Boost Mobile: $17.05 Cashback on $12 50GB 28-Day Prepaid SIM Starter Kit ($5.05 Profit) @ Cashrewards

3820

Hi guys. A Sunday special for the SIM lovers out there. Note this offer ends 10:30pm AEDT today (Sunday) at which time it reverts to $15.33 cashback until 7am tomorrow. For those with questions, @BargainsGrabber has a fabulous FAQ here that will help. Please also read my handy tips below before proceeding (orders are currently tracking to members within 15 minutes of purchase). If you're chasing a yearly plan, we have $50 cashback on the $300 SIM as well. Stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • Important: Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase.
  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering.
  • You must return and click through Cashrewards for each new transaction.

Handy tips:

For tracking success, ensure you disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close any additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Just navigate to Boost via one of the two offers on Cashrewards and buy. Try our iOS/Android mobile app for great tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

Sorry I will have to report as unobtainable/targeted deal xD

    • Based on my experience, only 6 sim cards can be bought using each Visa or Mastercard. Use another card, and it should work

      • Just tried it and still didn’t work. I also tried using chrome-incognito and still same result.

      • Was able to purchase more than 6 with the same card…

How strict is the condition to activate within 30 days of ordering? Has anyone in the past activated after 30 days and still gotten the cashback? I'm not talking months after. But maybe like a few days to a week?

    • +5

Telstra & Boost are cracking down on this so please abide by the terms to avoid disappointment. Thanks.

      • Hi rep, the problem I have is with the activation process. Keep getting this error, and then got put off. Rang CS and they said would investigate but never get back.

        Something went wrong
We're unable to process the request at this time. Please try again later.
        #

        • They would never solve the issue or tell you what went wrong. Just ask them to manually activate for you.

        • This has nothing to do with CR. Sounds like a Boost problem.

      • Telstra & Boost are cracking down on this so please abide by the terms to avoid disappointment. Thanks.

        :o

  • I've used Boost a few times but there are clearly gaps in my process/understanding, mostly around where/how/how-long I need to port away.

    1) Say I'm using Boost currently and my 30 days is coming to an end. New deal such as this pops up.

    2) I need to port away from Boost then back. I can use a $2 SIM from Amaysim or Lebara or any other non-Boost provider. But here's my confusion - don't I have to select a plan with that other provider - which certainly costs something? Last time I used the Amaysim 10gb/$10 plan.

    3) Then I can port back to Boost.

Also, when I port back in, I should use referral, right?

    • You'll have to buy a sim which already comes with a plan, which will cost more than $2.

      • So I'll grab those Amaysim $10 Starter Packs when they occasionally go half-off.

Any other options frequent Boost cyclers like to use?

I'm almost a year on no or low cost mobile service and looking to keep it this way.

        • +1

my choice is Lebara $4 offers frequently at Colesworths

3 Months Free on Any SIM Only (Commbank Card Holders) @ More if you are needing a rest from Boost:)
Just purchase a Boost Sim 2 ¼ months in (allow time for Boost shipping/porting issues)

          • @CC123: Thanks @spoddar01 and @CC123. I'm doing both. Had planned to go with More once my current Boost month is up. Just picked up Lebara on sale at Woolies this afternoon.

    TA = MVP
    Immediate tracking makes me happy.

  • If boost goes bust, surely we are the first in line to collect payment from them liquidating their assets right?

    • +2

No. You are an unsecured creditor.
Get to end of long line of secured creditors. Same as with gift cards.
Charge back to CC may be possible.

      • I was just joking xD

        • +3

Just in case anyone was taking your misleading comment seriously! Some would, not me. Just a PSA😉

  • +1

Tracked instantly and what a profit, love CR

  • Ordered one and it tracked. It is hard not to order another ;-)

    • Same :)

  • Thanks OP. Bought 5 for now.

  • +1

    gave up…changed browser / payment still can't get thru…

  • I brought a few amaysim last Black Friday and it will expire soon. Can I use this to bridge the gap until I get a better yearly deal on Black Friday. I’m assuming I can port out

Is this restricted to one per customer?

    • as many as you can purchase lol

  • @umoddbro

  • Can i buy using hubby name n later on activate using hubby id, & still get the cashback with my cashrewards acc? How do they cross check the activation?

    • Interesting for hubby id and how?

  • I was only able to get 2 orders in before the infamous 'SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG' appeared……

    • Use incognito/ private tab , it works for me

      • Good suggestion but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I think it's detecting the same address as that's pretty much the only thing I haven't and can't change.

  • Ordered and tracked, ta :)

  • Don't negative me but wondering if anyone gotten 2000 of these Sims before?

    Lol profit 10k

    • +2

That wouldn't be wise considering there's a limit to how many sims you can have activated per person, I have about 30+ and have reached my limit. So unless you have a community of 67+ people then you wouldn't be able to activate 2000.

      I didn't neg you btw

  • always say:
    "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG
We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.
    "

    • I kept getting the same on laptop but then switched to the iPad and went through smooth for 2 orders

      • my ipad also kept getting the same:
        "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG
We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later."

    • +1

Use incognito/ private , works ok for me

      • This method didn’t work for me

  • Thanks TA, ordered 3 for the whole family devices. Cheers

  • Good on you TA and CR, this was the fastest ever. Placed an order and the cashback tracked the next second.

My postie is going to be like wtf if he has to deliver them all on the same day haha

    • gyb doesn't get paid to answer on Sunday. Can he even reply here?

      • +2

I tagged the rep from the wrong company lmfao

  • Do people use these for there main number and port out and back in? Or just get a new number every time?

    • +3

I activate it as a new number and pop it in a wireless hotspot for excess data

      • whats goot wireless hotspotter/.?

        • +2

MF910Y is serviceable. Available at Coles or Officeworks. RRP $79, regular special down to $59

    • +3

i use them to get the $1 for 10 stickers offer on stickermule, or you can sign up to multiple JBHIFI perk for the $10 voucher, although it might be risky if they find out

  • +2

How long can we expect these deals to keep coming? I have just chosen to cancel nbn and use these for my home internet use. Using up 1 every 4 days

  • +1

tried pc desktop, ipad and android phones, with or without cashrewards app and different browsers, always say
    "SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG
We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.
    "

10 or 12 days ago, i bought boost sims via Shopback ($5 profit), dont get this error smg.

is this cashrewards' issue/problem, if so, TA please fix the problem asap, otherwise, customers will turn to Shopback

    • It's not Cashrewards, it's Boost's anti fraud triggering. It's in the source code of the website.

      • What triggers it? I buy 4-6 in 1 go and the only time that error came up was when I mistyped in my CC number. Got it memorised 100% now lol that'll make my pizza hut orders quicker

        • +1

Wish we knew. Some people get it as first timers, some people on their 50th purchase and every point in between. Some people never trigger it.

      • 10 or 12 days ago, i bought 3 boost sims via Shopback ($5 profit), never triggers it and didnt get this error smg.

        • And now you've triggered it.

          • @wavesgreen: what triggered it? why?
on my family's all laptop, desktops, ipad, about 5 android phones, how can all triggered it? how to NOT triggered it please?

            • @Orican: Read through any Boost thread. Loads of people asking those exact questions. There's someone else in this thread who is experiencing the exact same thing you describe.

We don't know what the triggers are. Some people can order 100's of these things and never have a problem, some people can't even order 1.

    • -1

      Try with google pay?

  • -1

    ordered 4

  • At the end of the 28 day contract, what do you do? Use another 28 day BOOST SIMS?

  • So do these deals come up enough so I can stop paying for my current monthly $12 plan on Vaya? Or can I get multiple Sims in separate transactions ?

  • These are great for my android head unit.

Swap out every month. Better than hotspotting

  • +1

Hi @tightarse, as always thanks for your hard work. I've got 2 questions.

    1. Is there a limit to how many numbers i can hold on my main account/number/email?

    2. If there is a limit and I'm required to remove these numbers (activated within 30 days). Would my cashback still be approved if i removed them before cashback is paid?

    Thanks

    • +2

Is there a limit to how many numbers i can hold on my main account/number/email?

I believe with the same ID and email each time during activation, it's a max of 36, in terms of activation with Boost. You can always switch ID and email. No limit on CR's side.

      • it's a max of 36

lol how did you figure that out?

And how long does it take for old sims to expire and be removed from the list?

        • +1

The max is officially 35 but you can activate a 36th sim if you do it quickly enough before you get the Successful Activation email for the 35th one.

  • Got 2, thanks TA

  • +1

How does boost/cashback make money from these deals? Just curious :)

    • +1

im sure they have data on how many new customers stay on after the initial month or their management has KPIs based on new customers joining

  • +14

Hey guys. Quickly jumping in to advise this offer has been extended by 2.5 hours and will now end 10:30pm AEDT. Enjoy :)

  • +1

Sorry I'm terrible at counting days on a calendar-what is the final date we have to activate these by if ordering tonight?

    • +3

      This may help you.

    • Just activate after 29 days then, easy.

  • +1

Hmmm seems like boost has disabled autofill for the credit card information boxes
argh…. guess I'll type them in —- the old fashioned way XD

    • Works fine on Chrome…

    • (Chrome for Android)

I am fully on boost sims now, my mobile, my husband mobile, my kids’ mobile, my business mobile, Wi-Fi for home and business and a portable Wifi usb modem, some of them need to keep the same number while some dont. Especially my husband is addicted to Diablo and he is draining the data, new card activated every few days for home Wi-Fi. I got questioned a few times when I activated in live chat why are there so many numbers under my account. Some CS told me they have problem putting the number in my usual boost ID and they needed me to provide a new email for that number, not to say our id are (profanity) up in their system can’t activated on my own on their website. It just takes a month to end up like this. Is it a me problem or theirs?

  • +2

New device, new cashrewards, new email, new name, new phone number, new address, new credit card still not working!!!!
    Except my old finger!!!

    • Worth try under VPN?

      • Don't think its related to VPN.

        • The fact that some first time buyers encounter the error seems to me like Boost/Telstra are blacklisting IP's.

          • @wavesgreen: new friend with new name, address, ip, computer, card, vpn/not, all fail.

          • @wavesgreen: Plenty of people still have dynamic IPs (like everyone using it in a phone who turns it off/on). So blocking by IP doesn't make sense because change your IP and you're unblocked. If they were doing it deliberately then they'd want those people to stay blocked. But their reps sign people up manually when they phone them or get on livechat. There's far better ways of blocking too, by address, email, etc. And some here buy several SIMs each time, while others get blocked from their first purchase. So it's because their software code or server is shit/faulty.

            • +1

              @[Deactivated]:

              doesn't make sense

You have remember that Boost is Telstra and their IT implementation is last century and nothing they do makes sense.
