    F12–> network tab—> search for token—-> you should see 1 line.

      What update button? Are you meant to select the 30tb plan via the "upgrade" button then on the popup "change subscription for google one" window click "continue"?

        Actually need to find and click on "subscription?authuser=…" on the left to get the URL.

        The reason you got charged was because you weren't meant to accept the membership change in each step that had "without taking any further action" line, only select the option but don't proceed to making the change to the membership.
