Craftright 435mm Black and Orange Tool Box $8.95 (was $11) + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ Bunnings Warehouse

780

Picked up this little box yesterday. Don’t know how to look up price history but the 330mm one is $8, so it is definitely a deal. I was going to get a tool bag, but realised you can’t stack bags easily… Box it is!

I know the brand isn’t much, but it feels somewhat sturdy. The little compartments on the lid are perfect for little drill bits and whatnot.

  • I got given one of these as a gift a while ago, they are pretty good. Worth it for the price IMO

Maybe it's just me, but I've never had a toolbox with plastic latches that lasted much more than 12 months.

    • Meanwhile the plastic clips on my box that holds the metal latches snapped on mine.
Just bought a bag so see how it goes.

    • Yeah, the toolbox is good, but my latches also broke after a year and a bit.
      It needs metal clips.

    • I've tried these for >12 months.
Don't rely too much on the top containers with transparent lid)
Don't put too many heavy power tools inside of it.

All the problems will plastic are as expected, so you should treat it as such.

Quite good for storing art materials. Spills are contained, if brushes aren't 100% dry - no problem.
Blades for craft/Stanley knives are safely held in a lid compartment, likewise erasers in another.

For just under $9, why not for a few things rather than a cardboard box. If you are looking for some other storage organisers, Supercheap has some on special, picked up a few things from there this morning.

I had my tools in a cardboard box for a while, it became harder to move around as the tools accumulated. Also can’t leave them outside for too long before families of insects move in.

The drawer ones from SCA looks good tho, could also trigger my OCD… Used to spend a lot of time to sort things then never touch them hahaha Missed the last good deal on little drawers, praying to the toolbox god and waiting for another deal ☺️

  • Good deal. Trying OnePass delivery now with no limit. Only problem: I like to pay via PayPal and this is currently broken on their site.

I actually have this one, usually use the metal ones but decided to get one a while back for the most common tools. It's actually reasonable and easy to use. Only problem is the compartments above the lid don't close very tight so sometimes when opening the lid quickly, the compartment opens up, so better to put light small items in there only.

Might get a few more, so can have one for each specific job (i.e. plumbing, electrical, woodwork etc.)

  • I use one at work. I'm in ICT, so don't store too much in it but definitely helpful.

  • don't need little box

    need big box

this box not suitable for my big box needs

I got this and it holds a lot of things

A box is a box I suppose but I personally wouldn't pay even $5 for this.

The way the handle is built into the box means that not only is the toolbox not waterproof (holes where the handle is attached to the lid), the recess the handle sits in works as a collector to funnel water into the box through those holes. I learned this the hard way.

    Something to be aware of.

I confirm these are really good for the DIY handyman

  • Saw similar to these in Silly Solly's yesterday for $5.00.
