haha they are teens and a pre-teen, they still every holidays make a 'hide out' or 'cave' under the dining table lol

        • Thats awesome
Maybe the avo and toast will make it under there this year

Has anyone tried the weighted blankets? they are now $80…good price or ?

      https://theoodie.com/collections/calming-blanket/products/hu…

This is what I’m interested in. It would make a great throw over the couch but it is still a tad expensive for me.

      • Yeah thats cool. I think there is a space one too

      • Do you think the big blankets are one piece of fabric or do you think they have joins?

    • Hey theyve started their black friday sale early! Do you think they will go any lower?

Turbans, socks and dog oodies are 50 off and some adult oodies that were 85 not 40 are now 55

      As for weighted blankets

I have one from aldi that was around that price
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/600346

On the other hand google says spotlight has 60 and kmart has 30

But apples to oranges for the printed ones but those are 130

Problem with the oodie 80 ones is that the description doesnt mention if the cover is removable. You maybe dont want to put 9kg of beads into your washing machine? Maybe you should contact support and ask?

Also my advice is to start with the lowest weight you can find which is usually 4.5kg or so. And then buy more heavier ones if want more weight later. I found the rule of 10% of body weight did not work for me and i couldnt use the first 9kg one i got it was too heavy and it was less that 10% of my weight. But that could be a me problem.

      • Now the dog oodies are 30 off. Did they change it or did i remember wrong?

  • What do you think the outdoor ones feel like if warn waterproof side in so that you can see the print?

    • And do you think the smaller or larger size is better outdoors?

      • +1

I think large is always better…you can curl up in it…i hate feeling cold! lol

        • Me too! Im just wondering in this case, i imagine i would be wearing it to pick vegetables and herbs from the garden when its wet and cold, i wonder if too big could be annoying or cosy 🤔 on the other hand i am big myself 🤔
There is only one review that mentions size at all

Love love love ❤️ So comfortable.. found the zipper and the slim line design so much easier to move around in but still sooooo warm! In love with the outdoor Oodie ❤️

@bargain huntress: well if you dont like it and its too big then its just an excuse to buy another one lol

          • +2

@bargain huntress: For doing gardening I would suggest thermals and a puffer jacket. These things are a bit big and floppy for that.

            • @try2bhelpful: Have you ever tried one of their smaller ones?

(You are the oodie veteran of ozbargain. 😉)

              • +1

@bargain huntress: I haven’t tried the smaller ones.

I’m a late blow in. I only bought when they were $40 the last time. I do find them cumbersome when I try to do anything manual. Because they take so long to dry I try not to do anything that means they might get dirty. It might work if you push the sleeves up and wore a waterproof coat over them but I know if I tried to garden in them they would end up covered in dirt. Might be OK if you are just snipping off some herbs in a pot. :)

                • @try2bhelpful: Thanks very much. I wondered what they are like to move around in. More designed for snuggling! Long drying time sounds annoying.
The outdoor ones have like a waterproof coat built in on one side. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jb40IJY12ko
https://theoodie.com/collections/shop?q=outdoor They could still get wet and dirty on the edges of the fluffy side and the sleeve cuff i suspect though. I also wonder if wet plants might get up inside the giant bottom hem as i walk past. 🤔

                  • +1

@bargain huntress: The thing that takes so long to dry is the cuffs. I suspect they are designed for standing around and talking, strolling on the beach in winter, or Melbourne’s winter football watching. I mostly use mine as a bed jacket if I’m reading or playing on my iPad. I also use it instead of an electric blanket because, if you take your arms out of the sleeves, it makes a pretty good sleeping bag.

  • Theyve taken lot of things down, sold out ones

    • You can still see them if you search for asterix

  • The small pizza toy is $12.50 now with OOBFCM50

    • +1

I want a giant pizza toy to match the toast and avo…lol

      • Me too…
        $49
Not as good value as the avo and toast because that was two, but so very cute

I wish the clothes had the same pizza face but only the sleep tee does. I think those are still a bit pricey at 30% off / $63.
