    • Seems like a reasonable thought you have there, at work we have monitors either horizontal or vertical depending on the tasks used on the screens. At home I have a 21:9 monitor and typically I have 2/3 dedicated to an application and 1/3 dedicated to reference documentation, or I am playing a game with a wide FOV.

  • Possible for 2 people to use seperate PC at the same time?

  • Missed the Gift Card 15% off :( Any other decent gift card deals to sweeten the deal?

  • Its a bit of a novelty to be honest.
I have the G9 and 90% of the time I have a 2560x1440 window open in the middle of the screen.
Gaming is good, but I'm pretty sure its just a stretched 21:9 image? can anyone confirm this?

    • Depends if a game will let you set the correct resolution and FOV

  • I've moved away for 49" ultrawides in favour of 34" oled for gaming and higher ppi alternatives. What would get me back as a customer is 32:9 240hz or 1600resolution. They're a nice novelty though if you are a single screen operator. Decent price tbh

  • Didn't get on the GC offer fast enough. Price match to OW instead? but not sure if this is the same model:

  • I use a 43" monitor and 2 x 24" for work (all at once). Looking to replace it with one large monitor.

I don't do gaming and don't need fancy resolution and features, just need a lot of real estate for multiple apps running at same time.

Any alternatives to this deal? I'm trying to get my head around dimensions, trying to figure out how many windows I can squeeze onto this monitor…

    • Note: I am happy to give up some real estate for a cleaner setup. I think my 43" inch is 3840 x 2160 and the 24s are just standard cheapies.

Trying to figure this out myself, but happy for any generous volunteers to help me crack it!

My personal experience.. but again depends on what type of work you do!

Don't go Ultrawide if your only aim is to use it for work.. others could barely see your screen when you share the screen on zoom/teams.

You have the pain of organising the windows all the time to split the screen.

Web pages don't stretch to the whole of the screen and you end up having smaller font in a fully restored window.

The only loveable thing is excel with it's wide area of cells.

Honorary mention - connecting to remote desktop/virtual machines - the "remote desktop zoom-in" issue is mitigated well.

Given that you have been using 24"s, you would not notice much of a difference in height while formatting word documents. I came from two 27"s, and the height gets me all the time when editing a word document!

      Hope this helps.

      • Awesome feedback, thanks

  • Hey Guys..

I intend to use it for work.. SQL, excel, word and web..

Can anyone comment on the overall text clarity., I know VA panels suck if it is for work, but anyone found it otherwise..?

    TIA.

    Z

    • I've been using this monitor for about two-three years, primarily for work (command line, documents, spreadsheets, scripting, etc) and had no issues with clarity. I would be interested to hear as to why VA panels aren't suitable for work.

  • damn, so keen on this but i already have a few Alienware 34s/38s , dont know where to fit them all :( . MY table would much prefer this one than the way i have multiple monitors on it right now :(

    • You could give them to me. :)

  • Anyone have this ship yet?
