TCL C845 4K Mini LED 55" $1390, 65" $1775, 75" $2580 + Delivery (Free to Select Cities) @ Appliance Central

300

I've been searching for a TV and saw these in store at my local HN during a sale. Picture was very nice, in my opinion. And after a look it is apparently very well reviewed.

Decided to do a quick search on google and staticice before pulling the trigger and found this pricing which was much cheaper than current prices in store.

Price is decent but if you need a tv now then go for it. Black Friday sales usually have OLED tv around this price last year.

    • I don't think this cheap, OLED would be 42" for $1300, 55" for $1700 I think.

Saw this price yesterday but wasn't sure whether to post. No one else has the 75" on sale/ below $3k

I'll wait for black friday, but not counting on actually finding a good deal then either.

    • +1

Yeah the jump in price is crazy, was looking at the 75 as well and its 3200 in store

Just wait imo. The 75" was selling at less than 2k. Last November

      • +1

I'll wait, I just hope there'll be sales on 75/85 inch TVs during November

      • +3

That's the previous model. Its the C835 which i bought then. This one is the C845.

        • +2

Doesn't discount the fact that TV usually go on big sales twice a year. One near eofy and near or on Black Friday sales. If you can wait the better for your wallet.

          • @ChickenAdobo: Yeah that's true. Personally I'd wait for it to drop in price. The same thing happened with the c835. But then again the prices were all over the place. It was selling for close to double that price at the same time it was discounted. So yeah just wait for the sales.

Nothing special about this pricing at all compared to what has been posted previously and $90 more for the 65” than was posted a week ago from the same store.

Good TV though but better off waiting for an actual sale price.

I apologise I thought I did a look before posting. Sorry for the repost, will delete.

      • +6

No need to delete it, just posted the comment for people to be aware of.

  • Those in VIC can pick up a refurbished 55inch TCL C835 (2022 model) for $759.10 from this eBay trader. Also mini-LED and very well reviewed. I'm in NSW and they don't deliver otherwise I would have definitely pulled the trigger.

or you get a brand new one for $100 more https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255818034031?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

      • +8

Definitely the extra $100"for new is preferred. No usage, no chance of dodgy refurbished unit just fixed enough for now but will go downhill quickly.

Good luck with warranties/reairs on refurbished units compared to new units. Not worth hassle to save $100, wait for deal on new.

  • Is there a good OLED TV you guys would recommend waiting on?
Looking for something reasonably nice in the 55-65" range.

    • Same looking for something around 60-70inches and apparently I've seen people always talk about the LG C2/C3 and that's it.

    • Check out price histories for Samsung S90/S95b (some quality control issues so it is a slight gamble but if you get a good one its amazing. Lg c2 and Sony a80k are all good picks from last years models. That if are $2000 or less for 65" you should pull the trigger!

      • Samsung's S95B OLED 65" is currently around $1450 with education or government account. It's constantly out of stock but they do get limited amounts back in, think it runs until the end of the month.

Anyone wanting an OLED should be refreshing that page a couple of times a day to see if they get lucky!

        • Oooo I have not seen those deals pop up at all lately on Ozbargain

          • @Savvy shopper1111: Yeah they're usually out of stock so I don't know what the protocol is for that haha. There was some good deals recently and I was chasing one of the QLEDs, so I know they definitely do restock. But like 99% of the time it's out of stock.

        • I have never seen any TV's restock on the Gov store. I check it on a daily basis multiple time.

          • @Regie69: I was after a QN90B during the previous discount and saw 55", 65", and finally 75" came back in stock before a grabbed the 75" and that was roughly 3 weeks ago. When I saw the stock come back, it was gone an hour later.

            • @Ranike: Well done that's the one I was chasing all month, I actually saw it on sale and in stock (had in my cart even) went to lunch, and someone had posted it on here. I was spewing.

              • @Regie69: Ah unlucky! I saw the 65" come in stock at like 8pm one time. It's unfortunate the stock alert doesn't work.

            • @Ranike: how much was the qn90b 75er?

  • What are the big differences between this and previous model?

    • was just in TGG - 845 menu seemed alot more responsive/quick.
They wern't right next to each other but the screen seemed brighter on the 845 (could of been settings/sell mode etc)

    • +5

Peak brightness (550nts vs 2000nts) and localised dimming zones (240 vs 480).. the higher numbers belonging to the c845..

  • +2

Slightly better pricing at BuySmarte on the 55 and 65.

  • +1

55 was 1290 here not long ago, price seems to fluctuate at this mob a bit

  • +3

Got the 75" for under $2000 in July

    • how is it?

    • 75c845?? That seems very cheap so soon.

and I just sold the soundbar on marketplace, for the same price I bought it for.

Provided a review in that above thread also, for those interested.

        • wow, will definitely wait for this deal again. Hopefully they do it again.

  • +1

I have the 55 inch and its awesome for everyone wondering, great for TV gaming @4K 120hz and media consumption. An underated feature is the built in speakers, better many some soundbars

  • Every time I see deals from this place it drives me nuts. $204 delivery, yet a 20 min walk down the road is free delivery. Will the 75" fit in a Woolies trolley? :D

Was doing some further homework on these TV's as keen to purchase soon. Happened to stumble upon an upcoming promotion…..
    https://tclpromotions.com.au/the-offer
