Looked like KFC had patched the app glitch for add-ons previously during July 2023, giving the error "Product related Addon Ons have also been removed from your order", however I was just playing around with the app and discovered a workaround (hack) on the app. If done correctly, you can get any of the cheaper discounted prices for the food listed in the title (Boneless Hot & Crispy 6pc, Original Recipe Chicken 4pc or Original Tenders 5pc) via the KFC App. You can thank me later. :)

Steps for this new workaround method working in Oct 2023:

  1. Open the KFC Australian App, make sure it is the latest version of the app.
  2. Select the store you would like to order from.
  3. Once selected, click menu, and scroll down to the section where it says "Shared Meals".
    Now the following steps below are important.
  4. Select any of the shared meals, ranging from Family Feast, Burger Feast, Mixed Feast or Giant Feast. (You will not have to buy it - don't worry!)
  5. When selected the any of the Feasts, at the bottom right corner, click "Add to order", then immediately click the arrow top left corner of the screen.
  6. A screen will pop up, it's the Addon On menu aka "We reckon you'll also love these.." - which is what it says at the top. In this step, DO NOT select any addons, you do this later. To exit from this screen, click X at the top right corner of the screen.
  7. If done correctly, it will redirect you the main screen. When you see this screen, go to your cart - This can be found at the bottom of the screen in the middle.
  8. You are now at cart, be sure to REMOVE whichever feast you added. It should now say your cart is empty and to start an order, DO NOT click start order, click MENU at the bottom.
  9. The addon screen pop-up should come up, you are now free to select whatever addon you want. Please note, if you want two discounted addons, you will have to place two separate orders as adding another feast will remove the original addon which you added.

That's it! You've successfully bypassed the app into cheaper KFC Chicken without buying the feasts.

    Thanks it worked.

    I also managed to add multiple add on discounts by adding different shared meals.

    I.e.
    If i selected giant feast first and removed it,

    Go back to menu select a different meal like family feast or burger combos, the multiple add on discounts can be in one purchase.

    Still works - got a great feed from George St Sydney today. If you're ordering from a H&S KFC, you can even modify the 4x Original Recipes once it's in the cart for $7.45 to any mix of H&S or Original Recipe. I had two of each, and the H&S were massive!

      I didn't know you could modify but you inspired me to ask them to manually do Hot & Spicy. Extremely fresh and crunchy. In terms of value this leaves Korean fried chicken for dead

          Your doing it wrong or to slow with pressing the arrow top left(back button).

            @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: On a side note I got an email from KFC yesterday stating they’re starting to delete duplicate/multiple accounts starting this week. Least maccers allows you to have as many app accounts as you want.

        My app is up to date. Is yours up to date? I am on iOS.

        Nothing comes up on the left. It straight up goes to add on screen.

        No prompt to start order. Says “view menu.” then heading back to menu from the links at the bottom shows no pop up.

    For some reason i cant get the 4pc add on to work anymore

    I done eveything mentioned

    It was just step 5 left corner exit didnt appeak

    I think thats why it didnt work, even though i follow the rest to the end

    This worked before at the same store many times, Broadbeach qld. Today, on 2 different devices, its giving exactly the same message when trying to check out,
    Damn! We cant check out your order, keep trying or alternatively please visit the store.
