      Officeworks does. I was able to purchase the $500 variable load cards last year by loading my $100 Home GCs onto Google Pay.
      This loophole has now been closed.

      JB Hi-Fi is limited to $200 max denomination, which completely sucks.

    Transaction failed on multiple cards when trying incognito mode desktop PC. Then I tried on my phone using data and it went through (actually popped up with a bank confirmation requiring a netcode to be inputted); got the giftcards (500 x 3) within 5 minutes.

    If i want to buy iphone15 than i gonna try to buy 4 cards[500*4]. The problem is jb hifi allow only one transaction per order means i can use only one ultimate gift card. Really appreciate if someone clarify on this.

      Today morning, the 3rd one got automatically cancelled.

        Waited 24 hours and the 3rd went through fine for me but the 4th got cancelled automatically (tried twice).

        So forwarded the cancellation email to [email protected] asking if anything can be done about it. Should hopefully hear back from them tomorrow.

          Well this is the reply I got back however I kept trying and managed to get one each last couple of days. So if it gets automatically cancelled maybe try again the next day.

          Unfortunately we are unable to accept pre-paid visa cards through our online store, if you would like to continue with your purchase, you will need to do this in-store.

          This is due to high velocity of purchases in a short period of time and each will continue to decline, especially as different pre-paid cards are being redeemed.

    Question: it looks like you need to "activate" the gift card with your details before you can use it. So does that mean if I haven't yet activated my gift cards, they can't possibly get hacked? I assume they don't exist before activation? That way I could just wait until I'm going to use them before activating.

    Saw a post about coles gift cards getting hacked and now it has me a little worried

      They can use their details to activate your card, because your name and email address are not linked to this card.

    Huge amount of effort but finally done.

    FF card would not work on PC or mobile but debit card worked on the laptop.

    Swapped 1 card for a JB gc and stacked the $30 perks coupon and got the DJI Action 4 adventure combo for $670.65. Solid deal and just in time for upcoming trip. Thanks for the tips guys and good luck to those still trying.

        Online you can enter the Ultimate GC as a credit/debit card and for the cardholder name use your name. Afaik the max allowed is 1 Ultimate GC per order and 2 JB GC exchanges per day (24 hours).

            So forwarded the cancellation email to [email protected] asking if anything can be done about it. Should hopefully hear back from them tomorrow.

            Afaik there was a max 5 JB GC limit online but I think that's no longer the case. I can't find anything in their terms and conditions about any limit.

          Everytime I do that, it says order complete. And I receive an email from JB HIFI saying "Your order has been cancelled. Unfortunately, your recent order of $500.00 has failed our verification process and been cancelled."

        An earlier commenter mentioned using a different JB account, receiver email, IP and still getting a cancellation. Only thing they didn't change was the mobile number. I wonder what info Riskified is actually matching.

    I’m new to all this… If I buy a gift card worth say $300 to use at JB Hifi (online) to pay for something that costs more than $300, can I use the gift card then pay the remaining balance with my credit card? (I don’t know the final price of the item I’m buying yet).

      No.

      The Ultimate gift cards in this deal are prepaid gift cards that operate on the Visa network, and JB Hi-Fi only lets you redeem a maximum of 1x debit/credit/prepaid card per transaction on the JB Hi-Fi website. In other words, it is impossible to use an Ultimate gift card and a credit card in the same online transaction.

      There are two workarounds (which you can read more about here):

      • Convert your Ultimate gift card into a JB Hi-Fi gift card (and that requires some effort and patience). You can pay the remainder using a credit card or another Ultimate gift card or a JB Hi-Fi gift card.

      • Use your credit card to purchase a JB Hi-Fi gift card to cover the difference between the order cost and the Ultimate gift card value.

          As per the FAQ in the wiki:

          JB Hi-Fi’s point-of-sale system will allow multiple Ultimate gift cards to be redeemed in one instore transaction, and there is no known limit built into the system. The OzBargain record is currently 81.

          However, redeeming multiple Ultimate gift cards in a transaction will only be allowed at the discretion of the staff member operating the checkout. Although JB Hi-Fi staff usually permit multiple cards to be used in most transactions, staff may choose to not allow the redemption of multiple Ultimate gift cards, especially if a gift card (e.g. JB Hi-Fi gift card, Apple gift card, Google Play gift card) is being purchased in the transaction.

        Yeah I bought 4 gift cards totalling $1,649 and added them to my apple wallet.
        Then went in store and asked to pre-order. Said I had pre-paid credit cards and I paid $500 on 3 and the remainder on the last one.

      Try Chrome on either your desktop/laptop or mobile (doesn’t have to be incognito). It’s the only browser that worked with my CBA debit Mastercard and CBA Visa Credit Card.

      Prompts for SMS/NetCode and confirmation email arrived within minutes. actual GIft Card arrived 2.5 hours later, but instead of swapping on their site just bought a JB gift card on the JB website using the Ultimate gift card as full payment.

    Anyone having issues with using the Ultimate home at Total tools? I have loaded it up on my Apple Pay but it declines on the eftpos machine. They also tried manually entering the card number in but no luck.

      Running until the 26th, last I saw it wasn't showing on their main site but if you click through the links in the table in the OP they should work (did for me 5 minutes ago).

      Doesn't seem to work in some browsers though, I had to use safari on my phone - would not work in edge or chrome for me
