoke these

      • +2

LOL $200 iPhone. Next one barely gonna be under $2000

Also, it was a joke bro! Calm down. You aren't Apple so you don't need to take it personally

How does it compare to the $89 Realme C3 phone you posted? LOL

        • -7

the iPhone SE 2 is ~200 will beat most android flagships lol

it’s about 4 times faster than the c3 lol
but back then used iPhones weren’t that good

          • @abctoz: LOL delusional. You must be old (50+)

The Pixel 7 Pro won 'phone of the year' from more of the major tech blogs/reviewers last year than the iPhone so it seems even flagship iPhones aren't better

Those people know a lot more than you too

              • @abctoz: Phone of the year last year was Pixel 7 Pro, not iPhone

Benchmarks are irrelevant metrics. Any flagship has more than enough power for whatever people need

It's like saying one car is better than another based on max speed alone. Just a dumb argument

                • @jay889344: Delusional

                  • @abctoz: Yes you are bud

                    • @jay889344: I’m saying you’re delusional

You rather trust reviewers over benchmarks

                      • @abctoz: LOL you're a fool. You just post your rubbish everywhere and get downvoted to oblivion because it's so dumb.

If you think it's all about benchmarks, you're clueless and beyond help

Move on bro and go copy/paste your dumb stuff on more threads

                        • @jay889344: downvotes doesn’t invalidate my statements, your argument is weak and doesn’t refute what I say in anyway

                          being obnoxious doesn’t win arguments

                          • @abctoz: LOL you're a clown 😂

You should really get a job. 1500+ comments in Ozbargain mostly all saying the same dumb thing

                            Talk about wasting your life

Blocking your dumb a$$ now so my feed gets better

                            • @jay889344: I see you’re desperately trying to win an argument, all you really have to do is disprove my geekbench scores

which is a task most people rationally conclude is not possible… you on the other hand

                              • @abctoz: LOL I don't need to disprove that. No one claims best phone based on benchmarks. LOL clown

Pixel 7 - 2022 phone of the year, benchmarks didn't win it for iPhone sadly because iOS is feature deprived trash that is basically Android minus 5 years so all that processing power for nothing. Haha. Just git widgets last year didn't you and they're so limited on iOS whilst Android has had them for well over a decade much more full featured

Anyway, later bro. You're a waste of time

                                • @jay889344: it’s almost like arguing against facts is a waste of time

  • G62
    Memory (RAM) 4GB?

  • G32 looks OOS now? Ordered the E32 instead for my parents

  • Can I root any of these to run a call recorder that works properly ?

  • -1

Motorola is the worst phone ever used !
    Got the G62 5g and it's rubbish !

    • +4

it would help ppl if u can tell why eh?

    • What was wrong with the G62?
The Edge series is an improvement over the G series. It could also be a faulty phone. I had to return the Edge 30 which was faulty.
I've had several Motorolas and prefer this brand. Family also used iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S, LG and Nokia phones.

    • wonder why you say so ? the specs look alright though.

      I

  • Anyone have any idea how to transfer apps and data to Motorola edge 30 ultra? Is there an app

    • When setting up the edge 30, it asked me to plug the USBC cable into my old phone (a moto on android 11) and the edge 30 (android 12), and it copied across apps and data. I could select the apps I wanted.
Today I got a Lenovo M10 Plus (android 12) and the same happened.
So maybe android will take care of it all for you without a specialised app?

  • "One or more products can't be delivered to your location.""

    wut?

    • Oos

      • OK thanks. :(

Don't really need one right now so I guess I'll wait 12 months for the 40 Neo to go on sale. :)

        • +1

Just needs to exist in australia first 😂
