For anyone running a virtual instance of HA and don’t want to run it in privileged mode, I recommend running ESPHome on some cheap ESP32 modules from Amazon or Aliexpress. Setup couldn’t be easier, and they’ll pair with a heap of different BT junk.

Nice. I like the white ones over the black. Hopefully they go on sale at some point.

  • How accurate is temperature reading?

    • +1

The user manual says ±0.3 celcius for the temp and ±3% for the humidity.

Manual shows a calibration function as well, in the mobile app. Not sure of what other source many here would have to calibrate against, but it's there.

      • I work in the lab, we are planning to use this one, calibrated against our standard / reference thermometer

Batteries ‎2 AAA batteries required. (included)

Perfect for making use of all those enelooIps, thanks op

  • Anyone can enlighten me on the different between Xiaomi Mijia Bluetooth Temperature Humidity Sensor https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/649938 ?

I have lots of those and they are great. They are very small so have their niche.
These Govee ones are interesting to me as they run on 2 x AAA batteries (not CR2023), are larger and easier to see. Better for bedside table or the likes..

  • Got one.
I'm thinking I'll put it in my ferment fridge and use it with a WiFi power switch to control the temp.

    • How would you connect this thing to wifi?

      • Home assistant?

        • But don’t you need wifi to connect to your network? This thing only has Bluetooth

@bauser99: The sensor uses BLE, you can read the values and use that to control something on wifi.

For example you can use home assistant to track the sensor date broadcast from this device and control a smart power plug to turn a heater on based on the values from the govee.

Install ESPHome on some cheap ESP32 modules from Amazon or AliExpress, which allows you to bridge BT sensors to HA over wifi. Setup is dead simple.

The coupon doesn't seem to be there anymore?

    • Disappeared as I was looking at the item

    • +1

Thanks for the note. Mark as expired, it is now $17.99 without the coupon

  • Can the historical value be exported to a csv file?

  • -1

My sensor arrived but the package seems off (repackage of open box). Does not matter but just check if anyone have the same experience https://ibb.co/qswYpRf

  • Did anybody have issues connecting this to Google Home? I can't seem to link my Govee Home account to my Google Home account.. or at least it lets me do that, but then errors out and doesn't show me any new devices :/
