  • Can anyone comment if it's worth upgrading from the 5500 to 5600?

Also up the ram from 16 to 32?

    • +4

The 5500 stands its ground in this configuration but the 5600 will provide better FPS in games that want a bit of extra juice from the CPU.

If you have the spare cash, its a solid upgrade, especially when combined with the B550M-E Wifi motherboard upgrade to unlock Gen 4 PCIE

The RAM upgrade is not strictly necessary for all games but many modern games are recommending 32GB of ram.

If you are running a lot programs at the same time and need/like to switch between them a lot, the extra RAM will help heaps.

    • 5600 is ~10% faster depending on the benchmark. Depends on what you're playing. If it's a graphically intensive game it's more likely that your bottleneck would be the gpu here. For the ram I'd upgrade it myself after the fact and sell the old sticks to make a few bucks back.

  • Dang we got one of these for my son a couple weeks ago for his birthday before the price drop/upgrades but super quick delivery to Perth by Enigma and it runs extremely well, can't complain at all and he's stoked :)

    • Glad to hear he is enjoying it!

Hi Op, any stock or deals coming up with AMD GPUS like RX6700XT/6800/6800XT?
    Thanks

    • +3

Stock for previous gen AMD GPUs is practically non existent, I wouldn't expect them to be making a comeback any time soon.

  • +1

    Hi OP,
Can i get this without the RGB case and lights..?

    • We can disable all the RGB for you, just add it to your order comments!

  • I need a new PC but i don't game. This might be an overkill… Is there something for non gamers?

    • +4

youll have to be more specific with regards to what you intend to do on the pc

      • Mostly for work… Programming, sometimes watching YouTube etc.

        • +1

You can get some great deals on ex-office reurb HP and Dell PCs on eBay. Look for Optiplex and Prodesk systems.

    • +5

Shoot us a live chat and let us know your use case, we may have some cheaper non gaming focused PCs that we can give you a great price on!

    • Dude, You can just do the same build except use the Ryzen 5 with inbuilt graphics card and no GPU (Save $500). Will be fine for office although it might be a bigger case with this one.

  • +1

Shipping should be $88, the more eights the better

    • +4

This is OZBargain mate, so I'd say shipping 'could have been' $8.88 as per your logic

    • Hmm better to be $0.88.

There is strictly limited stock on this deal as this stock was secured before the recent exchange rate turbulence. Once its gone, its gone!

Haha. That's turbulence.. - what would you call recent fuel price hikes. 1 AUD = 0.64 USD, the avg isn't far off. I prefer the term profiteering. Business always hikes prices but rarely drops them when they should. Best to avoid bringing up non sense in deal posts.

    • +16

Can't speak for other businesses but we actually dropped our price vs last time. If we wanted to profiteer, we would have increased our price and blamed the dollar.

        • +6

The intention was not marketing but rather to let people know our prices are going to be going up in the near future as stock on hand is replaced with more expensive stock.

          Appreciate the kind words!

  • +4

You guys are absolutely smashing it out of the park for value. I wish you long success in this cut-throat industry!

    • +2

      Thanks! We try :)

  • Thx for you help OP ordered :)

    • Does this Pc needs more fan?

      • 3 case-fans should be enough: League of legends game is low resource game.

You only need max. 144 FPS for a 'Silky Smooth' gaming, assuming that you have a high refresh rate gaming-monitor & hence may want to cap your FPS…any more frames produce by the system is wasted effort.

  • Will this run cities skylines

  • What are people's thoughts on moving from a 2080ti build to this?

Sort of a side-grade, but it'd mean I can sell my 2080ti pc now for a better price second hand while it holds higher value than in say another couple years when I might be able to afford a stronger build.

    • Go with whatever makes you more money I guess, also depends on the rest of your current components like cpu. If you only want to sell off your gpu then you can just buy a gpu standalone.

      • Thanks! It's a 4 year old build from tech fast so my thoughts were to part with the entire thing and get a whole new build. At least this way I'm only committing somewhere around $900 so there's less room for the price to fall!

        • I dont think you are getting an upgrade.

The upgrade from 20XX cards to 30XX card is relative minor. And you are going from top line 2080TI to pretty bottom of 3060TI

          https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

          You actually losing "performance"

I would not even consider buying this deal if i was you.

I value my 9600K CPU+1080 GPU around 700-800 dollars. so your PC with 2080TI should worth much more, blind guess easily over 1,000 dollars, i dont understand why would you want to buy this build.

If you are not confident changing PC part yourself, you should look into a 2000 dollar ish Prebuild PC with probably 4070 or 4070 TI graphics card, and sell your current one.

          • @jenesis33: What you said is valid. However these days I believe if it's for gaming only it's better to get PS5 or Xbox one for longevity.

PCs just dont last max 4-5 years for a top 2k machine you buy now.

Cheap subscription and games with consoles are the way to go now me thinks

          • +1

@jenesis33: Your 9600k and 1080 probs worth 500 bucks tops

            • @Canberralad92: Fair enough I only did a quick search on the net for similar item thanks for the info

  • That pic with the led lit fan reminds me of the Jaeger robot in Pacific Rim

  • Is there enough space to fit a pcie wifi card?? much thanks.

    • We have a PCIE wifi card option in the wifi/bluetooth section, if your selected components cause incompatibility with the card we offer, it will automatically be hidden and prevent you from selecting it

      • Thanks. I will check. The website seems to be struggling under ozbargain load…. :)

"By deselecting shipping insurance, we are not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items."

I would have expected this to be included in the shipping price.

  • Hi Op,

Does it come with Windows OS installed?
I was about to buy this, but it said
"The default configuration of this build does not include any operating system. This means you are responsible for to installing your own operating system or the PC will not work. If you would like us to install an operating system, please choose the appropriate option below."

To use window OS, Do I need to purchase Window Home OS for $139?

    • yes. Or provide ya own windoze using other methodz.

    • Correct, If you would like us to install windows you will need to purchase a windows key from us via the options available. This means your PC will ship with activated windows.

If you do not purchase a windows key and opt for no operating system you will need to install windows or your prefered operating system yourself

      • Can you install a copy of Windows 11 pro non activated then i will sort out myself?

        • Unfortunately we are unable to install and ship unactivated windows

Can this run Genshin impact in 4K ultra? in 30 fps or more?

  • Any good workstation deals for cheap? This should do ok though?

    • Shoot us a live chat, we can get you sorted out on workstation focused PC :)

  • I'm trying to figure out the difference between this one and https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/797466

    • Performance is fairly similar, but the other deal has PCIE Gen 4 and is on a enthusiast chipset where as this one is on a B chipset. It also has some more USB ports that are faster and a full size ATX motherboard.

      The deals are very similar

  • @enigmapc Is macube 110 black or white case going to be back in stock any time soon?

    • We no longer hold stock of the black and white macube but we can get one for you, just shoot us a live chat and we can get you a quote :)

  • Anyone know about the suitability of these machines for heavy AI processing? More precisely I'm looking at using whisper.cpp to do lots of dirty audio to text processing.

Just ordered 1. Hopefully it arrives within 10 days in time for my son's graduation. 🙂

  • would anyone be able to comment on the noise level and power consumption of this machine?

thinking of getting one for WFH and casual gaming

    • +1

Idle noise on the base build is quiet.

If you want quiet operation on medium to high loads we recommend getting the AG400 air cooler

Power consumption is very low, at maximum power usage (which is something you will only hit in synthetic benchmarks or on productivity workloads such as rendering etc.) is maximum 330W

Thanks to Ryzen 5000 this machine is extremely power efficient

Hey all, looking for some input as I'm planning on getting a new PC. My current one is pretty old, and I built it myself and kind of wish I didn't as I didn't really know much about the components I was choosing.

Current PC specs (don't laugh, have been using this for years):
    MB - Asus M5A97 R2.0
    GPU - ROG Strix RX570
    CPU - AMD FX6300
    RAM - ADATA XPG 2x8GB

Looking at this Aurora deal but customising to the following through the options available:
    MB - ASUS TUF B550M-E
GPU - GIGABYTE Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC Pro 8GB
    CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600
RAM - Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 32GB
    COOLING - DeepCool AG400

Leaving the other core options as-is. Would this be a good range of customisations to make? Is the GPU going to have some longevity?

Usage-wise, I want to game just in 1080p at high settings, and be able to play current and hopefully future games at a decent framerate. Also need to use it for Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign.

    Cheers!

    • @enigmapc I know you guys have a vested interest as the seller, but honestly what do you think?

    • +4

      Hi @Flamo,

If I were you, personally I would only upgrade the CPU from 5500 to 5600 (although IMHO $80 upgrade cost will not give you the same amount of cost/frame)
However, I am definitely not paying $169 to upgrade from B450 to B550.

I understand 5500 and B450 both doesnt support PCIE-4 but at this upgrade cost, its better to keep the original build as it is. AM4 is a dead platform BTW and pairing 3060ti with 5500/B450 won't be a bad choice, it should be able to play any AAA games at 1080p in mid-high settings.

And please dont bother paying $35 for the GPU model upgrade. Maybe consider the $20 upgrade option for the 3 fan Gigabyte OC variant, as this has three fans, it should run quieter and cooler than the two fan variants.

Also do you really need 32GB RAM? 16GB is enough for Gaming PC. Again the upgrade cost of $115 is too much, you could just buy 32GB RAM separately for the same price.

CPU cooler upgrade for $60 is also too expensive for me. I'd keep the stock CPU cooler unless you are planning to overclock.

What I am trying to say, with all these upgrade price, you are now paying $888 + $80 + $35 + $169 + $115 + $60 = $1347 which you could invest in a different and much better pre-built when available.

Note: If you are not PC savvy and not sure how to upgrade parts yourself then I would recommend either stick with the below upgrades (CPU and GPU only) or look for another pre-built for $1300-$1400 range as your upgrade cost will reach to that budget anyway.

      1. Upgrade CPU to 5600 if you really want.
      2. Keep the B450 motherboard, if you really want PCIE gen4 then buy B550 motherboard separately (it will be cheaper) and sell your B450 motherboard afterwards. The $169 upgrade cost is not worth it.
      3. Upgrade to the 3 Fan Gigabyte OC for $20 extra
      4. Keep the 16GB RAM, if you need 32GB in future then either buy another 16GB RAM or upgrade to 32GB separately.
      5. Keep Stock CPU Cooler
      6. Keep everything else as it is

I hope my explanation makes sense.

      • +1

Hey thanks for the reply Bappy!

I ended up going for it with the customised specs I posted (bought yesterday before your reply). Sorry haha.

I'm happy to pay extra for not having to source the upgraded components myself and to me the extra money will be worth it.

I have maxed out the 16gb ram before when I'm working, so I think the 32gb will be helpful for that.

I live in Rockhampton and we are expecting a shitful Spring/Summer, so hopefully the upgraded CPU cooler and GPU with more fans will help keep temps low enough.

I checked a few different Aussie prebuilt PC companies and out of all the ones I looked at, this PC was the best value in that price range in terms of components.

We are also now in a hurry as the main PC I use for work that this will replace is rapidly dying! Sometimes it doesn't boot at all, and I just had a kernel trap BSOD error.

Hopefully the new PC doesn't take too long to arrive!

        • +1

No worries, I am sure you will enjoy your new PC

          • @Bappy: Hi Bappy

What is "3 fan Gigabyte OC variant, as this has three fans"?

Is that under GPU? it says OC 8GB DDR

  • Anybody got their order yet? How is this company in terms of customer service? Ordered last week and asked about status but not impressed with lack of response after more than 2 working days (not counting weekends). I don't mind waiting as long as I get a response from queries. I got one from Techfast previously and had better experience despite the wait.

    • Hey Mate, We don't seem to have any outstanding tickets from customers so we may have missed yours, please send us another email to [email protected] and we will be happy to provide an update on your order :)

      • Just sent an email. Also reached out via direct message here and waited a day before I posted in this public forum. I don't think I got a response either.

        • We don't monitor private messages on ozbargain, but we have received the email you sent today and we have responded

      • I seem to have been missed as well. Email sent.
