Tried these after the last post and rave reviews. They’re certainly very crispy in AirFryer but both taste the same. No discernible flavour between them really. Still pretty good.

    • One is spicy and one is not.

      • +3

Honestly no. Neither of them are. There's definitely no Nashville spicy flavour whatsoever.

    • I agree, bought both bags for the first time from Coles last week, had both on the same plate, couldn't tell which was which as it all tasted the same.

That being said still a good product, not better than KFC tho

  • +1

KFC at home - Tegel's some seriously good stuff

    • +3

Interestingly at $20/kg how close is this to KFC prices

      • +3

ten tenders for $10. Give or take it's close. There's convenience associated with getting this out of freezer and popping it into the airfryer

  • Are these actual chicken tenderloins with coating, or that manufactured meat stuff that's made into a shape (more like a larger chicken nugget)?

    • +1

      64% chicken

      It'll be fine

Packaging does say chicken tenderloins are used

I'm sure OzBers who have actually eaten it before can attest to the quality of it; I am yet to try them.

      • Highly rated, better than the dirty bird (KFC)

    • Actual tenderloins. Same coating and seasoning as the bone-in portions.

  • those kiwis know what theyre doing

    • Kiwi is the illegal Tegel.

They were on half price last week at coles.

    • +3

Those were not the tenders (boneless), they were the chicken portions.

  • +4

    Very salty.

  • Nashville chicken is the hot 🔥 version

  • Well their boneless breast peices are amazing, a lot like KFC. I can image the tenders are great too, but I have not tried them.

    • These are better, I've stopped buying the breast pieces since these came out

  • Nashville Hot Chicken in Tennessee itself is bonkers. Hatty B's is the best meal of my life.

  • The chicken portions are juicy/tender versus KFC. Hopefully these are similar.

I tried the Nashville (spicy) and tbh i think the taste is way overhyped. Not that spicy and tastes like breaded chicken that you do at home, not necessarily a bad thing, but isn't something to write home about.

Decent below $10, not worth more.

I do like their grilled chicken fillet though, makes for a great quick chicken burger sandwich.

Using ingredients from multiple locations (china)

Had these last night very salty
DISGUSTING dry as a bone tasteless and nothing like KFC never again
These at $20 a kilo i should have got the prawns for $15 a kilo https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/96995/wool…

    • china? yikes!

always a worry when picking up colesworths brands but on a ridiculously expensive brand like takeout they are taking the piss - wouldnt expect such an expensive product would use the cheapest of cheap ingredients

    • chicken chips from aldi are amazing (although no southern style) and only $10/kg

much better than woolworths brand (like almost everything at aldi) and steggles

    • I thought they were from NZ??

    • Most likely from China…like some NZ fishes. I would never buy food from China ie Milk Powder. Electronic like my tv/phone/pc is ok.

these takeout products are so overrated here on ozbargain

they are so not a bargain that it's a dark stain on the reputation of this site

aldi chicken chips at their listed price of $10/kg crap all over these

    make ozbargain great again
