Bamboo Toilet Paper - 48 Double Length Rolls $52.80 (20% off) + Delivery ($0 to Most Areas) @ Who Gives a Crap

813
BAMBOO20

The company is called "Who Gives a Cr@p". The company rarely discounts and the code should apply at cart across the product range. There is also 2.1% shopback.

The company say they use renewable and sustainable bamboo and the company claims 50% of profits are donated. Seems pretty worldly to me. Read more here on their impact to earth: https://au.whogivesacrap.org/pages/our-impact

100% money back guarantee. Carbon neutral shipping. For skeptics of the claims, it would pretty much ballpark with other TP brands you source at your local TP provider.

In a jiffy, it feels more like Quilton than Kleenex but stronger than both based on folding three sheets and giving yourself a wipe. Your experience may differ but let's just say Earth had never reached Uranus, unlike other TP brands. No concerns about leaving behind an asteroid belt.

Let the cr@p jokes begin…it's only Wednesday.

Former Kleenex CompleteRipple loyalist, very impressed with this TP, the centre roll is sturdy, you can whip off sheets in a flash at low friction and high speed. Speed up that duce drop.

  • what a crappy deal

I love their recycled TP. It's one of the easiest ways for me to help contribute to the environment.
Have been using it for years and love it.

    • What about carbon footprint effect on the environment, shipping a product from China that is readily made and available here?

        Yep that’s a point I haven’t considered.

Do you have any locally produced AUS brands I could switch to for recycled TP?

Also I would’ve thought using recycled paper would offset the carbon impact of a boat/plane compare to deforesting

I, purely by luck, received a 48 roll carton from these guys about 5 days before lockdown and the toilet paper riots of 2020. So whatever people may think about the company or their product, they saved at least one family from potential violence and disaster.

I use recycled toilet paper from Woolies (iCare or Naturale, both Australian), but tried the bamboo ones at cafe toilets and they felt better quality than my recycled ones.

Anyway, I'm here to weigh in on carbon offsets.

People can mention how garbage or junk carbon offsets are, sure, however, the cynicism doesn't mean we should do nothing or that this company is bad.

Carbon offsets aren't always well regulated, but purchasing them is better than not - at least they make the effort and who knows? Maybe they've done their research on where to buy offsets.

For all we know, their production in China could be more efficient than the recycled tp made in Australia. We have no transparency on the other brands people are comparing Who Gives A Poo, apart from "it's made in Australia". Naturale, for example, honestly looks like it produces recycled paper just because there's a gap in the market (and that's okay!)

Yes it's marketing, but isn't everything?

  • As used by Kung Fu Panda. Or is that Kung Pu Panda?

    Chinese made imported Toilet paper.
So you also have the carbon footprint of importing this stuff from china as well as damaging Australian manufacturing jobs and businesses .

I prefer to support Australian made Toilet paper suppliers

Shame postage is $26 for 1 box to major rural NSW postcode, makes it a cr@p deal.

    • 8% cashback deal made it worthwhile for me still with the $8 shipping however i didn't notice the shipping price until after i paid!

We have these at work, not too bad but def not as plush as some others. Still, if some profits go to developing nations, why not, for a bit more. Bought 3 thx!

    Will last me 2 days
