[eBay Plus] 0% Variable FVF on 3 New Listings (Existing Sellers until 31/10, $25 Fee Discount Cap) @ eBay Australia

1020

Seems to stack with the existing 3 $0 Fee listings deal here for members, extra benefit for eBay Plus members.

  • $25 cap relates to the fees forgiven / not charged.
  • Any sale that attracts greater than a $25 Variable Fee will have the additional amount charged.
  • Maximum Variable fee free sale is approximately $186.
  • $0.30 Fixed Fee is charged regardless on each sale.

Promotion:

The Promotion entitles Eligible Sellers, who have activated this promotion in accordance with these terms, to a discount of up to $25 (incl. GST) on variable fees (which is a component of Final Value Fees as defined on eBay.com.au) on the sale of 3 Eligible Listings sold during the Promotion Period. “Eligible Listings” means item listings that are:
newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. they cannot be relisted items through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal);

  • listed in multi-quantity or single quantity fixed price or auction format only; and
  • not listed in one of the Excluded Categories (as defined below).

Final Value Fees are the selling fees charged on the sale of an item, calculated as a percentage of the total sale amount paid per item (item price plus postage and handling charges) called a ‘variable fee’, plus a fixed charge of $0.30 per order (incl. GST for non-store subscribers). More information about eBay selling fees without an eBay store subscription can be found here.

This promotion only applies to the variable fees on Eligible Listings that are sold prior to the listing renewal, whether by auto-renewal or because the listing is GTC. After this, standard eBay fees will apply.

Excluded Items:

  • Items listed in the following categories are excluded from the Promotion (“Excluded Categories”): Websites & Businesses for Sale (11759), Aircraft (63676), Boats (26429), Caravans, Motorhomes (32633), Cars (29690), Motorcycles (32073), Trucks, Commercial Vehicles (6049), Real Estate (10542), Services (316), Flights (3253), Tickets (1305), Travel (3252), Gift Cards (172009). These Excluded Categories are in addition to any listings or categories restricted by eBay's prohibited and restricted items policies.

Eligible Sellers:

Eligible Sellers” means sellers registered on eBay.com.au who:

  • do not have a current eBay Store subscription;
  • have Australia or New Zealand as their registered address on eBay; and
  • have an active eBay Plus membership. The eBay Plus Terms and Conditions will apply in respect of your membership;
  • have received an invitation from eBay to participate in this promotion;
  • have activated the promotion by accepting these Terms and Conditions by either clicking “Accept offer” on this Terms and Conditions page or clicking “Get offer” under the “promotional offers” section of their My eBay account; and

  • I got the same: You've accepted the offer "Plus offer: Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings". Not stack with previous post.

    • +4

Check your eBay Selling Summary and should now show 2 separate 3x free listings if you accepted both (6 in total). See here.

      • What do you mean with 6 free listings? Even your screenshot shows 6x up to $25 off

        • +1

Misworded as free, meant as in 6x $0 Variable Fees up to $25 off fees.

  • so an ebay plus member would in theory get 6 total (cap $25) ?

    • yes can confirm I have both active.

  • Thanks OP! Stacked for me.

  • i might wait until the first 3 are completed. who knows with ebay having 2 of the same active ….

    • +1

You'll be fine. It'll just use the first deal activated first.
Then when you use all of those, it'll move to the next one.

  • can confirm as ebay plus i got 6

  • $25? Better than some

  • +1

just a note for both the 2 x 3 they end 31 Oct regardless of when you activate it, so use it or lose it.

  • +2

missing the 0% FVP, with no cap.

    • Same.

eBay figured out the "sweet spot" for them,
to encourage a healthy amount of sales,
but also skim off the fees.

  • -1

yeah I got it, they never usually put caps on fees, even when they do no final fee deals now they still managed to nerf it also. Ebays marketing promos have just been crap over the last few years. $0 final free used to be 5 items with no cap. YOU LISITENING EBAY MARKETING!! $0 WITH NO CAP!!

    • +1

I want my feeBay Plus membership fee back. Getting monthly FVF waiver with no cap was the main reason for me getting feeBay Plus.

      • -1

Same. Won't be renewing my Plus membership because of this

  • So sad, I got this
“Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you.”

    • +1

Your eBay Plus has expired, that might be why your account isn't eligible.

      • Just renewed in Sep

    • what a joke and its not even a good deal.

  • What is max value of item to sell within $25.

    • +2

$193 given eBay fees are 13%

    • Beware that postage fees form part of your total sale amount too.

  • +2

Ok if you want to sell a couple of cheap thing.

Otherwise it’s pretty stingy and the promo advertising is a little misleading - it’s not really 0% final value fee it’s a $25 discount off the fees.

    • +1

      I got confused as well…
It says 0% final value fee, but then $25 cap

      • +2

same as free pizza deal says, 100% cash back up to $10 cap :)

    • Just be aware that within the FVF, eBay takes part of your postage fees too.

      So, an example:
      if eBay takes 10% and
you sell something for $100 and postage is $20 ,
      then it's 10% off $120 , and NOT 10% off $100 .

      PS:
eBay fees are higher than 10%

  • Thanks OP

    Excluded Items: Aircraft (63676)

Dang, was thinking to sell my pepsi jet

  • +1

    Thanks doweyy. 6 is amazing!

  • When I go to the link it shows me I always have accepted the 25$ fees offer. How do I know if this one is in place?

    • You've already accepted the offer
Plus offer: Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings

      Offer details

      • OP mentions in the comments to check your eBay Selling Summary (I normally go to the Selling > Overview). Scroll down to the bottom and you should see two lots of 3 listings. If you don't, then maybe you're not eligible.

        • I think I found it. So same offer applied twice.

Plus offer: Up to $25 off Variable Fees on Eligible Listings

The $25 limit is pretty crap when you want to sell higher cost items ~$3k. The fees (around $400) make it totally not worth using ebay at all. No way im selling anything on ebay with for that cost

  • Thanks OP. Stacked it with the previous offer now I have 6 of the offers to use.

Definitely prefer using eBay over Lowball Book, I can’t tell you the amount of low ball offers I get on Facebook

    Thanks again

  • I have 5x "start selling on eBay with no variable fees" I also accidentally activated one of these deals, now my listings don't get attributed to the unlimited but rather $25 cap

Anyone know how to fix that?

  • Nice, cheers OP.

  • Can I clarify.
Is it up to $25 for the eBay account (I.e. all 3 listings) or is it $25 per listing (totalling $75)

    Thanks

    • +1

Upto $25 per listing, so if you stack both offers you will get $25 discount on each item you sell.

  • Excellent thank you. Stacked for me, marked as starting 7th Oct 23.

  • "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is not available to you."

Damn, would this be because I have an active seller account with store subscription? (and eBay plus is definetely active)

  • Does this apply to existing listings, or will I have to close and reopen a listing

    • Seriously? You have all the details in the OP, how about reading it?

  • +1

LOL be super careful…. ebay gave me $2.92 off a listing instead of $25… not sure if they will fix it for me too. total waste of time

    • Just activated the offer. Hope it is ok for me.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

  • I accepted the offer and got the "3x no fee for new/returning customers" (uncapped) and sold a pair of Samsung buds which did indeed not incur a fee.

However, now I notice that seller promotion has disappeared from my seller dashboard (28th Oct), even though when I click the link in this thread it says it's already been activated and is still active as of 16th Oct (bit odd they mention that date, I activated earlier). It also indicates the promotion expires 31st Oct.

I'm listing another item for $1,300 today and totally expect eBay to rip me off and not honour the promotion, even though all the criteria is met and the landing page says it's still active.

    • +1

After all the negative comments about eBay support, they actually honoured the promotion and refunded me the $141 final value fee charged on the Samsung Galaxy I sold.

Very happy with customer support for doing that!

  • Too late to list now? It says "Items must be listed before 31 October" so I guess I had to list the items yesterday?

  • I couldn't see this offer in the expired offer today. I listed mid of Oct. Are they still Eligible?
