      Just grab a iCloud+ subscription and use "Hide My Email" if you are using Apple devices. I've created over 150 alias email addresses. Never hesitated in revealing email since using this.

      It won't work on board the ship as maritime isn't covered. Also New Caledonia and Vanuatu are not on the list of countries.

      it was too long to use $5 roaming and also most of the time me and my wife were on separate location.

      Granted Japan has many free WIFI but the connectivity is garbage.

      Once activated it's good for 3 days according to the OP. I don't know how long the promo codes will be valid for but they end in 2023 so perhaps until the end of the year. You don't have to activate the esim immediately though.
