I remember seeing the first stamp sized prototype OLED at CES 2000…I think it was. Might have been 2001. I assumed it was just around the corner. 25 (profanity) years, god damn.
Shipment start date will be from 2 June 2025
Any sites taking bets? Current experience with an LG monitor pre-sale is telling me they have no idea at all when they'll start shipping.
My 480hz OLED monitor was shipped over a month before the expected start date.
How do you demonstrate studentship?
By having a .edu.au email address
I'm confused on where to get education store?
if u search lg edu store you should find it, otherwise create lg account and go to /partners in the top, e.g: https://www.lg.com/au/partners/monitors/ultragear-gaming/?ec…
It is showing for $636~ on edu store rn for preorder again, $586 after first time discount.
I was having issues getting the $636, it was initially doing around $672 but clicking that link triggered a verification email prompt and, crucially, I opened that link on the browser I was doing to purchasing on. Before I opened the verification email link on my mobile but was doing the buying on my laptop, opening the verification link on my laptop gave me the correct price.
How did you get it down to $586.
Cheapest I manage is $624- same as last time
Its $636 on the edu store
OOS :(
Think its available for preorder again, unsure about the price
OOS after I made an account T_T
Think its available for preorder again, unsure about the price
OMG Thanks!!! I have been checking regularly and am so glad its back! Expected delivery says June, and education + welcome voucher seems to work
Should I be worried if I have an order confirmation but nothing under "my orders"?
Possibly.
I bought one last time, my credit card got charged but the order didn't go through. Had to contact LG then my bank to file a dispute on the charge. Clearly their web store is garbage
Thank you for sharing your experience! How did you find out your order didn't go through?
Was $572.99 per for edu, if you bought 2 tho. Couldn't stack the $50 with the buy 2 for 10% off sadly.
Edit: *per, *off
what's the difference between this and 27GS95QE-B?
Looks like it's RGB lighting behind the panel for aesthetics
Wow.
Anybody know if they gonna be back in stock or is the deal just gone foreva?
Gone
MAnnnnnnnnnnnn 😭
It's possible it could come back, was the same $699 after coupon early April

As for the edu discount, who knows other than Mr LG
Think its available for preorder again, unsure about the price
That's a good one. Lg makes the best.
Anyone reckon there will be 32inch 1440p OLED panels or nah?
doubt it as 27inch is the standard for 1440p usually
will these oled experience same dead pixel issue like their oled tv after couple of years?
Monitor is back in stock at the same price on the edu store with edu login $636.65 ($586.65 with extra $50 off using welcome code)
Deal wasn't changed back to in stock because mod/bot checked the non edu store price and thought price had gone up
I can add 8 of them to cart so I'm guessing there's 8 available. Edit: I can add 71 to cart now
my price on the edu store jumped to 674 btw
I just ordered one, and the price is still showing me as $636.65
Seems to have 67 left in stock, so deal should last a few hours at least
i checked again it was 674 for me weird (figured it out I was on the VIP store. not the edu one. refunded and got my coupon back :) )
@gamma09: Hi, I made the same mistake. Can you explain the process more on how you got the coupon back?
need to go through it again, i googled and accessed the EDU store and relogged in and it worked
Back in stock, bought two. thanks
Available for preorder again, same price
is there any 32 inch model available? I also heard a lot of negative comments from reddit on this model. Can anyone explain? Thx
Triple the price for 32 inch (32GS95UE-B). Review by rtings says it's one of, if not the best in class for gaming
$586.65
Am I dreaming if I can expect the same pricing for 4K 27” OLED 120hz - 180hz for any brand, sometime this year ???
Will up vote it just for the price, bring on $1K 32 OLED
OOS - no longer available.
I managed to preorder one just now, you can checking again if you’re still interested
yeah - I was about to come update my message.
I even called up and the team said "Sorry, this product is no longer available".
Managed to put an order in using the corporate store.
nice, I’m glad to hear you were able to get one also.
Just grabbed one. I thought I missed it when I checked yesterday but it was there again to order! $590 for an OLED at that spec is insane.
Just ordered one.
i saw a deal of Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 for $700 on second-hand marketplace, is it worth paying $114 extra for the qd-oled?
If I understand this right, $114 more for a used qd-oled? Nah
I called up LG Support and they told me that they start shipping out in June 16th then take 7-10 business days to deliver for this monitor.
Very tempted to buy, but I looked at a review saying that text clarity is quite bad.
Yeah most OLED have bad text clarity except the newer ones (mostly)
Who said that? One of those review sites or someone on Reddit who calls anything less than absolute perfection “bad”?
I’ve had the original revision of this monitor as my daily work monitor for 2 years and it has been excellent for me.
Any idea when this might be shipped?
My order changed from saying preorder to on hold…. Something is happening
Something good.. or bad??
wow… finally an acceptable price for an OLED monitor. Paid $1100 for mine.
